I like this store! The coffee is excellent, carefully poured and presented. Coffeemind offers a rare, artisan small-batch roast that yields delightfully nutty and savory flavors with berry and anise notes. Retail offerings include local arts and interesting imports, jewelry, interior decor items and textiles, and whole beans by the pound. The missing star is for distracted service and uninteresting, phoned-in food offerings. The former is understandable; the store is often run by only one person, who is responsible for every aspect of operation including food prep and dishwashing while trying to help customers. Sign of the times: I get it. Small businesses have to keep expenses low. The food offerings are familiar and not very interesting. I sampled a scone; it was sconey. There were cookies and some sort of pastry that looked past it's prime. Some work could be done here in terms of presentation and selection, especially if you put a good day-old and/or charity donation program in place to offset the costs of potential wasted product. Still, this is a beautiful example of a great Seattle-style neighborhood cafe; clean, welcoming and offering unique and delicious coffee and fun retail shopping experiences. Recommended! read more

A new addition to our Neighborhood. They have put a good amount of money in this place. A very warm and friendly Turkish family runs this place. Service is great. Baked goods are surprisingly good. I've sampled a few of them and so far, everything tastes fresh and homemade. They make all baked goods at the store everyday. Also, selling granola and breakfast grab-n-go items. This is a very pretty and sophisticated cafe run by savvy Turkish proprietors. I had a cup of "Az" Turkish coffee and a grilled simit with tomatoes, cheese, and olive paste for breakfast. I loved it, and plan to come back and try the Turkish tea and all the other specialties. West Queen Anne residents who work downtown might plan to take the #1 bus instead of the D and make it a great way to start their day. (WiFi game so strong.) Owned by the sweetest people ever! The environment and inside is so cute and cozy. Definitely a spot to go to if you need to get some work done. Also their scones are to die for. Great little coffee shop that's bright and the owners are the kindest people. If you're lucky to get there when they have freshly made Borek (I am 90% sure this is what it's called), you won't be disappointed. SO DELICIOUS!! I have discovered that I like the latte's better than their drip or americano's. There can be a slight sour or bitter taste but I believe that is how it is meant to be. Overall, super cute store with too many cute little trinkets I want to take home and add to my collection at home and the people are incredibly nice there. read more

Really cute shop with the nicest, friendliest staff around. It's a great and convenient spot for (Turkish!) coffee or tea in this neighborhood and they've got a little bit of space where you can do some work or reading. I can't speak to much about the coffee as I'm more of a tea person and coffee all tastes the same to me... but they've got lots of yummy sweet and savory snacks! I think their drinks tend to be on the sweeter side so I'd suggest asking for less sweetener/syrup if that's not your thing. read more

They are undisciplined, frequently bark and - wait for it - the other day a large canine slurped his long tongue over my coffee cup. Owner reaction: radio silence. This was not a service animal. It is against city ordinances for dogs (other than licensed service animals) to be in establishments such as coffee shops, restaurants and bars and many other locales. Please obey the rules. Their Turkish walnut cookies, with a sprinkling of powdered sugar on top, are delicate and not too sweet. They also have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in Seattle. The baristas actually listen to what you order, and take the time to make the espresso in a careful and authentic way, with a layer of "crema" on top. Very professional and nearly unheard of in many coffeeshops. I live right around the corner from this new treasure in the neighborhood and cannot stop bringing new people here just to have them enjoy it as well. The owners and baristas are always friendly and hospitable and know how to make business a genuinely pleasant, personal and inspiring exchange. In addition to the coffee and food items, Coffeemind features an irresistible display of extremely high quality Turkish gift items for sale (textiles, ceramics, and jewelry) which adds an additional artistic touch to the experience. As the Coffeemind business card says: "Eat. Drink. Shop". Very unique. I will be meeting more friends there next week and encourage everyone reading this to do the same. This is a great place to have Turkish coffee, which comes on a silver tray with water and a Turkish delight, just like in Turkey. The coffee was pretty good, We also ordered the Borek and the Pogaca with feta cheese, they were fresh & delicious. The owner of the place served us, she is very nice and lovely. The Peshtemal Turkish towels and bathrobe are wonderfully suited for the damp Seattle climate. In addition to having unique dyes, patterns, and finishes, they have a weave that is absorbent yet thin enough to dry without the risk of mold. Charming Mr. Stu up-sold jewelry that wasn't in the budget but doesn't cause buyer's remorse (shiny and tasteful are necessary!). The new merchandise that will be available later this month, are cherries on top. We may "need" the new stock or use it feel superior about making all the right choices on the fly. read more
