Poke is served from 11AM - 3PM, 4PM - 7PM (per the posted sign in the window). The store opens at 7AM, but no, you can't have poke for breakfast (wishful thinking!). ;P Not Hawaiian-style poke, but delicious all the same. The best way to describe their version is like a california-roll bibim(bap)-style. I highly recommend their special, "First Hill Tower" (spicy tuna with two-types of caviar and sriracha-mayo sauce), though the standard bowl with your choice(s)of fish is similarly tasty; if you order the former to-go, it comes in a box which makes mixing it up extremely convenient (shake-shake-shake). Everything else come in a to-go bowl which is a little too compact to pull that same stunt with, but easier to tote. Price and portions are just about right. Do be prepared to wait a while, especially during peak hours, as you will be joining the throng of fellow hungry medical staff out the door. The poke bar is a tiny section of the bar, almost as it was an afterthought, and largely hidden behind the beverage case; it's a one-man band back there, diligently pumping out poke orders as quickly as possible. Your patience will be well-rewarded. I'm not a coffee drinker and only drink bubble tea on rare occasions, but I will absolutely come here regularly for my poke fix! This coffee shop / poke eatery is an interesting combo. I was able to enjoy my coffee for work as well as a refreshing poke snack. Their poke was a bit sweeter than usually but i grew fond of it quickly as it melded together sweet and savory which a hint of spicy. Be mindful to get in early as this place will get packed quickly as it is close to the hospital. One great thing about this place is the seating really lets you enjoy the nice Seattle weather from every seat. Great clean atmosphere. Will definitely make this a regular stop. read more

Glad that poke is out and about on the mainland now. While I missed going to Don Quixote in Honolulu to buy my half pound of spicy salmon for like 7.99, I get a bowl here for what would have cost me like 9 or 10 dollars in HI now cost me a whopping $14! I understand times have change so who knows maybe Poke cost that much now because of the hype and trend. It's close to work and pretty much just another expensive option to choose from, the breakfast sandwiches aren't that great and the coffee is good. My rating is just A-Okay. read more

i was super surprised, this place was great. I've stopped in a couple times and was going to order, but backed out because the worker looked super angry. the vibe was off. This place is such a great spot to go to when I don't pack lunch. The staff are so friendly! They serve breakfast sandwiches all day long which is great. They have all types of beverages such as Red Bull Italian sodas, bubble tea, coffees, and teas. For lunch they have poke bowls, poke tower, and California rolls. The California rolls special comes with 2 rolls, one spicy and one not but you can request the rolls anytime. I was skeptical about Red Bull in an Italian soda but it actually taste good. I prefer it without the cream though. I am also a huge fan of the California rolls! Haven't tried the poke yet but I am planning on trying it. I would totally give this place 5 stars but the space is a bit tight so it takes longer to meet the high demand. read more

The food is excellent. The coffee is ok. The service is hit and miss. The first 3 times I visited this location (over a month ago), the woman who was working the register was very polite and enthusiastic. Today was a different story. I went in intending to order a breakfast sandwich, and was pleased to discover no line. I ordered, and then noticed a sign featuring fall themed drinks. I had ordered a latte there before and it was fine, so I ordered a caramel apple latte, paid, and waited for my order to be completed. The sandwich? Perfect. Exactly as I ordered it. Although sadly it began to cool as I waited for my drink. The person who made it was polite and professional, and smiled as she gave it to me. The drink? Not what I ordered. The barista/cashier brought me an almond milk latte. When I remarked that I had ordered a caramel apple latte, she said "oh, well I charged you for an almond milk latte" - indicating that she had no interest in re making the drink to what I had ordered. I then asked if I could instead please have the cost of the drink that she had charged me for back, since she couldn't make me what I ordered (as I hadn't paid for it). At that point, she changed her tune and said "well, no...I mean it's easier for me to just re make it for you..." Had an offer to re make the drink been her first response to her mistake, I would have taken it. But her snide comment about charging me for a cheaper drink was quite rude. So I went across the street to Diva Espresso, my usual coffee place. (My apologies for cheating on you, Diva! It won't happen again!) To sum up: The food is lovely. The fact that you can get avocado on a breakfast sandwich near Harborview (where there aren't many options) is wonderful, and the fact that it is made with a smile brightens my day. But the service from the cashier/barista was of a rudeness I am unaccustomed to outside of New York. This is my go to Poke shop for lunch. Well in Seattle to be honest cause they are the most flavorful place out of all the poke shops i have tried. The secret is in the sauce. We have asked for the recipe but of course they aren't going to tell us the secret. This place has some really great pokè bowls!! Lots of toppings and good portions. I got a spicy tuna and spicy salmon bowl. The ginger dressing on the salad was delicious. There's not a lot of poke places in downtown seattle. And ok, technically this is located at Pill Hill but it's just a ten minute bus ride up from the heart of downtown, which really isn't that bad . Coffee Tree is pretty small and you might walk past if you're not staring at your google map most of the time. Inside decor is minimalistic industrial, very light on the industrial touches. They've got benches along the wall with chairs for customers, which maximizes the minimal footage there but it's a hit or miss on whether there will be enough seats open. Price wise, I don't think it's too bad. Don't bother getting only one serving of fish. I got the two portions and felt that it wasn't that much but enough to fill up on. The salmon poke was a good quality and they give plenty of side options to go along with it. The boba there is average and the boba (tapioca balls) themselves didn't have a lot of flavor. Probably best to go with their coffee drinks, especially if that's what they're known for. It's a nice place to drop by during lunch and I love walking through the quiet First Hill neighborhood. It's got a Notting Hill feel to it. read more

If you get a chance go see Ryan at Coffee tree and Poke. I work at the hospital and go there once a week. The service is great and the food is consistently fresh and very good. Today Ryan got out a fresh piece of snapper to make my meal. The point? He either cut fish fresh for me as I'm a regular or more likely cuts the fish frequently during the day. Did I mention how fresh it is..... a lot of Poke places cut the fish in the morning and leave it soaking in the sauce all day. I can recommend this restaurant whole heartedly. read more

Have had coffee here before which was always good, but just had the First Hill Tower which is a neat little spin off of a poke bowl... comes out as a tower and then you mash it all up on your plate, which is more fun than I like to admit :-) Tastes great too...
