I love java joes!!! The coffee is so delicious!! Everything I've tried, I love. My favorite is the salted caramel mocha and the purple haze. They always have the best ratios of coffee to milk and flavoring. The SCM has a really good chocolate base that is NOT chalky. (Like most mochas.) You can definitely taste caramel and coffee, and the salt shines through enhancing all of the other flavors. I recommend it a hundred times over! The PH is like spring/summer in a cup. The best lavendar white chocolate coffee out there. The employees are always so nice and helpful. They definitely o above and beyond to deliver a good experience and a great coffee. Personal experience: I kid you not I absolutely love their customer service and their coffee! This is my first time here and honestly the best coffee shop around here! Java Jo's is a solid drive thru to get your caffeine fix. There were about 4 cars on either side of drive thru when I arrived, but they were quick to take orders and move the line along. Super friendly staff. I got a tall (12 oz) nonfat mocha and the price was right! The mocha was hot and tasty. I could maybe go for a double shot next time, but it served it's purpose. I would return if in the area and would check out some of their other options! read more

Absolutely awesome Utah coffee hut spot. Yum! We had some of the worst coffee of our entire lives on this recent trip to SLC, so this place was more than welcome respite. It is on par with the craft coffee we have in Sacramento even. We had the cinnamon dolce, mt of mocha, and the salted caramel mocha between the three of us, and all were craveable tastiness. They actually tasted like coffee and the flavors listed, imagine that! The barista at the window was kind and conversational, reminding me of Dutch bros back home. Coffee hut drive thru. Really good coffee. I've driven by this place for years and have never stopped. I decided to do that today after a morning hike. On my way to my daughter's I looked for coffee shops close to me using Yelp, and this is one of the ones that came up so I decided to try it. Long Long lines on both drive through's. Line didn't move that fast so we just accepted it and waited our turn. I ordered a Frozen Mocha with an extra shot of espresso and a black house coffee. I was pleasantly surprised just how good their house coffee was. It was really smooth and no after taste. Unlike most of these types of coffee places. (that's why I was ok trying out a new place) the frozen mocha was really, really good. So creamy and you could actually taste coffee and mocha in the drink. I was wishing I had ordered a larger one. After such a good tasting experience I decided to stop in again this past weekend. The lines weren't so long but....the coffee wasn't as good this time. I'll be back at some point, but if the coffee tastes like the second time I went, I don't think I'll be back, since the coffee is on the pricey side. Wow! What the heck happened to this place? I haven't been here in a few months and came today to find a totally different store/experience!!! The line was short so I was excited, but I ended up waiting wayyyyy longer than usual. When I got to the window the girl was quite short and rude. Not my usual experience. I'm usually treated much better and recognized by name - but not today. Where are all the OG baristas? I didn't recognize anyone. I've been coming here for years, and know a lot of the baristas. I was totally shocked how downhill this place has gone. My drink was wrong and I threw it away - totally undrinkable!! It was all curdled, and gross. That never happened before. I didn't even bother to go back, I didn't have time to wait in line again. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Wow... the long time Highland Drive crew has all quit. Horrible treatment by manager and owner. Only position still occupied is the so called manager. Expect long wait lines due to no employees. Since being a long time customer, I've noticed a down turn since these employees have quit. They've lost a long time customer. read more

I love all three locations, but this one is the one I frequent. I no longer live in Salt Lake, but every time I'm in town I have to grab a Frozen Chai from Java Jo's, it's seriously the best! I also love that they give out a chocolate covered espresso bean with every drink order, cute little added pleasure! If you have seen any of my other reviews then you have to know that if there is a coffee kiosk that I am going to be trying it. This one had specialty drinks and your normal stand bys as well. For sizes. Some snacks. Punch card loyalty club. Good flavored coffee. And it came with an espresso bean! Staff was friendly and smiling. read more

Java Jo's is one of my favorite coffee shops and especially for drive thru coffee. I have a stamp card so I have a reason every time I go there. I have to! You know what I mean? Anyways... like playing a mindless game hoping I get somewhere HAHA. Anyways I get the Cuban revolver I think it's called something Cuban, last item on the menu and I get it iced with almond milk. YUM. Great amount of caffeine and always fills that sugar craving I so often have. Whether that be from my estrogen dropping or from running a ton of errands on low blood pressure, either way I can count on my Java Jo's, they are the homies. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops. The lines are always long but it goes by very fast. I have learned to go either extra early or a bit after rush hour to avoid the lines. I have tried nearly half of everything on the menu. It is all delicious. I have stayed off the coffee budget for quite some time but stopped by to see if they had any fall flavors and they did! I got the pumpkin spice latte and it melts my heart. I love the fact that there is a stamp card because then you are rewarded with a free drink and it makes coming back even better. read more

