    Confetti cupcake
    Dani W.

I'm surprised to see this place have such a low rating but maybe I came here on a good night. They were very busy tonight, but I was still promptly greeted and got my ice cream right away. The menu is pretty straight forward, but there are so many options it can be hard to pick. My daughter just wanted the featured ice cream (confetti cupcake or something to that tune) so I was able to order quickly and pay. I ended up picking up a pack of the ice cream cupcakes they have in the freezer next to their cakes. I still think I prefer a Dairy Queen cake because that crunch layer is what my dreams are made of. But the cupcakes are still really good. Hard chocolate shell, soft cake, ice cream, a light whipped buttercream, and an Oreo on top. It'll take some will power to not finish them all myself. All in all, the ice cream was very good and none of the employees said anything rude so really it was a positive experience.

I came to cold stone after work to pick up a small ice cream cake. The store was empty with two staffs standing around. No one said hello to me or asked me what I wanted or if I needed help. I picked up the cake and asked if they can write happy birthday on it. One of the staff said he didn't know how to. And since I was press for time, I just said fine and paid for the cake and left. I just ended up going to the dollar store and got candle and a sign to put on the cake that said happy birthday. The cakes are a little expensive but they are good. The service on the other hand, not so much.

Cold stone has always been one of my favorite ice cream places. I've never been a big fan of plain, boring ice cream, so I love how thick and rich their ice cream is! The birthday cake remix is my go-to order almost every time I come to Cold Stone Creamery. I had a good experience at this particular location. The staff were friendly, and mixed my ice cream well. I've been to Cold Stone locations that don't quite get it right, but that was luckily not the case here!

Cold Stone is a place I grew up going to & this was my first time back to one in probably over 5 years. I ordered the Cake Batter mixed with Reeses Cups & it was delicious! Really sweet though so I wouldn't get too much of it. The regular size cost me $4.99. The ice cream is also really soft so they can mix it with the candy so be careful on a hot day because it will melt extra quickly.

This is probably the worst Cold Stone that I've ever been. The guy took like forever to prepare our choices, the line was huge because he was slow and he put like half of the cup full of ice cream! The ice cream was hard and not soft as on other cold stone stores. I'll never come back here!

However my overall experience was disappointing. The staff were not friendly and seemed annoyed when they had to find my cupcake order. After they found my order, they seemed annoyed that I wanted to order a drink. I ordered a matcha latte and it was just okay, but pretty pricey. The cupcakes themselves were severely disappointing. They were extremely tiny for the price. The cake was very dense and off putting. The frosting was also dense. I'm an extreme chocolate lover and did not enjoy the chocolate cupcakes and frosting at all. Everything just tasted very heavy. Their vanilla cake flavor and batter was better. It was slightly less dense and more palatable, but for the price I will not be ordering it again. Due to lack of service and food/drink quality and taste I will not be coming here again. There's better options in Columbus for this price point.

My standard for cupcakes are different than the general masses as I feel like the ENTIRE cupcake should be a complete entity taste wise and one component shouldn't outshine the other. We were gifted tickets for the German Village picnic Giftory experience which gave us two macarons of our choosing and two vanilla shortbread cookies for free. We chose the raspberry chambord and pistachio macarons while also ordering two pistachio cloud matchas. All of the desserts were excellent. The raspberry macaron was very fruit forward while the pistachio was more subdued, but still had a spot on flavor. Even with sugar coating the shortbread cookies, the touch of vanilla made them taste light. I could easily see myself eating far too many of those. The star of the show was the matcha. 10/10! I've never had a pistachio flavored drink, so I was a little hesitant, but wow, I'm glad I ordered it! The matcha base wasn't overly sweet nor was the pistachio foam overly salty. Perfect mix of sweet and savory. Even thought the line was out the door, it moved at a decent pace and our drinks didn't take too long to receive. I'd like to try the strawberry matcha next time, but I'm not sure if I can pass up the pistachio Highly recommend!

The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. Overall, I think there are a lot of other good coffee shops in Columbus that I don't see myself going out of my way to come back.

When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.
