Came here to kill some time after the redwoods before a winery opened up. Unfortunately the staff was not the friendliest the morning I stopped in. No one was smiling or really wanted to answer questions. Asking for help finding a lid seemed to be an offensive task. The mocha I ordered was good, the prices weren't bad and it was a cute environment. Just the vibes I got from the staff weren't the greatest. read more

This was unbelievably disappointing!!!! The young brunette cashier was delightful and should be in the service industry but the red head was horrible. She was all smiles for the owner and socializing with the police but when asked to actually do her job and make a customer their sandwich it was a scowl that could melt ice. I've been coming to this coffee place for years and now that I've moved into the area I thought it would be a regular haunt. In her nasty behavior towards customers she lost a regular that would of brought in thousands over a year. I am a manager in the service industry and I would never keep her as customer service. There is obviously new owners to this place and I am very sad to say it has gone downhill despite their new fancy crackers and cheese. Go to the Main Street bistro, the river grill or even Safeway where they treat customers well. AVOID THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY THE RED HEAD!!!!! read more

The ambiance here is good, and the coffee shop location is pretty convenient for Guernevillians and tourists alike. Unfortunately, the drinks and food are way overpriced for the quality. Example: the breakfast burrito looked great and was warmed before serving, but it was clearly premade in a factory and unmistakeably contained powdered eggs (gross). If it were cheaper, maybe not a big deal, but it cost upwards of $6 -- Super disappointing. Coffee was fine, but not remarkable and definitely not worth $4. I left feeling very disappointed in the value and quality. read more

My sister and I have always loved this place. We just decided to take a drive to Guerneville to stop by Our favorite little coffee shop for Thai teas. Online it does say that the shop is open until 6pm. We got there at 5:30 and noticed through the large *open* window, a tall woman with dark hair cleaning up, and my sister kindly asked "are you guys closed?", to which the barista through up her arms and responded in a very rude tone "I mean what's it look like?!". My sister and I were taken back by her remarks, followed by "not to be a smart ass, but common". We both work in the service industry and know how to kindly treat people. We both also know that some people in the industry like to take advantage and clean/close early. I have dealt with rude people at businesses before, yet I have never wrote a yelp review about it. Her attitude with us simply asking whether or not they were closed was just so uncalled for and rude of her and I think the ownership should know about this. We are all going through a hard time this year, let's try to treat people with kindness. :) read more

I've been coming here for YEARS. I know I already gave it five stars back then (old yelp disappeared) this place is still as awesome as ever. The coffee is always good, and the staff is always friendly! Plenty of food items, and you get it the way you want it (unlike some cafes in vallejo where they give you the stink eye and talk about you behind your back for asking to tweek an ingredient) None of that here!! My accommodations only started serving coffee at 8:30 am, so I was extremely pleased to find the Coffee Bazaar opened at 6 am. It was warm and cozy, seemed full of regulars getting their morning breakfast burritos, but I still felt welcome to lounge for an hour and catch up on emails. Super cool coffee shop that I go to whenever I'm passing through on a road trip. Great coffee, delicious pastries, lots of seating, and interesting people watching. The one time my husband and I were there, he spotted a guy with a huge saber/sword hanging from his belt. We followed the Yelp reviews and decided to have breakfast there, we walked in checked the menu and wondering if they serving omelets , tried to ask one of the servers, a blonde girl behind the counter , my boyfriend repeated his question to her at least 5 times " Do you guys have omelets? do you serve omelets ? eggs , eggs... " he kept repeating himself and she was pretending she doesnt get the question and the accent in a very rude attitude . Need to mention my boyfriend has perfect English with almost no accent . Got the orders wrong. Then they didn't make all of our orders. Each burrito we got we had avocado on the order for extra and none of them had avocado. The worker wasn't wearing his mask correctly. This whole order took about 30 minutes for 5 incorrect burritos. read more

For the sake of their staff they really should get their covid setup better. No plastic guard for register, and person at register wasn't wearing the mask fully. The line was all over the place and you have to ask for the crowd to move so you can leave the building. This was my first time here! In fact we took a walk in Armstrong and were so pleased that there was something right at the end of the road that wasn't fast food! I got the Gyro and Elite Green smoothie. Both were absolutely fantastic. Sometimes I'm worried about meat intake in smaller places like this because at least twice I've had food poisoning, but the lamb in my Gyro was PHENOMENAL! The only thing that became a silent issue for me was the confined space inside. It didn't look like they were taking the necessary steps for social distancing. Tables were incredibly close together and there was only five seats available outside. There is one sign that seemed hidden, that said "masks required". A least a handful of people had masks off while on their laptops and NOT eating. Food is great, but with COVID taking heavy tolls in Sonoma County I wouldn't want to go back with such loose restrictions. read more

