I appreciate that this place is still open however I wasnt satisfied with the customer service. I went in on a saturday late afternoon and some lady wasnt in the uniform. Im assuming its the owner. My friend and I ordered our ice creams and it took her a while to make them. She had to look at the menu because she didnt know what goes into the ice creams we ordered. I also wanted to sample a new flavor and she said they dont do that anymore. I dont understand why they dont do that anymore if its for health reasons. The sample spoon always gets thrown away after. If this location wants to be health cautious i think they should wear gloves while making the ice cream and not cross contaminate the tongs they use for the different toppings. read more

For our anniversary we decided to stop into the Folsom location. Years ago we loved Cold Stone and this one is the only one left locally. Now I see why. The place was filthy. There was a line out the door and the employees cared more about talking with each other than helping customers. One girl kept running back and forth to talk with her friends. Another girl was dancing with her back to the customers and the young man got irritated when we had to explain how he was making the shake with the wrong ingredients, wrong size, and completely disregarded the add-in. The young girl that was talking with her friends then doubles the shake size and gives them her employee discount, no wonder these places have gone out of business. The employees could have cared less about all the people waiting. 30+ min later, Our shakes were terrible, the whipped cream was warm which makes sense since it was just sitting in a bag in the counter. I walked into this place and had the worst service I've ever received in any establishment in my life. I walked in and wasn't wearing a mask (I forgot it ). The kind gentlemen that was working behind the counter was helping someone already in there , About ten minutes later some little girl comes out and promptly asks if I have one , I said " oh no I'm sorry I don't do you have one I could wear" to which I got a nasty reply " no , I don't have one for you you have to go outside and your friend can take your order". I understood why but the attitude was unnecessary. But the story gets worse... I go outside to grab my mask and come back in. This lady blatantly ignores me and asks the person behind me what she can get them! Because I'm invisible all of a sudden ?!?!? Then I go to the register to pay for the ice cream my friend had got and she ignores me again! She tells the gentleman that she can ring him up. At this point I got loud and said " can I pay for what we ordered ?!?" To which the reply was " oh your not getting anything for yourself ?" I said " apparently not and stormed out. Husband and I ordered same size yet one was a quarter bigger than the other. Forgot pie crust so just sprinkled on top. Didn't mix together correctly. Just bad. At the Palladio attending the Spring Fling and having a blast making bunny masks, dressing cupcakes and meeting the Easter Bunny, Mother Nature decided to drop a bunch of rain on us and ice cream seemed like the right call. It has been years since I have visited a Cold Stone and happy to report they are still nice and dependable. My go to is the "Founder's Favorite" (sweet cream ice cream, brownies, pecans, caramel and fudge). The brownie was excellent and kept its consistency even after being enveloped in the sweet cream ice cream. The pecans bring a nice crunch and contrast. The fudge and caramel were nice but there just wasn't enough. Imagine that a fat man wanting more fudge and caramel. Anyways, glad to see they are still serving up tasty treats. read more

Cold Stone is good, but in hindsight, it SOUNDS like a better idea than it really is. I tend to order the smallest size and always end up with a stomach ache. Anyway, this location gets pretty busy, expect a wait. Utilize the ice cream samples, but don't get crazy. ;) I'm surprised to read a lot of Yelpers stating the establishment doesn't honor the check-in promo. Horrible! My husband ordered vanilla ice cream with marshmallows. The marshmallows were completely stale and frozen. Instead of making my husband a new one, she just put the marshmallows on top of the one he has. So he still has to spit out the bad once each time he eats it. STAY AWAY A young girl here made two different orders, a banana crunch, which was supposed to be, French vanilla, almonds, banana, and we asked for brownies to be added. What he really should be doing is making and mixing the cakes! Nothing is worse than having an ice cream cake with mix ins and only having 1 chocolate chip in your whole piece of corner cake. This store has incredible customer service. Alisha is so considerate in the way she will put your order together exactly like you want it. She is unbelievably good at cake decorating also. She is a really creative artist on cake decorating. They have a huge amount of different flavors, but I especially appreciate it that they include a low sugar flavor like skinny vanilla for those on a diet. Great ice cream! I love cold stone ice cream and have loved it ever sense I was a little girl. This one was good and was in a central location that I liked. It was good ice cream yet the lady however did not inform me of the prices. She asked me if I wanted any toppings in the ice cream and I told her, "Yes please, sprinkles." she did not inform me that only one topping was free and that I had to pay for the next one. Not knowing that fact I then told her I wanted some gummy worms and after the fact that they were in the ice cream she then told me I had to pay for them. This made me a little mad because they were already in the ice cream so I couldn't just take it our of the ice cream and get the money back. Even though CS has closed many of there locations, it's nice to have one around. The only drawback is they don't have an extensive menu like they did before. They only have a handful of creations.
