Heard amazing things about Coffee Lab so we decided to take an adventure to the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store itself is pretty small and there was already a full line inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried their specials: - Caramel Madeleine Latte - Miso Maple Latte Im not the biggest fan of madeleines, so it wasn't for me but the miso maple was pretty good. By the time we left there was already a line down the street, so get there early if you don't want to wait and want a place to sit.

Iced matcha, lemon loaf, and peak summer vibes Throwing it back to sunny days in Lakeview and my first time trying Coffee Lab & Roasters, the kind of neighborhood café that instantly pulls you in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Between the bright, airy space, the pastry case calling my name, and that perfectly iced matcha, this stop was everything I want in a summer coffee moment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I grabbed a creamy iced matcha paired with a gluten-free lemon loaf that was soft, moist, and perfectly citrusy -- light, refreshing, and just sweet enough. Simple, comforting, and such a win for anyone looking for great gluten-free options that don't feel like a compromise. the service inside is so helpful and they're all so amazing!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Coffee Lab & Roasters has that easy summer energy with quality drinks, fresh pastries, and a cozy neighborhood vibe that makes you want to linger.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a Lakeview spot worth revisiting!

I had my first latte made with macadamia nut milk at this cafe and it was unique and memorable. The baked goods, including gluten free options, were yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's seating and a large window into the roastery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Coffee Lab is a small but cozy spot that feels welcoming the moment you walk in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The roastery is right inside the shop, so the rich aroma of freshly roasted beans fills the air--it's one of the first things you notice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's plenty of street parking nearby, which makes it an easy stop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is on the smaller side, but the high stools by the window looking out toward the street create a nice, relaxed vibe where you can sip and people-watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is warm and attentive, and the coffee delivers. The flat white stood out--smooth, balanced, and prepared just right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a simple place, but that adds to its charm: nothing overdone, just good coffee in a comfortable setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great service and food/drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A smaller coffee roaster nestled inbetween homes and other establishments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It provides a cherry and intimate ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The vanilla pistachio matcha is not overpowering by any means. Very smooth, flavorful, and addictive. The quiche is a very solid choice if you want something more savory. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are spots inside to talk and study as well as a small patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cute coffee shop with excellent matcha and coffee! They have a lot of different speciality lattes and matcha drink options as well!

The baristas were friendly. I had the Iced Pearadise Latte, although I didn't get much of the pear flavor it was still sweet and creamy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was my first time visiting and thought it was very well decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely want to come back and try their other lattes.

Ordered their latte with macadamia milk, and it was my first time! Subtly sweet and flavorful, better than oatmilk. I can't judge coffee based on lattes but their service was quick despite the line, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]room is kind of tight but still a fair amount of seating inside, and three round tables outside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom was clean and nice as well :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great little spot in Lincoln Park! It's a small café with limited seating, and it can get a bit loud when it's busy, but the vibe is still cozy. I tried the Pistachio Rose Matcha and the Blackberry Cobbler Matcha--both had a nice matcha flavor, I just wish the syrup flavors came through a bit more. The almond croissant was delicious and a classic pastry choice.

I go out of my way just to get their matcha! Every time I go, it's the same color, consistency, and sweetness. I'm really sad that desert honey dew matcha is a seasonal flavor they offer pretty standard pastry and baked goods [[HIGHLIGHT]]staff is friendly, however it seems like no matter what time you go during the week it's busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can snag a seat if you're lucky, but I would just grab and go as the space is small yet clean and well maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have outdoor patio seating, one table is shaded[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little coffee shop in the neighborhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly staff. The line moves quickly. Matcha and coffee options. I would go here over a chain any day! Most importantly - they have Phlour chocolate chip cookies and that keeps me coming back!

We checked out this coffee shop last weekend and ordered 2 vanilla lattes from here. The baristas were kind and the service was quick. Our lattes were just okay, the milk to espresso to syrup proportions just tasted off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite that, there was plenty of seating inside and I could see this being a great place to work from during the week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went to Coffee Lab + Roasters today for the first time and it was great! The parking situation was easy which is so appreciated in the city. I ordered the (I think it was called) Hot Butter Latte and it was so, so good. I normally only get iced coffee and don't like hot beverages but this coffee truly blew me away. It was smooth and honestly felt like an internal hug. My fiancé ordered the Cafe Au Lait and also enjoyed his. Highly recommend this spot and can't wait to come back again!

There's a fair amount of seating considering the size of the place. Wasn't able to get a spot today unfortunately, but we did go at a busy time on a Sunday morning. I got the honey and lavender specialty latte with soy milk. I get mixed feelings about lavender - sometimes it tastes pretty soapy to me. I thought this was delicious! I'd definitely order again and recommend it. Overall, definitely recommend this spot especially if you're able to get a couch or table to enjoy the space!

Even though we were seated at a regular table, the place had a comfortable vibe and it was easy to settle into. The counter women were efficient, nice, and filled our orders promptly. They did give my friend the wrong size coffee at first, but corrected it quickly and without any problem. One thing I didn't love: my cappuccino was served in a Styrofoam cup while we were staying there. If you're drinking in, it really should come on a ceramic cup and saucer. Save the Styrofoam for takeout! The best part was that we stayed for a couple of hours and no one hovered over us, or made us feel like we had to leave. As for the coffee itself, it was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable either. That's a shame too, because the space is so comfy. Still, there are plenty of other coffee spots on the North Side - and this just gives me a reason to explore others in the neighborhood.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.
