The place is super cute and welcoming. The service was fast and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They have a parking lot in the back of the store which is a great bonus! I got strawberry matcha cake, which was moist, decadent and delicious! The matcha flavor was strong (in a good way), which gave the cake a nice balance. Before even entering the store, I already loving their cute little patio seating area with the mint green chair and the pink umbrella. The same color scheme filled throughout their shop as well. They also have caseful of adorable merchandise alongside of the front counter. They offer a wide range of vegan and organic sweets. Everything is display nicely at their front counter. I got a couple thing to try and I love their cut-out sugar cookie. It is soft and moist and slightly sweet from the vanilla icing. I ordered my birthday cake from here, and was a bit worried since I heard they are vegan baked goods. BUT OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING! Better than most cakes I've had around here. I ordered their cookies & cream frosting with chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was moist, and had the perfect semi-sweet chocolate taste. The frosting complimented the cake well, because though it was very sweet when paired with the cake that was not it tasted balanced. I can't speak much about the ambiance, since I had my s/o pick up the cake for me. But as far as service goes, at least over the phone they seemed very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions. Pattycake bakery is the cutest shop! It's a great place to find vegan and gluten-free treats! And they taste delicious. Some of my favorites are the lemon cupcakes, almond raspberry cake, and cookie bars. We picked up a random assortment this past weekend and brought to a friend's house and it was all a huge hit! They have moved down the street in the past year or so but are still in Clintonville. The parking situation is much improved and there is more space inside. Last week was the grand reopening of Pattycake Bakery at their new spot. Parking is available in the back for about 10 cars and one spot is marked for handicapped parking. There was quite a bit of turnover in the lot while I was there (10 minutes or so) but if there are quite a few SUVs it might be kinda tight. As a special treat, they made their famous sticky buns every morning until sold out. I arrived in the afternoon before they closed and while the library was still open so I could get some baked goodies and then go across the street to pickup my reserves. Masks are required and it's prominently displayed at both entrances. I brought home a chocolate whoopie pie, a tollhouse cookie, a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, and a carrot cake cupcake. Yum! She got a 6" vanilla bean cake with whipped raspberry icing, and while I found $45 to be a little pricy for a small cake, we all agreed it was worth it when we tasted it! Gluten Free cherry cake so awful. Yes, gluten free cakes are inherently more dense than traditional cakes, but we probably could have put a weight on it and it wouldn't have moved. Fluffy and soft are nowhere to be found. This was also the driest cake I have ever had. The cake crumbled apart like bread crumbs. The icing was supposed to be cream cheese but just tasted like sugar and was hard and stale. Will not be trying anything else from here. read more

Can't believe I've never reviewed Pattycake! I've been a fan for years. Everything they offer is delicious and beautiful, with large portion sizes. It's a great place to go for those with dietary restrictions so they can still feel special on special days! Everything is vegan and they also have a large selection of GF items. I love their new space and they're always putting out cute seasonal items for holidays and zodiac signs. To top it off, they always package everything in the cutest pink boxes. Some of my favorites: chocolate chip cookies, snicker-doodles, the lemon cupcake, gf ginger spice cookies, Buckeye bars, and Whoopie pies. On Saturday mornings they have different flavors of sticky buns that are absolutely huge and to die for. Sometimes you can get discounted ones on Sundays. Grabbing one or two and taking a walk through the Park of Roses next door is a great way to spend a morning. read more

The new location is wonderful. It feels very welcoming, both inside and out. There's a great patio area outside with chairs and tables. The inside section where you order isn't huge as far as forming a line goes, but it it set up really nicely with gear on view to the left, the bakery case full of goodies in front, and a refrigerated case to the right. They offer a nice variety of goodies, including cookies, whoopie pies, cupcakes, bars and brownies, muffins, and more! Everything looked delicious, and it was hard to decide, but I finally settled on a chocolate chip cookie, a snickerdoodle, and a peppermint whoopie pie. The cookies in particular are quite generously sized. Everything was tasty, and I already have an idea of what else we'd like to try in the future! read more

For uhhh *clears throat* quality control purposes I had to go 3 times to get an accurate review. The verdict is DAMN THESE COOKIES ARE FIRE. Each time I've gone the customer service has been swift and kind + last time I was in they had a person who "could not wear a mask" stand outside to order which I appreciated greatly. The Tollhouse is truly undefeated. I do wish there were peanutbutter in the base of the peanut butter chip base but that's not a complaint just a wish down the line. We wanted a small cake for our wedding, and looked at several different bakeries. I've always loved Pattycake's baked goods (which are entirely vegan, though you'd never guess if you didn't know). I had a vision for what I wanted the cake to look like, and sent a lot of inspiration images and questions to Liz, the wedding coordinator. She was quick to reply and happily answered all my questions and requests, providing suggestions as needed and clarifying what I wanted. We picked up the cake the morning of the wedding to transport it ourselves to the venue (delivery can be arranged for an additional cost). It was securely packaged and survived the 30 minute drive down country roads! There were thorough storage and unboxing instructions which were easy to follow. The cake was beautiful, not to mention tasty!! For reference, we had a 4"/6" tiered cake, which is 12 generous servings!
