Located near my favorite place to shop I decided to come by and give this Orchard Valley location a try. #1. Cleanliness: The front doors were full of smudges, inside tables were for the most part clean. One of the call to order TV's did not work. Employee wiped down tables outside yet left the front doors dirty 2 Stars. #2. Service: The service was great! Really nice lady took our orders, explained what they put in their version of a matcha Frappuccino, and was friendly. 5 Stars! #3. They had laminated menus at the front counter that showed what their drinks cost. HOWEVER after we ordered our drinks we were charged $1 more per drink before taxes. "I didn't say anything, though I should have" 0 stars for that! #4. I told the lady that I like to taste my Matcha so she gave me 2.5 heaping scoops of matcha powder. After she made it, I could barely taste the Matcha?? After researching why I only use 1 teaspoon full at home and my Matcha is twice as strong, I found out that most businesses use a low grade matcha powder to cut cost "which is basically crap!" She literally put six times the amount of Matcha powder that I normally use and I could barely taste it. 2 stars. NOTE TO OWNER: It's your responsibility to charge the public what is written on your paperwork. And make appropriate changes as needed. Also, if you're going to charge eight dollars for Matcha, it would be nice for you to use quality products. read more

Good feeling here. Windows facing the parking lot south sunlight makes it naturally bright inside. Good staffing and good customer service as needed. Public restroom is available. The place isn't huge, but it does have enough tables and chairs inside and outside for you to enjoy a quiet cafe moment here. Menu is basic, but more affordable than most places nowadays. $5 each for most smaller items. It's a basic and convenient cafe/coffee shop with beverages/salads/sandwiches/pastries/etc. Lines can get busy with takeouts, but in general, it was quite pleasant and clean inside. Toss your own trash. I ordered the veggie delight sandwich on sourdough bread $10.75, added swiss cheese for $1.00. Tasted very fresh and good and clean cut in presentation. Veggies were crispy fresh! My 12 oz. hot cup pistachio cappuccino was decent, but I barely tasted pistachio flavor in it. Yes, they do have a special beverage menu list at the counter. Plain croissant $5.00 and Black Forest chocolate cake topped with cherry $5.00. Overall, very decent and inexpensive for a casual cafe setting. Nothing fancy. Just simple and great for small groups too. Staffs were helpful. I really felt great inside for 1-2 hours. It's a pleasant feeling and quiet experience on a Thursday morning. Parking lot is huge and not too busy with Harbor Freight Tools store on left and House of Bagels on the right. Simple can be pretty good these days. Good impression. read more

Been here a few times before and always had a good experience. The most recent time was before lunchtime on a Saturday. This coffee shop is located in a plaza so there's a lot of parking. There are a few businesses in the plaza including a popular ramen spot. I've gotten the matcha latte and the regular latte. Both were good, pretty standard for what I'd expect of a cafe. I also tried the lemon bar (not overly sweet with a good lemon taste) and the quiche. They also have specialty and seasonal drinks that they advertise on a board outside the store. Service is always good. The drinks come out quickly and they offered to heat up my quiche. Would come here again if I'm in the area. read more

Stopped by, since the wait at the ramen place was going to be an hour. It's nice and cool inside with plenty of seating. We were warmly greeted. My husband ordered a Mexican coffee. We found a table to set at. His coffee was ready so fast. He really liked his coffee. He ordered it cold on ice. He said he could taste the cinnamon and nutmeg in it. It wasn't too sweet which he liked. They have a lot of outlets to plug your laptop in. So you can enjoy your coffee and work. We will definitely be back. read more

Came for a late breakfast. We usually go to their Campbell location but excited to check out their new location on Stevens Creek in the shopping center where Bed Bath and Beyond was but is now Micro Center. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. We ordered the classic breakfast sandwich on a croissant and another one sub bacon instead of Ham. The breakfast sandwich was great and perfect amount of egg, and meat ratio. The croissant was fresh and soft. I want to give three stars, but I'd feel bad since the staff here are so, so nice. They're always smiling and doing their best to make the drinks but... I find that drinks I get here are usually pretty watered down. Maybe I'm just three for three on getting the one bad drink of the day, but it's enough that I usually come here as a last resort. But like I said, the service is great and there's always seating. It's clean and the outlets work. Give it a try yourself and see how you like it! read more