The breakfast items are all pre-made and microwaved before serving. Our ham and cheese crossaint was limp and chewy. We also shared the Lox and Bagel. Not too bad, although I would have liked the Bagel to be toasted beforehand, but since everything is pre-made, it didn't happen. Coffee with an attitude. I had a nf latte, which was actually quite good, but the attitude I could have done without. I kept waiting for the man who rang me up to yell, "No soup for you" he seemed so frustrated and annoyed that my family wasn't 100% sure what we wanted our first time here. He huffed and practically rolled his eyes right in my face. We choose this spot for breakfast because we thought our picky/diet restricted family could all eat here, which would have been true if the food was made-to-order and not pre-made and just re-heated. We ended up feeding our kids sugary/fatty pastries since they couldn't eat everything in the breakfast burritos. I had the oatmeal, which I expected to be slow-cooked steel cut "real" oatmeal. Instead it was pastey- tasted like instant. Could have gotten stuff as good at Safeway. In the future we would get only coffee here. read more

Redwoods, wine country, rivers, Sonoma coast, space, space, space, space space! Wow, I love it here! (Forgive me, I'm having a bit of a romantic affair with Guerneville.) Maybe it was the picturesque drive up the 101 from SF, or perhaps all the wine and hot tubing and wine, but after 24-hours I was sold. However when I woke up and needed coffee, I'll be the first to admit that I didn't have high hopes. I mean, most phones weren't getting reception, so I figured on the yardstick of interest, the idea of internet came just before, I don't know, conjunctive grammars with restricted disjunction. But smack in the middle of this little outdoor paradise is Coffee Bazaar. Free wifi, great coffee, friendly people and a fantastic open windowed setting. Sure the nude paintings alongside Eminem were, well, bizarre to say the least, but we went in for a cuppa to take away and ended up spending three hours lounging, sipping, enjoying, talking... about conjunctive grammars with restricted disjunction, of course. Highly recommended for a nice friendly punch before your day of adventure. read more

A cute little coffee place in Guerneville, which appears to be *the* place for locals to stop in at all times of the day. Coffee is decent, and the staff is very friendly and kind. There is a display case full of made-elsewhere sandwiches and pastries, none of which are to drool over, but are still decent sustenance for this sleepy little town. The walls are adorned with several paintings of butts. Male butts. Naked male butts. Naked human male butts. Different colors, different angles, but still... naked human male butts. Really, 4 stars? Are you kidding me?! Time to lower the average because this place hit rock bottom for us recently. In a town surrounded by such beauty, a few wonderfully upscale restaurants and cafes catering to an upscale and discriminating clientele that come from anywhere from around the corner, to SF to Europe to New Zealand and beyond, in an area with such a thriving vacation and tourism trade (at least six to nine months out of the year), and in wine country with vineyards and inns offering some of the best California wine and food experiences, it is unthinkable and a shame that an establishment like this continues to exist and persist. My wife and I have been here on half a dozen occasions as we have a second home just down the road in Forestville. We've been marginally satisfied to have a coffee or espresso and perhaps a baked good or muffin on the way to hike Armstrong woods and been marginally satisfied. However, most recently we were incredibly disappointed to receive two "scones" that were clearly made from a food delivery service cake mix, and with no love or care whatsover. They were overpriced and tasted more like cake from a gas station than anything resembling a scone. Two of these and a large coffee and we broke ten dollars. My poor brother in law and his wife ordered a sandwich made to order. After waiting almost thirty minutes, and watching many other peoples' sandwhich orders come out, they were told, "yours isn't ready yet, and it's being made". Figure another ten minutes waiting, for a breakfast sandwich! They ended up canceling the order and we walked around looking for something they could eat on a crowded Memorial day weekend. Meanwhile, my stomach was starting to turn from the low quality, loveless "scone" that I managed to eat along with a mediocre coffee. This place is hold-over from a small town with a slow economy where the locals won't complain or don't care, apparently. I don't find the service particularly friendly, especially given the high priced, low quality offerings, and when Sonoma is known for its warmth and generosity of spirit, which is what we typically experience in the area, whether we look for it or not. I will not go there for any reason, when there is a new healthy juice and wrap place across the street and there are much better places to grab a coffee on River Road, just steps away. I wish desperately that the owners would sell this place to someone who'd serve decent coffee, authentic baked goods, and maybe muster a smile once in a while. Also for being less than 90 minutes from the epicenter of SF craft-coffee scene and the Bay Area which is abundantly aware of coffee culture, it is appalling that such a low end offering can survive here. I recommend going anywhere else for coffee, even if it's a super market or deli. read more

Oh no, not another tourist review! Well, you come to where I live, too. So turnabout is fair play! Seriously, someone who gets around a lot has a good perspective on how things are overall and so can give insights on how good (or bad) an area has it. Then again, we could be totally clueless....maybe ALL the coffee shops in Northern California are this good. This place hits all the bases. Cool vibe, hip music, friendly coffee servers (somehow I can't use the term "baristas"...don't they work at Starbucks). I really love a coffee place that look like someone has been here in business since the first half of the last century. This one certainly does. Funky metal and wood chairs that look like they were obtained in a 60s school surplus auction. Old tables with wood and copper surfaces. The rather long bar has a sheet copper facade that looks poked and maybe beaten. I don't think anyone would do that these days except in the most high-end restaurants because copper is so damn expensive these days. I can imagine if this were in NOLA the looters would have broken in here just to steal the copper. High ceilings and just a great bright open feel. The coffee selection is very good, with the usual offerings. I love that they have a good tea selection that they will brew up an iced tea of any flavor for you for a modest upcharge. They have some good food offerings besides the usual pastry and light sandwiches. Hot items like a ham and cheese croissant (mmmm...), breakfast burrito, and hot oatmeal. Desserts. They even have an ice cream bar with a dozen flavors. Root beer floats! 5-stars for being such a standout place in the grand scheme of things! So...maybe every coffee shop in Northern California is this good. If so, then instead of apologizing for a 5-star tourist review, I'll just say congrats! read more

