Found this little coffee shop while driving around with my bestie. So glad we stopped here. The service was excellent. We were greeted by a friendly face. The place had a great safe and quiet vibe. Swung by because my honey said this place had good coffee and he was right! The baritas Evelyn and Johanna were above and beyond kind and thoughtful. Were patient with my questions regarding the menu and estanlishment and we had a nice conversation! Very polite and fast with their service. I'd say the place is similar to any nicer coffee shop in terms of pricing with cofee being around $5-8 but the food doesn't make me feel like crap afterwards. The chilaquiles. Period. Get them. I was blown away!!! This spot was worth the drive for me. From the moment I walked in they were playing fun music, and were greeting everyone with genuine smiles. The star of the show was definitely the chilaquiles, and get this... they put half a bagel covered in cheese in the bowl with it. At first I was a little confused by the bagel, being I've never had that in chilaquiles before? But once I tried it...*chefs kiss* my flavor & texture mind was stunned! First time visit-I grabbed a carrot muffin with icing and an americano to go. The inside was cute and it seemed like a great place to get some work done. Staff was friendly. The star of the show was their carrot cake muffin. It was best thing Ive ever gotten at a coffee shop bakery section, no lie. It was a classic carrot cake flavor, baked absolutely perfect, dense and moist, with just enough icing (not loaded with inches of cream cheese icing, the downfall of many carrot cakes for me). I will specifically make a trip to get that muffin again. A lot. The americano was good too. Went down easy, good temperature. Will definitely return and recommend it to others. Modern decor paired with real plants set off a charming vibe to sip on coffee, get some studying in or meet up with friends. You can officially stop going to Starbucks, because not only is the coffee better but the pastries are unique and delicious. Had the guava croissant, and what a delight. Delicious and good size. The staff was also really friendly. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that I ordered a chocolate muffin, and while small for the price I thought would make up for it in flavor. Went here for brunch today and ordered a blueberry muffin with a latte. I have to say the muffin was probably the best I've had.. EVER. Make sure to get it warmed up, you will not be disappointed. The latte was also really good, I substituted whole milk for almond milk. There is also an option to substitute for coconut milk if you prefer. Gives you balanced energy jump and it doesn't make you have a energy crash. Most of there drinks feel light and tasty. New place opened just outside of 1604 and is a nice change from Starbucks. The service was great, the coffee was really good. The pastry was ok, not the best (they were not overly sweet, which was good), but I would still order them. The inside was very clean and pleasant. Stopped by this AM for the first time after a nice weekend at the JW marriot up the road. I ordered 2 lattes, 1 croissant and 2 bagel Sandwiches. The total with tax and tip was $48. Yes $48 I was stunned. Service was great, cashier was very sweet and made light conversation. Plenty of parking and ice cold water was available. What was off about that place was they also had alcohol for sale. However, the espresso was bitter and the flavor wasn't there at all on the latte. $8-$10 sandwich prices were way too high for a reheat. Sandwiches were a nice size but had no flavor at all. I'm unsure if I'll come back. I do try to support local if available and convenient. I know SA has some good coffee shops. A guy I used to work with is born and raised in SA (met his wife here) and he drinks good coffee supposedly lives nearby. $48 for 5 items was stunning. There was a nice dine in crowd for a Sunday morning. These 5 same items and any other local coffee shop is surely $32 max. read more
