I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday online. I went in to pick up the cake, the girl (whose name is SAVANNAH) was standing there..when I told her that I was there to pick up a cake, she rudely told me "I'm helping someone" the people where on the other side of the counter...I waited, and was in a hurry...I waited about 3 min, and the people still hadn't showed up to the cash register, so i decided to ask her if the cake was in the freezer so I can grab it quickly, and she told me very rudely "No I have it in the back, but i told you i'm waiting on someone". She finally finishes with those customers, she asks me my name in which I had to repeat it 3 times, even though she heard me...Them she brings my cake and slams it and just walks away...I was so upset I just asked the other girl what her name was...When I get home the whole writing was smashed in...I can not believe what a terrible experience I had...I am filing a corporate complaint. I only do one star because the ice cream is good. I went in there tonight to get a brownie and a love it size ice cream. There were three girls and two of them had the most disgusting attitudes. They were rude to the lady in front of us and continued with the sour mood throughout my order. They did my brownie wrong because of miscommunication on her part and then just gave it to me anyways. So from time to time, I come here and enjoy myself with a nice cold ice cream. It is an excellent place for summer when the weather in Bakersfield gets to be more than feeling like you are waiting in Hell's appointment room to get in while having torches lit under you. The employees here are nice and pretty helpful for tips and recommendations to try out new and interesting creations. They always have a smile and are polite even to the most obnoxious customers. The Ice cream itself is delicious and almost addictive not to come back to or get the "Got to have it" size. All in all, it's a great place here and I will be going back soon. read more

Tonight we decided to grab some ice cream after painting at color me mine. The girl who helped us with our ice cream was sweet and made our ice cream quickly. I paid with my card and did not leave a tip with the card because I usually like my 5 year old son to get in on giving whenever there is a chance. I had some cash so I grabbed the tip jar and brought it down to his level so he would be able to place the money in (which he did). When I placed the tip jar back in its place another ice cream maker named Taylor gave me an extremely odd look and proceeded to say "did you take something from there?" I was in total disbelief. The most disgusting, unsanitary ice cream place I've ever been to. My parents had never been here before (shocking) so I decided to take them. We went on a Sunday evening around 8:45. The line was pretty long, & there were two high school aged girls & a heavy weight older woman working behind the counter. All 3 of them acted as if they could care less about working at all. No greeting. No thank you. No smiles. Just eye rolls, sighs, attitudes & zero F's given. The worst customer service I've ever seen. My dad just wanted a plain like it size in a cone. The gal said there were no plain sugar cones. He then said he wanted a waffle cone, she said there were no waffle cones. She said he had to get it in a cup. What the F kind of ice cream joint runs out of ice cream cones!?! My guess is this lazy broad was just too lazy to go to the back to get a new box out, considering the line was massive. Not to mention her nasty acrylic nails while scooping & then rubbing her nose, then handling the register & then going back to scoop more. Like, are you serious, Cold Stone? That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I've worked in the food industry before & though it isn't mandatory to wear gloves, it is definitely mandatory to wash your hands before going back to handle the food after you've been on the register. My mom even said, "aren't you going to wash your hands or wear gloves?" The girl replied with, "no we are always so busy that we don't need to." My mom said, "but you're handling money.." the girl then said, "yeah that's true." Seriously a joke. I'm a fan of cold stone creamery. We had a date night yesterday evening 12/10 and decided to stop by. While ordering I asked for a rocky road mixed with a little bit of coffee ice cream. The young lady seemed a bit confused and rather annoyed with my order because she had to go to the back room for chocolate. She started mixing rocky road and a coffee lovers mix, when I explained my order again her expression and reactions showed her annoyance and irritation with me for simply asking for coffee ice creme, not the coffee lovers delight?, mixed with my order. She starts slamming the instrument down to scrap off the creme while pressed her lips together and avoiding eye contact with us. She was not trying to hide her emotions and made the experience really uncomfortable. After correcting my order by slamming around instruments and sloping the ice creme around she became further annoyed when we decided to not order anything else so we can leave. She then asked another young lady to ring us out while she walked in the back with a small smerk and red cheeks, way more uncomfortable. We were trying to make light of the situation but it was a rather immature reaction for a small miscommunication. I have worked retail as a teen. I know Saturday's you want to be else where but that was a very poor representation of the company and herself.