We have been customers of Java Jo's for 14 years, mainly the Highland Drive location, we loved the staff, they had our order memorized, I always left a $5.00 cash tip, we also go to 2300 E. 3300 S. and Murray 4500 S. 900 E. the staff at 2300 is good, the staff at 4500 is lame, they ask you to repeat the order, then get it wrong, both 4500 S 900 E and Highland are asking if we are leaving a tip, when has any server asked if you are going to tip? The service is slower than it has ever been, I wish that they would step it up and never ask me for a tip, I will leave it based on good service. read more

Convenient drive thru location with the nicest baristas! They are always upbeat and happy to serve you. Why 3 stars? All my drinks here have been weak! First drink was a latte and I couldn't taste anything except milk. Next time I ordered a coffee and asked for just a tiny bit of cream. I really emphasized that I only wanted a little cream, but the coffee was barely darker than milk. I will stop by a few more times and probably try a black coffee or americano with no cream to see if I can find a drink that is strong enough. But every other coffee shop I go to has adequate lattes and coffee with cream so I'm a little disappointed that so far this place has been on the extremely weak side! However, due to the convenience and incredible customer service, this place is worth a few more trial and error runs. read more

Ok. They've convinced me. I'm gonna have to ditch Starbucks. My new COVID-19 tradition on Saturdays is to get me some coffee and my child a whipped cream cup. I had originally planned to go to Starbucks, but their line was too ridiculous. I drove up the road to Java Jo's and was super pleased with the service. Everyone was wearing masks, you can put the tip for the baristas on your card, and they don't have you sign anything. The coffee was delicious and hot. I got my hubby an iced Caramel Macchiato and I got a Caramel Cubano (and obviously my child got a whipped cream cup). Everything was great and the service was super fast. Traveling through town my daughter wanted to see East high in person so while she was wondering the school I stopped in for a coffee, A guy was coming out with a bunch of coffees so I parked and walked in. I asked if they made a Carmel macchiato and the 3 hipsters said "actually yes but we are a drive through" So I apologized nicely and went back to my car and went into the drive through where 3 cars got in front of me . I have been a customer of this location for 10 years. I am devastated that all of my baristas quit due to poor treatment from the new manager. I have been through since all of the crew quit a couple of times and it is awful now. The new baristas are so rude and always make my drink wrong especially this girl named Brook. This new crew has nothing on the old crew. It says a lot that many of these baristas had been there for years when Billi was manager but they all quit due to poor treatment once Billi left. If I was the owner I would offer any amount of money to get Billi, Jamie, Lauren, June, and all the other girls back because this new crew just lost another long time customer. read more

Hands down best coffee i've found as a Utah native. Always excellent service, and they usually remember my order every time! Wish there was one closer to me, but it's definitely worth the drive. Their London Fog is AMAZING if you like tea even a little bit (I love it). On the plus side, they also give free chocolate covered coffee beans which are delicious and available for purchase- an offer I totally took up. Moral of the story, great service, people, and excellent drinks! Definitely a good size variety of options to choose from as well. 10/10 read more

To think, it started out as a new potential coffee place to try. Now, it's stuck as my favorite coffee spot! As soon as I pull up, they typically greet me by name, which is a great way to start the morning (or afternoon... or whenever I go). They usually know what my usual is, and have it ready quickly (and give my pup a treat, and/or say hello to my daughter)! They're no more expensive/inexpensive than their competitors in the market. The experience makes it "worth more", though, and I'd be happy to pay whatever price. Keep doing what you're doing, everyone! I'll be by soon to get my usual! read more

I'm visiting a friend who lives right around the corner from this tiny little coffee shop. I decided to try it out today after reading the wonderful reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed! I got a 24 oz Iced Mocha (tasted like a creamy, icy milkshake with coffee); a 16 oz Kramer (Mexican chocolate, espresso, coffee, whipped cream and sprinkles - yes, it was as good as it sounds) and a 24 oz hot coffee (I drink my coffee black so I'm very picky and always looking for another great place for drip). Every single drink was amazing. Plus, there were long lines on both sides (they have 2 drive-up windows to help service customers faster). There were 2 cars ahead of me in my line but I didn't wait more than 10 minutes from the time I pulled up to the time I left. I thought that was very reasonable considering the other side had perhaps 4-5 cars lined up. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat! read more

They are happy to explain different things on the menu and help you figure out what drink you might like, and even try to make things that are not on the menu! I have been to this location 5 times and all 5 times my drink has been wrong. It is so frustrating to pay for a coffee and not get what you want. Every time they either forget something, or put the wrong flavor, or forget the flavor entirely. I have never gotten what I ordered from here. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the coffee is decent, but plz save your money go somewhere else read more
