They have some fun flavored drinks but I went simple with the iced latte with maple (Maine I kinda known for maple syrup, blueberries, and lobster). The drink had great coffee flavor and the perfect amount of sweetness. The only reason I do not rate it 5 stars is because there was one size for iced (20oz) and one size for hot (12 oz I think) and for my one iced drink it was $6 and some change. read more

I only went in here once on my trip to Bar Harbor, but the iced latte was AMAZING. It was probably the best latte I've ever had. It was banana, hazelnut and chocolate with a clever name. I'm writing this review from my boring desk and daydreaming about sitting in the park staring at the harbor drinking that latte... It was an incredible taste, not too sweet and perfectly flavored. However, it was pretty darn expensive. I looked at my credit card statement after and found I spent over 7 bucks on this thing. It was good, but I'm a natural born cheapskate and it was a little too expensive for me to indulge more than once. We had the lobster roll and traveling blueberry pie. The lobster roll was one of the best I have had. It had just the right amount of mayo and full of lobster meat. The bread was fresh and buttery. If you like lobster rolls, you should give this place a try. We also had the traveling blueberry pie. This was basically a hand Pie with blueberry filling. I thought it was okay. Were able to split a smoothie between 2 cups for kids (happily and without confusion) and remembered to ask if we wanted the kids to have whipped cream or not -- if 'they were going to have enough sugar at the 4th of July parade'. Fabulous place. I had an hour wait for breakfast so I came here to grab a coffee while I was wandering around town. It was only a little after 9 am so not many stores were open. Found this gem and grabbed a cup. It was really good. Came back a few days later to have their gluten free blueberry scone. Also amazing. 2 stars for the coffee, but an extra star for the friendly service. The iced coffee was very dark and not particularly smooth - had somewhat of a burnt / over roasted after taste. Seems like they are known more for their flavored coffee drinks than "plain" coffee, as most of the menu was devoted to these. Very nice little coffee shop! It was a very hot day, and we stopped by to get some refreshments. Like a few other places on Main Street, they have a water dish outsise the door for dogs. Inside the space is very small, so it's more of a grab and go place than somewhere to hang out. However, it was very charming and bright inside, a pleasant place to be. We got three drinks: an iced mocha, iced latte, and an iced soymilk matcha latte with vanilla. They have one size for iced drinks, a big 20 oz, and altogether our order came to a total of about $18. The matcha was mine, and it was fantastic! Not a super strong matcha flavor, it was more of a mellow green tea flavor that would still taste nice even unsweetened. The vanilla flavor I had added a nice, fragrant sweetness to it, but still definitely not too sweet. I wouldn't change a thing about it. If you wanted it unsweetened though, you could just order it without any extra flavoring. And of course, they have things on the side like Splenda, sugar, and nutmeg so you can fix it however you like yourself. The menu has a couple other flavor syrups (hazelnut and caramel, I believe), several types of milk, various drink styles, and some signature menu items like the maple latte (maple an hazelnut flavored). In addition, you can order crepes, some tasty looking lobster rolls, bagels, and pastries. I'd describe this place as sort of a non-brand Starbucks, with the quality of the drinks being a little better, albeit a little pricier too. However, don't let that deter you from coming--it's still not expensive, and it's an excellent place to get some nice drinks and a snack. Basically my only complaint is that almost all of their original drinks have either peanuts or hazelnuts in them, so there aren't very many exciting options for those with nut allergies. All I ever really want is matcha though, and theirs was perfect, so you can bet I'll be coming back. read more

We stopped in for a coffee and a quick lunch while on a New England road trip. Between my roommate and I, we ordered clam chowder and a mini spinach quiche. She also had the Acadia turtle, and I had a flat white. The chowder was wonderful--filling and filled with clams; it was perfect after a rainy day in the park. The quiche suffered from being out of the oven for so long but was otherwise okay. The flat white and Acadia turtle were both lovely. The service in particular was great. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave us great coffee recommendations. Definitely a place we'd return to! read more

What a great new find in Bangor!! Came down for an eye appointment, but I would come back just to order something else. The vision care building is pleasant and reminds me more of a cafe than an office building. I tried the green tea macha.. not for everyone but delicious! The owner and staff are eager to please, super accommodating and have a wonderful selection of specialty drinks as well as high quality standards. Great lattes! Not super artisan construction, but tasted pretty great. Also, there was a good selection of drip coffees and non-dairy milks. (Almond milk!) Owner was very friendly and talkative and had a conversation with us both times we visited. Very nice to tourists. Didn't try any of their pastries, but they looked fresh and had a good variety. Everything was amazing! The best Lobster Roll in Maine. The bread was warm and it complimented the cold Lobster perfectly. The Clam Chowder was very good as well although I will say the underwhelming size of the container is disappointing in comparison to other places in the area. The Flat White coffee is so amazing It took me an hour to drink it as I wanted to enjoy every moment of it. Excellent customer service as well as they cleared up a small misunderstanding in no time. I'm going to preface this by saying that I never write Yelp reviews, and the one or two I've written in the past have been positive because I'm a pretty positive person. But the treatment here was so egregious...If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The coffee itself is mediocre at best, and the prices are higher than it's worth. That's not the problem, though. The lady at the register was just despicably rude. She was so condescending to both me and my parents. If there weren't so many customers in the store, I would have told her right then that I too am a barista, and I don't need another one to treat me and my family like idiots. She was blatantly rolling her eyes in front of us and talking about us to the other staff, simply because we asked for a cup of ice???? Honestly her level of rudeness was kind of unfathomable. I can't imagine how this place has such high reviews after experiencing this kind of treatment. I'd call her out by name if anyone there was wearing name tags. But lady, seriously, you're in the customer service industry. I don't care about you having a conversation with me and fake nice and all that Starbucks customer connection BS, but your job is to *serve the customer*. We didn't do anything to deserve the level of rudeness that you served up. We're visitors to this town, haven't ever been to your coffee shop before, and you're going to roll your eyes and sigh and gossip with your staff because we ask if you have more than one size? And for a cup of ice? Are you serious??? If you can't even manage to be polite adjacent, you need to go into a different business, because obviously talking to people makes you miserable. read more

Really great experience on multiple trips during our recent visit to Bar Harbor. There are a number of coffee choices in the area but this is the only one that really strikes me as a true cafe. I don't have a point of reference, but I'm happy with its high rating. I'll call the decor "new Maine," and I'd say it's hip, except that they feature a bevy of sweet latte drinks. In a state of fatigue and dehydration, their iced coffee hit the spot. It was also a nice place to sit for a moment, although it's narrow and doesn't feature a panoramic view of the sidewalk and doesn't have Wifi. Was drawn in by the good reviews about their coffee, but ended up very disappointed. Ordered 3 lattes and a cortado. The cortado was nothing like what a cortado should be. Too much milk, very watery and the espresso gave me a bitter and burned flavor in my mouth the rest of the day. Lattes were watery too. Paid $24.50 for 4 drinks; not worth it at all. Place was busy and owner (?) very friendly. Shame that the coffee didn't live up to my expectations. read more
