I started with matcha oatmilk latte. Very good. I was feeling a sweet breakfast and ordered the ube waffles served with a blackberry compote and fresh cream. Excellent and the perfect portion. Solid brunch spot in the South Bay. I went here with my family on a Sunday afternoon. Expect a long wait. Very small parking lot, I recommend parking at the next plaza over if there isn't any parking avail. The restaurant is pretty small, but the ambiance is aesthetically cute and clean-looking. This was the first time for me, and my friend, Wendy suggested coming here. I'm happy she did. It was great. It was super busy and there was a wait, but not too long. The atmosphere was fun and the wait staff was super nice. I got the Gardena, which is a vegetable and egg soufflé that comes in a small cast iron skillet. It comes with wonderfully fried potatos, yams and Brussel sprout leaves (crispy, which I love). A small piece of toast to finish it off and absolutely the best coffee in the Bay Area, as far as I'm concerned. I've had lots of coffee at many restaurants and this one tops them. I asked her what the "Millionaire Bacon" was all about, as I observed it in the menu. She said it's Amazing, bacon, and you can get it a few different ways. We decided to split an order of "Rosemary Millionaire Bacon". It was out of this world. You would think a IG worthy breakfast spot would be overrated or not live up to the hype based on their presentation... let me tell you Sweet Maple nails their presentation and quality of food. Seating we waited about 20-30 minutes on a Sunday morning. Their menu has so many food options to try and we had such a hard time figuring out what to get. It took the whole wait time for us to decide, I got the Chicken Croffle and it was huge! Croffle was a great doughy texture to compliment the fried chicken. I tried my Uncle's French toast and it was outstanding, it was thick cut slice and crisp as well. Went on a Monday morning thinking it would not be packed, but I was wrong. The whole place was busy. We got seated right away since it was only two of us. Also, we found parking right away since they have plenty of parking around the building. The host did not seem happy to be working on a Monday. She asked for how many and that's it. It's been a while I have been meaning to try Sweet Maple and finally got the chance to go for it on a random Friday. The place was packed both indoor and outdoors and we put our name on the wait-list. The outdoors was a bit chilly so we opted for indoors. I have to say the service was top notch and very quick..this is not one of those places where the servers take their time to come over to take your order etc. Even though it was super busy, they attended to us promptly which I loved. Once we got the menus there were so many amazing options to pick from. I went with the Hemingway and my husband got the omurice. The omurice was diff from what I was expecting.. I was hoping for the egg to open up like the videos I have seen from Japan but this was a simple egg on top of rice. They also did sub the beef with mango chicken sausage which was great for us. The Hemingway benidict was good too. The colorful plate was great to look at.. almost too many potatoes for me but I could easily share that. One of my go-to brunch spots! Sweet Maple is extremely popular and can get crowded, so be wary. Parking by this location is decently limited, so if it's a crowded day, you might have to park nearby on the street. Inside is bright and beautifully decorated, with sunlight coming in through the windows. We were luckily seated right by them, so we got to bathe in the sunlight. I ordered the dirty ube latte, french toast, and scrambled eggs. The french toast was delicious with the perfect crisp and softness to it and the bacon was perfectly cooked for me. Final Thoughts: 4.00/5 This place technically should have been on my to-go list a while ago, but my friends had a really poor experience with this place, so I just never wanted to go. My friends did want to go here for brunch and so this opportunity for me to try it just came up. There was a little wait when we got there on a Saturday afternoon. I typically find that these places do get somewhat more crowded during these times because of the hype and optimal brunch times. Will vary depending on the day and time and perhaps by luck. Overall, I seemed to have a better experience than my other friends did. The food and drinks we got today were quite good. Our service was great and overall experience will be a 4 star today. Food: Tornado Galbi Omurice: 4.0/5 This was my choice today. It came with a galbi and vegetable fried rice base, scrambled eggs tornadoed on top, cherry peppers, galbi for protein, and the demi-glaze all around. The bulgogi is very tender and has a lot of flavor to it. While the vegetable rice does add another component to it, I personally would have preferred white rice with the vegetables on the side or something similar. This is just a personal preference. I just like the simplicity of an omurice dish with white rice though. The egg was nicely done. It's a very thin layer of egg, which I personally really like. It incorporates well into each bite. Demi-glaze was also quite umami, there's a nice balance of sweetness to it, which I enjoyed. Loco Moco: 4.0/5 This was my friend's dish and I was able try it today. The dish has a wagyu beef cutlet, sauted kimchi, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, egg, and rice with gravy. The beef was juicy and the flavor was overall good. This was also something I contemplated to get. Very umami, some sweetness and a bit of a kick and acidity from the