I like an especially bold cup of coffee, and the person who took our order was knowledgeable in helping me narrow down what I should get, and offered a sample of a couple of their coffees so I could pick what I wanted. I got my cup in a real mug which always ups the coffee drinking experience, so glad they had those available for folks drinking-in. It's a comfortable, well-designed space that was busy enough to feel like it was a fun place to be, but not so crowded that we couldn't easily find a table. It's a chain, but a local chain with a handful of locations around town. Loved my coffee and the experience.

Mike and Matthew (when he is there) really work hard on getting to know everyone and makes it a point to remember what you do, like, your interests or asks about your weekend. Ask yourself, when was the last time you experienced that? I usually go for their dark roast. Recently, I tried the pour over (it takes more time to make) and the flavor and quality is much better if you have the time. Today, I wanted to try the Booster Bites,on-the-go energy in bite sized portions made with nuts, seeds and dried fruit. They are supporting this brand by selling this from their cart. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. They took over the public cafe space at the Dubbel Dutch Hotel and partnered with Matilda, a local women owned and operated bakery that I like a lot! The latte was very smooth and rich. Personally I preferred stronger espresso, but I still enjoyed my cup here. The cold brew got a unique herbal and earthy taste and naturally sweet long lasting aftertaste - I thought some people would like the herbal part while others would avoid it. There's also a nice line of coffee beans from different countries and at different roast levels for purchase. The pastries were very good. Nice pairing with the coffee.
