Coffeebae is a cool little spot located at a strip mall near Southcenter Mall in Tukwila. They make solid drinks. My favorite is their Iced Pandan Matcha. It's so refreshing and not too sweet. I stopped by on a Sunday morning and the cafe served up good vibes, upbeat music, and was a nice place to people watch and serve as a meet up and hang out. I sat at a table waiting for my friend, and even with the somewhat loud music and lively conversations around me, I was able to enjoy a "quiet" moment to myself, zone out, write in my notebook, and sip leisurely on my yummy Iced Pandan Matcha :-)
What a great spot! We stopped in here on a whim and could immediately tell it was a great place as it was packed with people not only grabbing coffee to go but also hanging out in groups having a good time. I absolutely loved the color scheme with the pops of red. I had a rather complicated large order and they did a great job getting everything perfect! The coffees were amazing and the gluten-free macarons were some of the best I've ever had! Next time we're in the area we'll definitely be back for more!
Specialty coffee and matcha shop - great service, friendly, fast, helpful. Plenty of comfortable seating, tables and WiFi available. Large windows make for bright lighting. The space itself isn't that big but they did a great job with the layout. It was busy when I visited but didn't feel overwhelming. Enjoyed my visit, thank you.
It may be called Coffeebae, but I came here for the matcha! The menu is pretty evenly split between matcha and coffee beverages. They offer a few Vietnamese coffee drinks if you're looking for that extra buzz. Three of us visited for an afternoon pick-me-up around 2:00P on a Saturday. The cafe has a minimalist aesthetic and large mirrors along one wall helped open up the space. It was nice and clean, plus plenty of seating makes it a great spot for working or just hanging out. The employee at the front was so kind and graciously helped us with some questions we had about the drinks regarding sweetness and flavor profiles. Honestly, the entire matcha selection looked good to me... I'm sure I would have been happy with any drink even if I picked one randomly! All matcha drinks are crafted with oat milk by default but you can substitute for almond or whole milk at no extra cost. Additionally, any drink can be made hot. While we ordered, it seemed like the barista was already getting a start on our drinks, so our three matchas were all whisked and poured within less than five minutes of paying. Super quick! + MATCHA EINSPANNER ($9): This was my first time trying Einspanner... finally! The creamy top was rich, milky and had just the right amount of sweetness, complementing the matcha latte as I took each sip. The matcha itself was very smooth and mild which was not surprising as they use Uji ceremonial grade. It was a lovely deep green color and I actually felt the hit of caffeine after drinking it, so they must have been generous with their scoops! The drink contained more ice than I would have liked, but I decided not to mess with the proportions, besides opting for 50% sweet, which was perfect. My companions enjoyed the MATCHA MATCHA (matcha latte + matcha cream) and the PANDAN MATCHA (matcha latte + pandan cream). Pandan gave it a wonderful coconut and vanilla essence, balancing out well with the matcha. At $9 each, the drinks felt a bit steep, but the quality truly justified the price. Since I'm rarely in Tukwila, the small splurge was well worth it... especially since I finally crossed 'Einspanner' off my culinary bucket list after years of waiting!
With this being my first spot as a Seattle tourist, we're off to a good start. The interior is pretty simple but slightly chic but it was aesthetically pleasing, just like the drinks! And while I didn't have any coffee (my dad said it was great and had a rich, deep flavor) the strawberry matcha was excellent! I also got a very strong matcha taste and the puree on the bottom balances it out. I could've gotten it a little sweeter but I believe you can pick your sweetness. Also got a raspberry croissant which was alright. I wish it had a little more filling but the flavor was good. Customer service was amazing, she gave us some restaurant recommendations around town.
Love this cafe! Staff members are always so kind and friendly. It's my go to spot before heading out to Seattle or if I need a place to work from. The aesthetics of the cafe is so cute. My favorite item is their Pandan coffee - the consistency of the drink is always perfect and a great mid afternoon pick me up. You can definitely taste the espresso with hints of Pandan throughout
Quiet coffee shop tucked away with large parking lot Upon entering the interior is very cute and modern, lots of seatings and tables. Perfect spot to bring your laptop to hang around and do some work I ordered the pandan coffee and the staff were quick with making the drink and brought it to our table. Excellent service! The coffee was a perfect balance of sweetness My friend got the matcha latte and I'm not really a matcha person but I very much enjoyed it, great quality, smooth and not too sweet
I was supposed to meet my friend at some coffee food truck that was highly rated, but there was no parking there and so she found this place. There was plenty of parking and it was a large inside so we had no problem finding a seat. When I approached the front counter they were so nice. I asked what to order and they pointed out popular items. I chose the salted coffee I've never seen anything like this. Apparently it comes cold but I like hot coffee and they said it was no problem. I believe it was a $9 coffee... maybe that's with tho, but we sat there talking for three hours and with the salt... It was and condensed milk it was like a meal. I was full all day. I'd love to visit a place like this on the Eastside!
I ordered a sesame coffee with less ice and it was delicious! It came with plenty of foam on top and the coffee was great too. I will definitely be back to try a matcha drink! Decor is so cute, I could see myself meeting up with friends and doing some work here. Service is good, the baristas are very kind and friendly!
Coffee Bae is a great spot if you're looking for a solid caffeine boost. The coffee is strong and definitely does the job when you need that extra energy. The shop itself is clean and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly. One thing I really liked is that they bring the drinks out to you, which adds a nice touch to the overall experience. My boyfriend and I were at the DMV at Tukwila and I really wanted some coffee so I saw that Coffeebae was nearby and had a unique selection. We entered and were greeted by friendly staff members and a gorgeous interior. There is plenty of seating for solo or groups. My boyfriend got their Einspanner coffee while I got the pandan coffee with light ice, just a heads up that these drinks are served iced unless you let them know. Once we paid, we were told that they would bring out the drinks for us and we can have a seat anywhere we'd like. I also saw that on Yelp they were dog friendly and I can confirm that the business does allow dogs as long as they are well behaved and do not make a mess. The drinks didn't take too long which was awesome as we had an appointment but we made it in time to have ample time to get coffee just in case they were busy. The drinks were made to perfection! My boyfriend's einspanner coffee was smooth and had the right sweetness. My pandan coffee definitely had a delightful pandan flavor with the same smooth coffee. They did have a steady amount of customers at 9am on a Monday so good to see that they are getting good business. I also saw and heard many customers ordering their matcha drinks and I do want to try that next time. Super excited to come back for a future date with my boyfriend and fur babies!

