At that time she even told us of a local baker (sacred dough co.) who had her set up in the corner selling local sourdough bread, both sweet and savory. Our experience there was very comforting because of the lounge couches they have as part of their indoor seating. I only got their pistachio cookie which was baked by the owner. It's very flaky and flavorful. It's a nice treat so highly recommend.

They also said they have plenty of customers, so us not returning would not hurt their business. This is now the second time my husband has not had the best experience at this location. I did taste his vanilla latte and it tastes like dirty milk. I'm disappointed in their service and now the coffee as well. I'm sad to leave this review. My husband and I use to come here quite often. We have recently been visiting many of the small locally owned coffee stores around Tucson. One, to broaden our coffee buds and two, to support the local small businesses. This is one we will not be returning to.

Most of the workers here are amazing, but some have a little bit to much personal attraction to the costumers ( so far only female) and less attention to the food based products. Specifically Jonathan, Believe me when I say he isn't working overtime because his daddy owns the business, Having a sexual attraction bigger than monkeys has a cost I guess, If you don't believe me, read the other comments and you will see that the workers as well as the costumers have been sexually harassed. Over 62% of sexual harassment cases are actually reported,lets give this years award to Jon for at least doubling the amount of cases entirely. I come here very often ( almost every day) and find that the products are par core and the health information is worse than expected, which is pretty bad. The same jazz songs play on a loop all day everyday, honestly I would rather sit in a McDonald's play place with multiple screaming children than spend another day at coffee x change, The workers are overworked and underpaid. Anyone who comes here regularly can see that the food has been sitting in the cases for weeks, untouched and covered in a soft layer of dust and a heavy layer of bugs. When this business owner either retires I hope these get sold to a better owner who can actually make a productive business that is worth the while. Otherwise, I would recommend having the whole foundation torn down and chlorinated from all of the bullshit that the owners ran off of. And believe me, this review is generous. read more

I had a truly terrible experience at this coffee shop, primarily due to the owner, Jonathan. Our school often visits to support local businesses, but I will not be returning. Today, my son's class went, and as I stepped out of my car, Jonathan started yelling at me about the "no outside drinks" policy. I acknowledged him, but he continued to shout, making a scene in front of everyone. It was incredibly embarrassing and unprofessional, especially as I was holding my baby. Despite my intention to order, I felt so shaken that I asked my son to take the drink back to the car. Jonathan never apologized or showed any concern for how he treated me. His demeanor was aggressive and unfriendly, which made the experience even worse. I love supporting local businesses, but I can't support one that treats customers this way. I strongly advise others to think twice before visiting. The owner responded to my review on Google with very rude way. I can't believe an owner treats his costumers that way. I feel bad for whoever works for him. It's unwelcoming place and starts from the owner. read more

This business entity, KJJT LLC, is currently involved with several investigations due to labor/wage claims and health code violations. The employers have instructed their Coffee X Change employees to lie to customers about what ingredients are in the food and drinks, and how "fresh" or homemade things actually are. Current and former employees have reported issues with being paid cash "under the table" in order for management to avoid overtime pay. This is in violation of Arizona Revised Statues and hopefully a full investigation will be under way to administer necessary fines. If you are truly interested in eating their food, ask the employee to show you the container of dressing, meat, or bread so that you can see first hand the expiration dates and storage methods. I can guarantee that the manager will become irritated when you question the expired products and point out his own lies in front of him. read more

I went in early in the morning on Saturday and the employees were still setting up the pastries like they do everyday, I noticed while I was waiting for them to finish up that they dropped a pastry on the floor. I didn't think much of it when they set it on the counter after. Once my order was taken I noticed that the employee put the pastry back into the glass case. I asked the employee "Shouldn't you throw that away?", they told me "I should but I can't because the owners watch the cameras and will yell at me for not putting it back". I told them that I don't want my coffee made and that they can pocket the cash as their tip. I soon realized that this might not be the first time this has happened and I am afraid of what other healthcare violations might be going on at this place. i used to work here and there's so many reasons this place is bad. first off the manager jonathan is a complete weirdo. he flirts with all the girls and makes inappropriate comments all the time. favoritism is a huge thing here.. if you're new then you basically do all of their dirty work while everyone else just stands around and does nothing. they listen to everything you say and if you complain or say anything bad about the company, they'll fire you. i saw one girl work there three days and the minute she complained about something she was gone the next day. another girl was hired and she had to do dishes for the whole day instead of getting trained. they're not nice people. they just boss you around & def don't care if they treat u like shit. if you kiss up to them and play their game they'll like you tho read more

Stepped into this coffee shop and thought I accidentally walked into a bank vault - $9.50 for a large coffee with four espresso shots! At those prices, Starbucks starts to look like a dollar store. The coffee? Tasty, sure, but so is Starbucks, and they don't charge like it's liquid gold. The place greets you with a big 'no outside food and drink' sign. Talk about a warm welcome, right? Service was speedy, but the vibe was more 'Arctic tundra' than 'cozy café.' Eyeing those pastries, I bet they'd ask for my firstborn in exchange. I worked here for a couple of weeks, when I was hired they said I would be making minimum wage + tips but over my 60 hours of working I received $0 in tips on my paycheck despite working in the restaurant part constantly. The owners are frauds and claim to "pay the tax on the tips" for their workers... news flash there are no tax on tips (they pocket all the money). The owners are rude and treat their workers very poorly. Nothing is cleaned to health code standard, the sinks don't even have hot water. Overall please don't support this business there are much better local coffee shops out there, how they are still in business is a wonder to me. read more

I used to go to coffee exchange quite often because I enjoyed their beverages. I had a few friends working there who i would visit. the main manager was outgoing but creepy. i have heard some bad storys about him including him being a registered sex offender. he looks like his name should be brian if you ever go in there and are wondering. i had some friends quit because he would make advances towards the underage workers. i think he hasnt been fired because hes the son of the owner. im not someone to make false allegations about something this serious but im scared. sorry coffee x change will not be returning. read more

I have been going to coffee x change for most of my life and I can honestly say it is the best food and drinks out there. The chai extreme is the only one of it's kind. I am absolutely I love. Wish I could go there more often than I already do and have never gotten anything but the best service from theanager of the store Jonathan and the few times I ran into the owner Keya I truly can see that he runs his coffee shops with everything he has and makes sure everyone feels at home in his family operated business. I'm shocked this place is still in business. When I last visited Coffee Exchange, I discovered a roach in my food. It was an incredibly unsanitary experience, and I should've reported it to the health department at the time. Although I never went back and never will, I make it a point to discourage anyone from dining there. It's truly mind blowing that a company operating under such conditions remains open. Surprised there aren't more positive reviews here. They've really expanded their food menu since I started coming here years ago. The turkey pesto press is my favorite. The onions and turkey are honey grilled and you can't go wrong with pesto. Also their chai is a good combination of spicy and sweet, I like to get it "dirty" with a shot of espresso. Whenever we come to Tuscon to Costco, we arrive to Coffee-x-change for breakfast and lunch. The manager, Johnathan, always greets us as old friends and their coffee is very very good and my husband is very particular. We love their food, breakfast and lunch. I have been here several times. It is just great! The staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable regardless if I come in with friends or alone. I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. I had the royal breakfast which has a fantastic appearance. My wife had a bacon omelet. Both were ok, but I thought the taste was off. Our waitress was friendly. I do not like that there is no restroom inside and one has to walk down a path, use a key, and in my case, someone was in already in there which is awkward.

The only thing redeeming was the sauces it came with and the potatoes. The ambience was nice and the servers were great, but I would not recommend any vegan go here.
