Coindexter's is my favorite of the local arcade/pinball bars. The space is just perfect - it's large enough that you can play games without bumping into other people. The back room with pinball machines is set up with ample space to play and watch your friends OR just enjoy a drink out of the way of people playing. Their bar tenders are great. I have always been greeted with kindness and received wonderful service. The drinks are affordable and FRESH. Every time I have ordered a greyhound, they use a fresh grapefruit, pressing it behind the bar! This isn't exactly what I would call a dive bar; it's more of a grownup arcade. It is much cleaner than the average dive. read more

Coindexter's is such a fun spot for a Saturday night outting. They have so many drink options and the food options are pretty good too. I had one of the burgers and it was pretty tasty. My favorite was the tots though. Make sure to bring some coins with you, but if not - don't fret, they have an atm and a coin machine inside too. The arcade is so fun. I love Coindexter's. I've lived and worked in the neighborhood since before it opened and have been many times. Very 90's vibes throughout. I actually have a jar of quarters I save specifically for whenever I'm gonna come here. Overall the place isn't too big so on the weekends it can get a bit crowded but on a weekday it's much more chill. They have a great selection of drinks and for it being a bar, I actually do enjoy their food! My only gripe is that most of the time I end up going, they are usually out of the Cap'n Crunchberry treats or just don't have them. But that's just me having a sweet tooth and getting excited when I see it on the menu. Haha read more

Such a fun barcade stuck in the '90's! I came here for my friend's birthday party, as this is a place he frequents and loves, and after visiting, I can see why! There's a bouncer who checks IDs soon after you walk in, since Coindexter's only allows those 21+, indicating a play place just for adults. Yes! Plenty of seating is located off to the side, across the bar where you order drinks and food and for food, it's delivered to your table once it's ready. Oh, and although the menu is straightforward, with grilled cheese sandwiches, there are TOTS! But the real winner here are the games! There are classic games, like Pac-Man and Mario Kart and pinball machines in the back room. Most of the games I saw were a quarter to play a round, and they do have a coin machine, just in case! AND, since we're drinking while playing games, there are cupholders at the games, that so comfortably accommodates your pint of draft beer. Yeah, dawg, they thought of everything! For a break from all the games though, you can watch the old school shows they play in the background and during my visit it was MTV's Daria! Freakin' awesome! Staff is super friendly and people are chill here. It wasn't too packed on a Saturday night and we never had to wait to play certain games and such. When I went to the restroom I saw a sign, lending help for those on a bad Tinder date, with instructions to order a certain drink, which indicates to staff whether you need them to walk you to your car, call the police, etc... Seriously, this place thought of everything. Wow this is a great place and the crowds have yet to find it. 12 drafts on tap and tasty grill cheese. The place has a lot of space for you and your friends. You have Rocco's Modern Life, Dinosaurs and more classic on TVs throughout the bar. Great arcade, skeeball, pool and pinball games to choose from. I'm more of a quiet bar gal, but if I'm going to spend my time drinking in a loud environment, it's probably going to be Coindexter's. It's a fun bar to rendezvous for a birthday party which is what I usually end up here for. Good 90's tunes, excellent selection of games from SkeeBall to Pinball (and also arcade games that don't involve balls), plus they have reasonably priced food ($5.50 grilled cheese, $8.50 nacho fries). Their house cocktails are not my bag. Make it So (Earl Grey tea infused whiskey, lemon, cinnamon, bitters) is reminiscent of a boozy breakfast cereal (maybe that was the point?). The Dark & Stormy (Whaler's dark rum, lime, ginger beer) wasn't very balanced. Maybe it was the bartender, but I'll stick to sure things like a beer and a whiskey going forward. I'm sure I'll be back once I replenish my quarters. As far as I know it's the closest place to me that has Bust-A-Move. read more

Got unlucky the last visit with one of the owner/managers working the bar (but mostly sitting AT the bar). He's the same one who was rude to another woman, earlier review; JFC he was so RUDE to me. After the recommendation from a coworker, and the fact that they had super shots, convinced me to visit this place. I like the arcade vibe! Though most of the games they had were pinballs, the rest was great as well like Ms. PacMan, beer pong and Mario Kart. The food was also good, I happened to forget the name of the fries with Chicken Teriyaki, but I thought it was a touch too salty. But the jalapeño poppers are really good considering I dislike jalapeños. It's a nice fun spot to hang with friends on a weekend if you're looking for an alternative to the club scene! read more

FINALLY. I am so glad a place like this is in my neighborhood! There are plenty of machines, from pinball to skeeball to 4-player Pac-Man, and I've seen a few more arrive since my first couple of visits, so you can tell they're expanding. There is plenty of open space to house more games (definitely not as cramped as some of the older arcade bars around town), and the arrangement of the games leaves plenty of room for walking around. The menu is super interesting and decently priced. The food combinations are creative and tasty, and the cocktails have very interesting ingredients. Any place with grilled cheese and corn dogs is going to be a favorite of mine. Sometimes the combinations seems a little far-fetched, but I won't knock it 'til I try it. The only problem I have with this place is that the service can be a little lacking. It could still be the fact that it's a new bar and there's a lot for everyone to learn, but I've been there on four different occasions at pretty varying days and times, and every time it can take quite a long time for you to get a drink or even get the bartender's attention. Sometimes they walk past without acknowledging you, even if you lock eyes and they know you're right there. It's a busy place, I know, but just a quick "I'll be right there" or "thanks for waiting" would go a long way... read more

Extremely willing to go out of his way to make our company party amazing. The area 51 wings were perfectly spicy, and the grilled cheese options were a great topper. I absolutely love this bar. The drinks are creative. The games are awesome. I found games here that I've never seen before and I'm a regular at arcades. I do have to say that I challenged a few people on the games and I won all but the basketball challenge. This is a great place for a first date as long as you are ok with seeing your date's competitive side! read more

I would also like to see a bigger selection of spirit choices, but they do fine with beer. The food menu is fun for the place. The tots were a bit underdone and oily though; I am not sure the fryer was hot enough. I do like the space and the idea. It is definitely a place I would come with friends and hang out. What a unique place. They are only two weeks old, already a hopping, happening place. I love the concept. They have an array of video and other games, awesome. Their food menu is also creative and fun, 8 or more different kinds if grilled cheese sandwiches, 3 different wing selections, and more...plus, they have TATER TOTS!! Unfortunately their service still has some work to be done. With one cash register in a busy bar, there was long Waits and it was very difficult to get hold of the bartender's attention. When they get the service right, this will quickly jump to a 5 out of 5. Also, parking is a challenge in this neighborhood, but that is not their fault by any means, just s statement of fact. read more

I love barcades! Great nostalgia for those of us who played coin-op games in our youth. Ice cold beer is where it's at and I'm not talking about the drinks! Love the menus made from comic books and old plastic VHS tape cases! The cheesy 80s and early 90s flicks playing on the big screen add to the vibe too.