This place used to be something different, but now it is this place. Hell, it could have been several other different places before it became what is has become this day!! They got some couches, they got a bunch seats, but like, those plastic seats, that your butthole hates, especially when your HEMORRHOIDS ARE A BLAZIN', YA FEEL ME?! :D No? Well, maybe you should eat more sticks and tree bark and dirt and other s*** you find on the ground and in the woods. This spot was just ok. It used to be Chromatic and that was one of my favorite coffee shops, not sure how long it's been Orchard Valley Coffee but there being no one in there when I arrived should have been a sign. They do have quite a few breakfast options and pastries. I got a lavender latte with almond milk. The $1.25 up charge for alternative milk seemed pretty steep and the latte itself was just ok, nothing to rave about but not the worst thing I've ever had. Just very mid overall. read more

Quiet atmosphere. A nice cafe/bakery feel with pleasant staff and quality service. The egg salad sandwich was really creamy mixed with the crunch from the baguette and zucchini made it very delicious. The latte was good and mixed perfectly. The cheesecake tasted like it was freshly made. read more

A hidden oasis to get a latte and do some work. Right near the new Microcenter. The place is quiet, clean, spacious with lots of seating near power outlets. Staff are friendly and charming. Kind of odd(?) to leave a review after getting just am iced latte from this cafe. The coffee was definitely on the more bitter side (one of the most bitter I've had tbh) Service was quick, ordered, and the latte was out in less than a minute. The ambiance was cute, not too many tables but a few for working and a few couches to lounge here and there. read more

I ordered a latte here and it was decent. The customer service was terrible though. Two drinks were ordered in total and I asked a simple question of which one was which. The barista smirked and gave me a snark response, which was along the lines of you can't tell which one is which by the color? I have a color deficiency and couldn't tell the difference at all. This was rude and I felt humiliated. Please do better! read more

3.5 stars overall, but rounding up to support a local business. Orchard Valley Coffee has a couple of locations in the South Bay, and their Santa Clara location is their newest. They are located in the same plaza as Bed, Bath & Beyond. They were busy but not crowded at 12:15pm on a Saturday. Drinks were on the higher side, with iced coffee drinks starting at $6.25. I ended up trying: -Cold Brew (16oz/$5.50, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-YeRb4vmu9DMAsvy2RSEuQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Their version of cold brew was very smooth, but the coffee didn't have a lot of flavor. -Almond Croissant ($4.50, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=c5berdibG60ER2_ccv4MAw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Super buttery, and flaky. I liked the almond flavor, which wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting- recommended! I would come back if in the area, especially to give their morning bun a try! I was in the neighborhood and felt like stopping by the space that has housed numerous Third Wave coffee roasters over the years. Back in 2001 when I first arrived to the Valley, Barefoot Coffee was serving up espresso and pour overs there. A couple years later, the space was taken over by some of the former Barefoot employees. They became known as Chromatic Coffee. A few years later, former employees of Chromatic took over the space and called it Paper Moon Coffee. So the new occupants of the space have some pretty large shoes to fill, as Barefoot and Chromatic are the two most established Third Wave local roasters in the South Bay. When I walked up, it was clear from even far away that there was a new business in the space. I assumed that former employees of Paper Moon had taken over, like their predecessors before them. It appears that the decade of Third Wave successors has ended with the Orchard Valley Coffee. Gone are the kiosks with pour over equipment and overpriced 12 ounce bags of freshly roasted coffee. The walls have been painted white and I actually remarked to myself that the logo looked like it was an old-fashioned cafe in Campbell. That turned out to be the case, as this new location on Stevens Creek and Lawrence is the latest location for the Campbell-based cafe. When I ordered a pour over, I watched with curiosity as the barista filled a regular hot water kettle without a gooseneck spout. They put the grounds in a filter of what looked like a Kalita Wave dripper. They poured the hot water into the dripper which was over the top of a paper cup. I was told it was a lightly roasted Sumatra. Upon my initial sip, I tasted more of a dark to medium dark roast. Not quite Starbucks and Pete's burnt but it was far from a light roast by Third Wave standards. I prefer lighter and more nuanced roasts of single origin beans from Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia and Ethiopia. read more