Walking in it's so aesthetic and cute lots of room for seating I didn't get a picture of the inside since I was on a call. Service is friendly coffee taste really good not too sweet. Strawberry Matcha was delicious too would definitely come back for my fix

A new Vietnamese cafe to try out. They opened recently so their menu seems a little limited. They only offer drinks such as Viet coffee, matcha, and tea. I had their egg coffee which was good. The foam was nice, however, the coffee was a bit too sweet for me. The service is okay. The server gave me a receipt that said "junk" which I thought was inconsiderate. I think they should've put in a little more effort and given me an assigned number receipt. When they called out my receipt name, people around us noticed the "junk" receipt. The coffee took a bit long to make as well. The ambiance is good. Nicely decorated and organized, however I wished there were more traditional Vietnamese decorations to express the culture more. read more
Cute new place! Space is so bright and welcoming. Lots of seats but I ordered to go as I was picking up some drinks for my friend. I ordered the pandan coffee, strawberry matcha with a cream top and strawberry milk with ube foam. Everything came out rather quickly and so pretty. I love seeing the layers in the drinks. The staff was pleasant. I'll definitely have to come back to try the other drinks they offer! read more
I came here because I saw my friend made an IG post so I'm like oh I want to try. First off the place is very aesthetic, good lighting, such good vibe. Staff were very friendly and the place is very clean. I got the pandan matcha, I love pandan and matcha so what a perfect combo. In my opinion I would definitely ask for a bit sweeter next time, just because I have a sweeter tooth. The matcha was good not so bitter and the pandan foam was nice. Went to check out this cute new coffee shop near the backside of the mall. We tried the black sesame, salted foam coffee, and the bac sủi? All were great only thing is they are on the sweeter and bold and thicker type of coffee. Made with condensed milk. They also have matcha as well which they hand mix and whisk in person. So probably try that next time. read more

Large parking lot, tucked away. A calm-energy cafe with ample seating and gentle lighting. There were a few groups of people midday. The girls working were friendly and engaging with customers while balancing drinks and helping people. I got a strawberry matcha and it was really good! I have only liked strawberry matcha at 1 other place in my lifetime so I was really impressed. It's not only beautiful in the photo but some quick stirring distributed the strawberry in a good way (if you've had strawberry matcha before, you know what I mean). I think this place will do well here, the location is good and there isn't another place in Tukwila that does good matcha. I'm looking forward to frequent this place now! read more
I have been wanting to try this place and finally got to do so! I came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was packed! The inside was spacious and cozy, filled with plushed seatings and plenty of tables. There's a Christmas tree all decked out. I was greeted with the friendly workers, who took the time to review their drink menu. I decided to try their pandan coffee while my partner got the ube coffee. The owner was so kind and gave us a discount on one of the drinks. Menu is minimal at the moment since they're currently having their soft opening. The drinks were so good! The coffee was strong but I do wish the pandan has more flavor. I like the ube coffee very much though. I saw they sell pastries on the display case, which is a huge plus. I'm so glad there's a Vietnamese coffee place in Tukwila now. I will definitely come back for some Vietnamese coffee fix! read more

