This place's wait time is a little too crazy.. came on friday around 2 pm, had to wait almost 45 mins to get one scoop. Lol was it worth it? Maybe.. maybe not. But I would definitely come back if there is no wait though. :) I liked their marionberry and lemon curd! It's right in seattle downtown, parking is going to be very limited. Ready to walk.

My friend has been seeing this place a lot on Instagram so we decided to stop by on our tour around Seattle over the weekend. Be prepared for a long line no matter what time of day. This place is super popular, but the line moves quickly. They have QR codes available whilst waiting in line so you can try to decide your flavor ahead of time. What's great is that you can also ask for samples when you reach the counter. I know frozen Greek yohgurt is all the rage right now and Hellenika doesn't disappoint. I got the Ube Coconut flavor and it was incredible. I definitely didn't taste the coconut as much as I would have hoped, but it was such a fun flavor with which to experiment. The frozen yoghurt was not as tart as I would have expected but there is a slight aftertaste in case you don't enjoy that aspect of eating yoghurt. They had some other unique flavors such as Tim Tam, Seattle Fog, Lemon Curd, etc which paid homage to their Australian-Greek heritage while also honoring Seattle. I cannot recommend coming here (especially with friends to have company in line and then people to share different flavors with). It is worth the wait in line especially during a Seattle summer.

On a visit to pikes place we noticed a line going into Hellenika's and knew we had to go! So the next early afternoon we went in(beating the rush). The shop itself had a clean airy feel. We were allowed to try a few samples and settled on the Ube coconut. It was so good, it's made with a plain Greek yogurt base then mixed with purple yam and coconut. I'll be dreaming about this flavor until the next time I return!

A cult favorite at Pike Place! Hellenika Cultured Creamery speacializes in cultured gelato. There's usually quite the line out the door, but it moves decently fast. They have seasonal flavors, so depending on when you go, you might encounter new creations! On our visit, we tried the Marionberry flavor! Super refreshing and tart! The texture is really smooth and a bit softer than your usual gealto. A nice and cool sweet treat during the hot summer months.

Stopped by after seeing all the hype while exploring Pike Place Market. There was a steady line, so I had pretty high expectations. The frozen Greek yogurt was good, but it didn't quite live up to the buzz for me. The texture was creamy but the tartness of yogurt overpowers the actual flavors of the ice cream, but overall it felt more like a solid dessert than a must-visit destination. That said, the location is great if you're already walking around Pike Place and looking for something refreshing. Just be prepared for a line, especially during peak tourist hours. Overall, I'm glad I tried it once, but with so many great dessert options in the area, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

This place is such a great place inside Seattle's pike place market. This family run Gelato shop is owned by an Australian family. One of the coolest things about the experience is watching the Gelato being stirred and mixed right at the store. It adds and interactive part for when you visit. The staff is generous with samples. You can try as many flavors as you would like before deciding. Another big plus is that most of their flavors are gluten free. The Gelato itself is creamy and flavorful. If you're in the area try it out. Better to check it out on a weekday.

First time checking out Hellenika and I can say it's worth the line/hype. So glad they let you try all the flavors but sad we weren't able to try lemon curd and ube/coconut since they were churning. I ended up getting the Vanilla and Mango. My husband got the Seattle Fog and Honey Macadamia Nut. The texture is so creamy and depending on the flavor you might get some little bits too.

Slowed Churned "Cultured Gelato." Honest all the flavors we tried were yummy. My favorite was probably marionberry. They frequently change out their menu. Got there about 10-15 minutes before they opened on a Saturday morning and we were the second group of people in line.

I set out to find Ellenos yogurt, but somehow ended up discovering Hellenika instead. Honestly, it turned out to be a pretty happy accident. While wandering through Pike Place, several vendors told me the Ube Coconut flavor was their favorite, so I took that as a sign and ordered it. I'm happy to report they were right. It was rich, creamy, and surprisingly refreshing at the same time. I went with the small size, which turned out to be perfect because it satisfied my sweet tooth without leaving me in a food coma. My husband chose the Calamansi flavor and really enjoyed it too. The bright citrus flavor paired with the floral tang made it taste different from a typical ice cream. There always seems to be a line, but it moves quickly thanks to the attentive staff, who do a great job keeping things running smoothly and making sure people aren't waiting too long. A part of me still misses the Ellenos stand I originally came for, but I'm glad I found Hellenika. Sometimes the best Pike Place discoveries are the ones you weren't looking for. If you're visiting the market and want a cool treat, I'd definitely recommend giving Hellenika a try.