Interesting little spot in lovely Guerneville, about three blocks from the Russian River public beach and on the road to Armstrong redwoods. Totally great people-watching weirdness here, and good coffee. The staff is friendly and gay (it's Guerneville) and the coffee maker preemptively warned us there may be grounds in our batch of coffee and that she would replace it if there was. We were there on a sunny day and in addition to outside seating they had the entire front wall somehow slid open so you can sit at a counter on bar stools facing the street and it was like being outside. The tables on the sidewalk are right in front of the counter, so we got a great view of the happenings going on outside the place. The regulars (we saw them two days in a row, so regular to me) are a guy playing Nirvana songs with a guitar and many tattoos; a very butch lesbian, also with tattoos; two dirty little boys who harassed a guy with their requests to touch his motorcycle; and Jeff's girlfriend, who'll I'll bet you a million dollars is a meth addict. A lot of the people walking by and into the cafe seemed to have an air of meth about them. I was a bit fascinated. There appeared to be a plentiful array of baked goods and a wonderful selection a free gay lifestyle periodicals, as well as the SF Chronicle. We sat in the sun a long time and drank our yummy coffee and enjoyed the place very much. read more

Amazing coffee in a quirky little joint that is attached to a bookstore. Coconut milk isn't at most cafes including Fat Bottom. I'm glad they have it as well as really, really good beans. Super friendly down to earth staff but that's also almost everywhere in Guerneville. When I moved to Guerneville, in October, I needed to find a coffee shop I could write my stories and books, or knit and crochet for hours. I've been going to coffee shops since college to study and that habit stuck after I graduated. When I went to Coffee Bazaar, I was greeted with friendly faces and a relaxed environment where I could work for hours on end and not feel uncomfortable. The coffee is good and roasted in the back. The scrambled eggs are not officially on the menu -- but they were nice enough to make them for my son each morning. A great mix of tourists like us and locals. Great cafe! I came here for the first time this past Memorial Weekend and had Mexican Mocha and a breakfast burrito. The Mexican mocha is up there with some of the best I've ever had, they put cayenne pepper in it so it's pretty spicy! The breakfast burrito was really good and very filling. The only complaint is that the food takes forever! The cafe is pretty popular since its right off the main road when you first enter Guerneville so if there's a long line it'd probably be best to just stick with coffee. read more

After visiting the Korbel winery, my friends and I decided that we'd swing through the picturesque town of Guerneville, nestled by the Russian River and amid the remains of some rather impressive redwoods. However, we arrived in the middle of "Bear Weekend." And I don't mean the animals. Large numbers of large, occasionally hairy, always shirtless gay men over the age of 40 roamed the streets, taking pictures, swapping stories, and making a picturesque town even more hilarious by their presence. Coffee Bazaar is a great regular style coffee house, it's got a good selection, decent espresso, and even has a healthy ice cream selection. Strangely enough, however, they also looked at me a bit askance when I thought I'd ask for an affogato to cool off the scorching heat. The barista looked at me with confusion, the feathers in his jaunty hat, drooping slightly in the hot afternoon air. "What's that, hun?" Straining my voice to be heard above the sounds of the bears, I said, "Um, one scoop of ice cream in two shots of espresso?" "Oh, we can do that, hun," the barista winked. Delicious. It was like an Italian cafe and a National Geographic special all rolled into one. read more

If I could give this place LESS than 1 star, I would! It's VERY expensive. The entitled young chick that works there violates food safety handling practices, and is a total bitch. Not even kidding. I demanded a refund after watching her handle money then without washing her hands handle my food directly. The SRJC has a great food-handling-safety course that your employees OBVIOUSLY need to take. I had a good laugh as I was walking by yesterday at the same time as a customer was exciting the place. Was walking around town while on vacation and looking for a coffee, and found this cute place. Decor is homey and simple. Good music that is not too loud or soft. The woman at the front was very nice and friendly. I ordered a small blended mocha with whipped cream on top, and while it definitely took slightly longer than it would take at a Starbucks to make this drink, I really didn't mind. It was delicious. Great chocolate-coffee balance. It was a little too icy, so I couldn't drink it at one point, but again, I didn't mind. I guess being on vacation and not being in NYC makes me a little more relaxed and easy going! I'm happy with the service and the drink I ordered, and if I ever find myself in the area again, I'll go back. read more