Wanted to quickly grab a coffee when I was in the area and went to this cute cafe. We received the warmest welcome from the owner, and she suggested we try this Banh Mi. It was so so good! The baguette was very crunchy and the pickles inside were fresh and delicious. A little bit different from traditional Banh mi, this is a lighter version that would leave me way less messy since the portion of the filling was very decent and well tucked inside the bread. Their coffee was tasty too. I really love the service and the vibe here! read more

They were sold out of croissants at about 12pm , so my friends and I couldn't order the Breakfast Classic with croissant. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar quiche instead which was just alright. Seems overpriced for the mediocre taste. Portion size was okay. Service was fast for me but slow for my friends. Good amount of indoor seating. Ambience is casual. Overall would not be a cafe I would recommend for their food... maybe their coffee is better? read more

By default, their large iced lattes have 4 espresso shots - that's a win in my eyes. Clean, roomy, chill atmosphere and nice baristas. We always get a drink whenever we lunch nearby. The chai lattes are pretty solid too read more

This place has been a few different coffee shops while I've lived here. Safe to say this iteration as Orchard Valley Coffee is a step down from the fun and inviting atmosphere of past versions. The vibe was kind of a waiting room. I ordered a latte and a piece of quiche. The coffee was fine. No complaints. The single older woman working all by herself was pleasant and welcoming but the food (which was probably good once) was microwaved and stale. No music, just a tv playing in the background on a constant stream of political news and "opinions". Serviceable but not a place I'd go out of my way for. I won't be back. read more

The coffee shop is really spacious so I think it'd be great for working/studying. The barista was so so nice, and the inside is very clean. I liked the lavender latte cause the coffee taste was strong. Though the coffee was amazing, I can't really justify the price. The drink was $9 including oatmilk substitute, which is pretty pricey. read more

Great Frappuccino!I went to this coffee shop about 4 years back but they have changed ownership and completely changed the interior. Love the new decor. The staff is very friendly. I was not a fan of the chocolate cake as it was a bit hard. I would skip the dessert the next time but def go back for the coffee. read more

I paid ~$7 for a cappuccino. If not latte art, atleast the milk should have been perfectly steamed and well incorporated into the espresso. All I got was an espresso that tasted ok, but there was just a bunch of white foam added on top. read more

Coffee is good, but be careful with the food. They have distinct versions of standard dishes. The avocado toast for example is some kind is capreses sandwich with sweet syrup. I'm sure somebody could possibly like it, but it has nearly no relationship to avocado toast. In short, be sure to ask them to describe exactly what they're making you. read more

In my monthly haircut routine, I drop by here to grab a sandwich and/or coffee. I'd like to mention that Eve and Sokha have superior customer service as they are friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. They let me sample an orange coffee latte that they were testing (which was delicious) as I ordered a vegetarian sandwich with avocado on a baguette and an orange infused Vietnamese coffee. *First time review* I ordered the house coffee. It was good but must have been sitting for ages since it was luke warm. The chocolate pound cake was super dry. Based on the coffee and sweets I'd give this place a 3. The lady was super sweet and pleasant hence the 4 rating. I was in a bit of a rush or else I'd ask her to heat up the coffee. This used to be papermoon. We both got a decaf Americano, and they were really good! The staff was very friendly, and when they forgot to put oatmilk one of the workers kindly added it after. The cake i had was dry but the coffee is awesome! Their quiches look special so i will have to try next time. :) read more