kimchi. Side of Fries: 4.2/5 We ordered a side of fries and these are really good. Their fried potatoes in general are really good because it's a nice crunch on the outside with some potato and body on the inside. This paired so well with their dipping sauce. Appears to be an aioli of sorts, but no one quote me on that. Matcha Moffle: 4.2/5 This is their matcha mochi waffle. The plate comes with two waffles and strawberries on top for some freshness. The texture of a mochi waffle is always my favorite because it's slightly chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The matcha flavor does come through and the matcha cream on the side gives it that additional kick of matcha. It doesn't need syrup or anything, but you can ask for it if you have a sweet tooth. My one minute note is the garnish. We could take this off, but the mint leaf just looked wilted on the hot waffle and was unappealing to have on that pretty plate of waffles. Drink: Matcha Paradise: 4.0/5 This drink is essentially a coconut water base with matcha cream on top. The sweetness was nice and it was really refreshing. The cream is thick, but incorporates well into the drink. My one note is that the matcha isn't too strong and I would have loved a deeper flavor for it. Otherwise, this drink is really refreshing. Sweetness was actually also quite good. --------- Quality: Their food seems alright. The dishes came out hot and crispy, so they appear to be made to order. The sweet potatoes were especially crispy and very delightful to bite into. The color of the matcha appears lighter and somewhat more oxidized to me, so I'm not sure what kind of matcha is used for this drink. My preference is a rich ceremonial grade matcha, which has a different color that is more bright and vibrant than this. Price: $$ -- $$$ The prices are definitely on the higher end. Price ranges will be between $15 to $25 with some outliers. Their portion sizes do appear of optimal size. I wasn't able to finish my food (as I never do), but it was a large enough portion. Given the food item though, some of these items can be considered more expensive than your average brunch spot. Service: Delightful Our servers were actually quite nice. There is one main person that helps you, but another waiter did come to serve us while we were trying to flag them down. This seems to be the expectation, but it's not usually the case sometimes. A delicious brunch spot with such unique dishes. I visited on a Saturday morning and waited around 30 minutes. If you're visiting on a weekend for brunch, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Because it was so busy, there wasn't any parking in the nearby parking lot available. However, there's a fair amount of neighborhood parking around. The interior of the store is decorated beautifully, and there's also a lot of outdoor seating. The menu looked fantastic. The parking lot is pretty small and slightly confusing as one part is only one way. We ordered the matcha mochi waffle which came with strawberries and matcha cream. Parking is few and far in between but I guess you can park across the street at the gas station? Once seated, service was super friendly, efficient and fast! There is outdoor seating and inside seating in a quaint cute little setting. My friend who has been before got her usually of the chicken croffle and I tried it and it was so so good. The chicken was so crispy and perfect and the croffle was a fun twist! We've been to this location multiple times and usually it's a pleasant experience, even with the hour long drive we make to eat here! But the last two times the service has plummeted in quality. First we waited 20 min for a table which we expected. Then we were seated 15 min before a server even acknowledged our table, then our food came before our drinks and some of us didn't even receive what we did order. We saw our server a total of two times during the whole experience and one was us flagging him down so we could pay. The food was okay, not exceptional like it usually is but the entire experience really ruined this location for us. This was my second time coming and I felt like it was time for a review. I came in around noon and was seated right away while I waited for my friend. They have a wide variety of menu options-all things sweet and savory. My friend got the tornado galbi omurice and I got the blueberry moffle with a side of eggs and millionaires bacon (2 pieces). For drinks I got an ube latte and she got an affogato. We shared and everything was delicious! I barely finished my food and my friend took her leftovers to go. They definitely give you enough food. Justin was our server. He cleaned the table I wanted even though there were other tables available. He was very nice and came by to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our total was $80 so this place isn't cheap but it's very good and I would come again. Came around 10:30am on a Monday morning and didn't have to wait but a line started forming shortly after we arrived. The parking lot was full when we arrived so we found nearby street parking. The inside feels clean, cute, bright, and home-y and service was quick and efficient. Tornado galbi omurice - the galbi was a stand out for sure - soft and tender, and the egg was so soft and silky but the rice was not as well flavored Sizzling stonepot with pork-lime sausage - comes out sizzling and I love the colorful presentation Loco moco - I loved how the wagyu beef cutlet was crispy on the outside The food and drinks are on the pricey end and the food was quite good but maybe not exceptional. Sweet Maple is definitely worth a try though! read more