One of the best matcha drinks I have tried till now. They recently open and I got a chance to visit this. They are located closer to Southcenter mall and they have a lot of parking space. The place has a lot of seating and their interior is pretty nice! The server were really nice gave us a few suggestions and we were provided the drink pretty fast. OKAY! The interior of the cafe was very nicely decorated and there's plenty of seating for those who wants a place to study or do work. As for drinks I ended up getting the strawberry matcha and the black sesame coffee. The strawberry matcha already comes with oat milk which is nice because a lot of other places charges extra for milk substitute. I would say the matcha is alright, the matcha wasn't very strong since it was overwhelmed by the milk and the sweetness of the strawberry. But the coffee was good, it's strong which I use to determine a good coffee. Overall I would def come back for the coffee and to study here. read more

If you guys haven't tried this place out yet, you should whenever you are in the tukwila area. Their matcha is so good an it's worth the try. The matcha einspanner was done so well! Matcha tastes high quality and the cream is made from whole milk and has a lovely, rich dairy flavor that you'll want to lick up. It's sweetened with agave but not too sweet like some other local cafes serving matcha drinks. I ended up chatting a bit with the baristas (both super friendly and sweet) and was so surprised to find out that the drink was made with oat milk. Apparently all their matcha drinks are made with oat milk by default so keep that in mind, but I honestly didn't even notice it! I normally don't like how overpowering the oat flavor is in matcha drinks but they said that they specifically chose this oat milk because it allowed the matcha flavor to shine through. Love it. Next time I'll definitely be trying their viet coffee. read more
Coffeebae is a great spot for Vietnamese coffee. The egg coffee was rich and custardy, and the staff were incredibly accommodating about sweetness, even offering a sample first. The space is comfortable for working or catching up, and they also offer matcha and a small selection of pastries. Definitely coming back. read more
It's not always easy to find really good Vietnamese coffee outside of Seattle, and they definitely have one of the better Vietnamese coffees in the area!! The staff was suuuuper friendly - we struggled with the menu a bit and they were happy to help us navigate what to get and we were definitely happy with our choices. A modern, cozy, and upscale café perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. I tried the Vietnamese coffee with salty foam, and it was the perfect balance of coffee and salt. I loved the texture and flavor (not too sweet). I'd definitely recommend it and will absolutely be back. The staff were friendly and very patient while I took my time deciding, and the barista kindly suggested the Vietnamese coffee with either salty foam or egg foam. read more

Ive been on a matcha mission to try out all the matcha in Seattle. I found out about coffeebae through TikTok and it was during their soft opening. The inside is really aesthetic and the service is really friendly and attentive. I have been there a couple times and they recognize me. I usually ask to add extra matcha at other places but this place there was no need for it. I've tried the matcha with strawberry purée (also with the matcha foam, and ube foam another time) both were good! All my friends who has been there said their drinks was on point as well. Parking is also plenty. And I love that the milk is the default for some of the matcha. This is by far the best matcha place to go to in the south end! Come here :) read more

Coffeebae has the best viet coffee in all of Seattle. I'd even say it compares to viet coffee in SoCal. It's strong and delicious and has the perfect amount of sweetness. I'm looking forward visiting again after their soft opening when they'll have hot drinks available. Their staff were very sweet and attentive. Beautiful space to hang with friends or get work done. I've been here twice. The first time was a few months ago in December. It was only one person working so we waited quite some time for our drink. That time I went it was good, I've actually recommended it to a handful of people. But today we returned and tried the ube coffee & ube matcha. It wasn't to my liking and definitely dropped my rating down from my initial visit. The ube coffee - the coffee taste was not as strong as it was last time. The ube didn't taste like ube whatsoever, which is disappointing. Just tasted like a milky foam and it wasn't thick like that so it mixed in the drink quick. Now the ube matcha wasn't to my preference either. It tasted really grassy, like really earthy compared to other types of matcha I've tasted before. I'm not sure if the "ube" brought out that enhancement in earthy tones but again, the ube wasn't like ube taste at all. From these two experiences, it's giving inconsistency. I'll give it a 3rd time try next time and if it isn't like my first time visiting a few months ago, I'd probably go elsewhere for my drink fix. read more

Baristas were so friendly upon on our first visit here! Drinks were good - matcha was STRONG and Viet coffee is also super strong and yummy. Definitely recommend if you are a matcha lover! Lots of great seating for studying or chatting with friends! read more

Great place to hang out and chat with friends. The baristas here are extremely friendly and take the time to explain the drinks, which we really appreciated. We had a great time--the vibe is cozy and relaxed. The drinks themselves are good, though nothing particularly standout, maybe just because there are so many matcha spots in the Seattle area now. Overall, solid drinks and a really nice atmosphere. read more