After Chromatic Coffee closed down, there's been a handful of coffee shops that cycled through this location. I gave them a try on a weekend morning, and they were relatively quiet. The owner seems to be a friendly Asian lady, and she asked us about our coffee preferences and made recommendations for our order. I tried the Mexican Hot Chocolate and it was pretty sweet. The Americano was good, but I hear that their coffee can seem light for people who prefer strong coffees. read more

It's a pretty big menu featuring primarily coffee-based drinks, matcha lattes, and a wide variety of food, so you'll likely find something appealing. I ordered their smoked salmon bagel (which rang up to about $16) and their matcha latte ($8); to be honest, neither were outstanding. The salmon and avocado in the bagel were great, but the bagel itself was a bit stale--for $16, it's a bit hard to swallow. The matcha was very milky, and there is another store offering better matcha drinks in the same plaza. I'll admit, though, it's a little on me for not picking coffee at a spot with "coffee" in the name. I will say, though, that the atmosphere in the main area is pretty good; the decor is understated but comfortable, and the lighting is good. The service is also solid--the servers are friendly and our order came out quickly. I will say that the bathroom feels ominous. Overall, it's a great spot to study; Big Mug is open late, has free Wi-Fi and a bathroom for customers, and offers both food and caffeinated drinks for longer study sessions. I feel that the prices vary widely for items but skew towards being too pricy for the quality, at least from my limited experience. I plan on coming back to give other items a try, but for now, it's not a favorite.

Later at our table, my daughter accidentally dropped a plate and it shattered. She burst into tears, completely mortified. Robert and Elizabeth were over in seconds, not in a rushing-to-clean-up way, but in a genuinely human way. They consoled her, made her feel better, and had a fresh plate ready for her before she had a chance to stay embarrassed about it. They really saved the day, and did it with so much kindness! Come to Voyager for the great drinks, food, ambiance, but also for the humanity! We need more goodness in this world! Thank you, Robert, Elizabeth, and team!

It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again. Free parking in plaza lot.

However, I have not seen it on the menu since March. Hopefully they'll bring it back. They now have order online via their website (chowbus), and I recently learned that they have an app. This makes ordering drinks at this location easy since it is located in corner strip mall with minimal parking.

There is a sign by the registers stating that drinks are best enjoyed within 15 minutes to prevent the foam from melting too much. I like how their employees ask if you want whipped cream on top of Snowy drinks when you arrive at the pick-up counter. I believe you can ask for the whipped cream in a paper cup instead and get a small package of pecans. They automatically do this for online takeout orders. The Snowy Jasmine is phenomenal! It's fragrant and floral, you can tell the tea is high quality and not watered down. I absolutely love the pecans topping, so unique and yummy. I used to think their super thin straw was just a gimmick, but the tea honestly tastes better through the small straw than a regular straw. 4 stars because the Tongmu Lapsang Bubble Tea is just OK, nothing special. Sunnyvale is one of the better locations and Molly Tea is a solid choice for bubble tea.

My wife is 37 weeks pregnant and in the fucking hospital and these assholes wouldn't even take a pre-order for her or allow me to contact the owner to discuss it. Like I said, sent multiple emails and not received a response and their staff acts like it's no big deal and gave me the most half-assed apology I've ever heard just now and then still refused to bake her a croissant or allow me to place an order for the following day, saying "people don't pick them up" Fuck you, I'm in there three times a week trying to buying ONE FUCKING CROISSANT and these bastards act like I'm asking them to cut off their arms. I will never go to this place again, their customer service is dogshit and it's not worth it.

Afterward, that same nice girl (don't have her name is she is blonde) from the front came over to the table to check on me again and genuinely apologized for everything that happened with the kitchen. But please just recognize when a mistake is made instead of trying to convince someone they're imagining things when the food is clearly undercooked. The remade crepe came back looking perfect and tasting delicious.