Wow this is probably one of my favorite brunch spots in the area! We went on a Saturday so there was a bit of a wait (7-17 minutes) but it went by quick! We were seated and the waiter was amazing-- the food came really fast and it was so delicious! Chicken is crispy and savory with the sweet croffle.. such a good combo with the maple syrup! Omelet was soft and delicious; it came with a heap of avocados and vegetables on the side-- so delicious. Pancakes are iconic, still very very good! Would come here again, had such a great meal with friends! read more

My friend and I came here early on a morning weekend to avoid later long lines. I love how spacious the place feels with its all white furniture and bright lights, and I appreciate the work done to keep the place clean and fresh. Tornado Galbi Omurice: This was a standout unique dish! The egg was perfectly soft and silky, and while the tornado wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as we had hoped, the egg paired so well with the galbi. The galbi was savory and mixed well with the rice also. Chicken Croffle: While this is a simple dish, the presentation was quite please! There were layers of fried chicken and croffle that came together, and the spicy honey maple syrup that came on the side tied together the crunchy croffle and juicy chicken. The fusion dishes are creative, and the quality of all of them are worth the visit! read more

This is the 3rd Sweet Maple location I've been to & I love the clean, white, chic farmhouse interior of this one. I got the blueberry moffle, matcha latte, and millionaire's bacon flight. The blueberry moffle was not too sweet but didn't taste much like blueberries. I also felt like the waffle itself was undercooked. It had a rawness taste & texture to it. There was a generous topping of the fruit & whipped cream that was a delight! The millionaire's bacon sampler is a must get dish every time I'm at a Sweet Maple. It's too good to pass up! The service was great but there was a lingering odor of bleach in the air, possibly from the table cleaner. It was unpleasant but eventually the smell of the food overcame it. read more

Came here on a nice brunch break! Luckily, there was no wait and the service was quick and exceptional! The interior was very nice with spacious tables and seating. We ordered a few things off the menu. Ube Latte (4.8/5) - the ube latte was so delicious. It was smooth and creamy from the ube and it didn't feel very chunky in texture. There wasn't a crazy coffee taste, making it very light and refreshing! Latte (2.7/5) - just your average latte. I ordered it with oat milk. The coffee didn't taste very good quality and they didn't add enough sweetener to it. It felt very Starbucks drink. Millionaires Candy (4.7/5) - This was the highlight of the meal! It was so delicious and had a nice sweetness to it. One thing I would love was it to be more crispy. Other than that, I had no complaints. Frisco Scramble (4/5) - the omelet tasted delicious and it was even better with a hint of hot sauce on it. The potato was so crispy but soft on the inside. I didn't realize how hot it was and had me puffing for air. The Brussels sprouts added a nice additional crunch texture to the potatoes. Finally, the bread was toasted lightly with very delicious butter. My only feedback was that I wish the omelet wasn't as watery as it wasn't that pleasant towards the end. Super cute brunch place with asian fusion food. We came the day before Thanksgiving and were super lucky in getting seated quickly. We put our name down on the waitlist and got called probably within 10mins. There's indoor seating and patio seating. Once we got seated, service was also pretty quick, orders were taken and food came out shortly after. It was quite busy too. Tornado Galbi Omurice 5/5 - very satisfying. great flavour, meat was tender, eggs and rice cooked well. good volume too. Florentine Benedict 4/5 - pretty good. sweet potatoes were yummy, crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. eggs cooked well but overall just needed a little more salt Millionaire's candy 4/5 - it was great. a little spicy but too pricey Loved this place! Would definitely wanna come back and try other stuff! read more

We got brunch here today at 10am and it was the happiest times!! 10/10!!! Wow! We started off with coffee, they have a dirty ube coffee iced or hot! They were delicious and beautiful to stare at! I got the regular house coffee and instead of having just half and half as an option, they had oat milk! The oat milk paired very well and tasted delicious!!! Already, I was on cloud nine. Then our food came quickly! We got waffles, soufflé, chicken and waffles, the kid menu pancake (which was so adorable), the Frisco scramble, and the Loco Moco! Everything was delicious! I love this place. I would want to bring my friends from out of town here. There's plenty of parking around the restaurant. The seating is also abundant. We got seated in 20 minutes and it was inside, too. Once the weather started to warm up, they were sitting people outside. I will be frequenting this spot! read more

Solid brunch spot. Went here on a Friday at 10:15am and it was packed. There was a short wait. We were initially seated inside but it was stuffy and hot despite it being a cold fall day, so we opted to sit outside. The service was kind of slow but will give them the benefit of the doubt since it was busy. Our side of millionaires bacon came out first. It was sweet, had a nice char, and a good little spice kick. Shortly after, our coffees came out which was deff not worth the price IMO. It's coffee shop prices but wasn't as strong or worth it. I got the galbi omurice which was pretty good. The galbi was a bit too sweet for my liking. Did balance well with the rice but the sauce was also sweet. My husband got the Florence Benedict. He enjoyed the benedict and the potato medley with Brussels sprouts was a unique touch. Overall, the food itself was good but not something that's super unique or I'm crazy about. I did like the diverse and fusion menu, however, with the limited parking space and service just being okay, I don't know if it's worth going out the way. I'd give a try again with friends but did seem a bit overhyped for my taste. read more