The lines for this place are always insane; I usually just skip it but finally bit the bullet. Honestly, I do think the quality of the gelato lives up to the hype. The 45min wait can be unbearable though for a scoop of dessert, so I'm not sure if I'd necessarily come back. There are tons of gelato flavors to choose from -- I think I counted 16 at least. They did offer samples, so we between the two of us, we were able to try almost all the flavors on the menu. Super creamy gelato texture; no ice crystals at all. The cultures also gave everything a nice tang to balance out the richness and sweetness of the gelato. All the flavors were really good, and I don't think you can go wrong. We went with the blueberry. It was reassuring to know they used actual fruit in their gelato, since we were able to find some blueberry skins and seeds in our scoop!

Do yourself a favor and come here before you get any other ice cream. This place was bomb! They make the cream in fresh batches that day likely only a few minutes before you eat it. My kid and I tried a few flavors and came back for more during our week stay! We would have taken it home if we could have. We went on a food tour and they stopped here so we got to learn even more about the place and why their cream is so good! Anyhoo, just go try it!

Ellenos is easily one of my favorite dessert spots in Seattle! Their Greek yogurt is unbelievably creamy and smooth--almost like gelato--but with the refreshing tanginess that makes it feel lighter. We sampled several flavors and ended up ordering Seattle Fog, Ube Coconut, Lemon Poppy Seed, and Matcha. Every flavor was distinct and delicious. * Seattle Fog was my favorite--smooth, aromatic, and subtly infused with Earl Grey tea, making it unique without being overly sweet. * Ube Coconut had a beautiful natural purple color and a creamy tropical flavor that wasn't overpowering. * Lemon Poppy Seed was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of citrus. * Matcha had a rich, earthy flavor that wasn't bitter and paired beautifully with the tangy yogurt base.

Another hyped place I saw all over social media. It was a must stop during our short trip up to Seattle. Walked up a little later afternoon & there was a short line. It moved pretty quick though, we waited maybe 10-15 minutes. I really wanted the calamansi curd, but it was still churning. Decided to sample the london fog & was surprised to find that it had slight hint of citrus in it. I was sold. Boyfriend got the marionberry & ube coconut. It was so cool to see the gelato basically being made in front of you. There were a other flavors that were still churning. Its wasn't just like another tub being brought out from the freezer. The creaminess was just wow! So smooth. Worth the hype, worth the wait. Kinda regret not going everyday we were there.

About a minute after getting my drink, I took a sip and was surprised that it was cold--not even lukewarm, but actually cold. I didn't go back to ask for a remake because there were several people in line behind me and I didn't want to wait. Instead, I ended up microwaving it when I got back to my Airbnb. The latte itself was decent and had a strong espresso flavor, but the mocha syrup was way too sweet for my taste. I think it would have been much better if it had been about half as sweet. The price was also pretty high for a 12 oz latte. The customer service was disappointing. The young woman who helped me came across as rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. That's especially unfortunate for a business located in the middle of a major tourist area. As for the drink, I'm not sure how a hot latte ends up being served cold, but it definitely shouldn't happen. I also sampled the tiramisu gelato, which was overly sweet and didn't taste very authentic. Overall, I regret spending the time, money, and calories here. There are too many great coffee shops in Seattle to settle for an experience like this.

I am sure on summer evenings this place is insanely busy, but on a Monday at approximately 2PM, I didn't wait in a line at all. They had fun summer flavors such as apricot crisp, blueberry cheesecake, cherry chunk, and strawberry sorbet. I tried two different flavors, and both were delicious. Both flavors were extremely creamy, even the fruity flavored ones. I started with the strawberry sorbet. It was refreshing. The strawberry really shined through and was extremely fresh tasting. I feel like strawberry flavoring can sometimes come off as artificial, but I did not have that experience with this ice cream. The second flavor I sample, and my favorite one of the day was the honey lavender. It felt like you were walking through an organic lavender field. As always, cities have expensive ice cream, but I am just a girl, so I will get a sweet treat.
