Stood at the counter for several minutes while I watched an employee standing in the back on her phone. A second employee came in, noticed me, and waited on me. I asked for a scoop of chocolate with bananas and walnuts. He said they had no walnuts, even though there was a huge container sitting there, which I pointed out to him. He said that was just for display. I left. I got to keep the $7.00 I would have spent for the smallest size they offered. I probably won't be coming back as I realized I could have walked next door to the grocery store and bought a pint of Häagen-Dazs for cheaper. read more

Horrible. The Indian women working here do not enjoy their job, are not cheerful or friendly, and most importantly, do not have not enough training. I ordered a regular size with Oreo overload, which comes with 2 Oreo mix ins. The lady gave me 2 Oreo cookies, and I asked - that doesn't look like enough Oreos, are you sure there is just 1 Oreo per mixin? She said yes, and I can pay 75 cents for another Oreo. I declined, got my Oreo overload, which looked like plain vanilla with chocolate chips, with hardly any Oreos. All I tasted was chocolate chip, and apparently the 2 Oreos she put in, was just split into 4 pieces of half Oreo, so only 4 bites of my regular size order had any Oreos at all. Poorly mixed. So finally I looked it up - Oreo mix-in has 2 Oreos, not 1! Ugh, horrible. Not at all like my previous good experiences at other cold stone locations. read more

This Cold Stone location is just cheap all around. Their portion sizes are tiny, and they are stingy with the mix-ins. They used to have a rude scale right in front of you to weigh your ice cream to try to prove to you that it was big enough (which shows they must have had a lot of complaints about their ungenerous sizes). $6 for such a small amount of ice cream with an anemic portion of mix-ins is ridiculous. I recently paid $40 for a small cake (which again, is ridiculous for such a small cake). I asked to have a message written on the cake. The piping was SO BAD. SHOCKINGLY BAD. I've never seen anything like it from a store in the business of making cakes. I was getting the cake for a special occasion and spent a lot on it, and I was embarrassed to use it because the piping looks like a preschooler wrote it. So much for my $40. I would avoid this Cold Stone location. You never feel welcome here. read more

Rave to the young man behind the counter in a Utah sweatshirt and a Bass Pro Shops hat who managed a line out the door single-handedly. He stayed calm under pressure and did his best to help everyone and give great customer service. Rant to the 3 employees who stayed in the back room and didn't lift a finger. If all 3 of you were on break at the same time, you shouldn't have been, and at the very least one of you could have come out front and helped him. Instead you came out front, took a look around and then headed back. That young man deserves a raise. read more

Ice cream OK but nothing special. Their specialty is mixing all sorts of stuff in with the ice cream. I had their special chocolate mix and it was uninspiring. T thought the serving size was generous. I had the smallest and it was quite adequate. The biggest disappointment was the waffle cone, the only type they seemed to offer. The freshly made waffle cone seems dead everywhere so that did not surprise me but the limp excuse for a cone was unexepytable. Parking and service were good. read more

This is the most "Stingy" cold stone franchise ever. The only reason we come here is it is close to our place.. when I say stingy- I mean it on all levels : Tasting - the store feels that letting people taste is a crime.. asking for any different flavors is a sin Portions- please note that the whatever size you order - you will get a size lower.. if you order a kids scoop -- you are out of luck buddy -- it will be more like a taste scoop .. Specialities - the attraction of this chain is artesian ice cream. - no where near it if you are not able to mix the ice cream well enough Service -- even smiles are missing - the establishment sees kids more of a problem .. kids are expected to be disciplined and calm .. kids eating icecream and being calm don't go together .. We stopped in for a visit on the way home from Seattle and i got the cookie ice cream sandwich with the sweet cream filling. i had high hopes for this place since I've been to numerous ones on the east coast. We walked in and I'm assuming the owners are Asian, they did not greet us at all. It was very unusual for someone to run a business that is suppose to create a fun atmosphere. I would go here every day if I could. Sadly, I would get fat, so no thanks. Watch the calories in this ice cream: the smallest size can pack as much as 500 calories depending on the flavor. Their mixed flavors are fantastic (my favorite being Peanut Butter Cup Lovers). It's a cold stone and cold stone tastes the same throughout. The staff is nice. Their cakes are delicious. And the friend I was with had to do the same. We both threw out our ice cream before finishing it. This is not ice cream made for eating without loading it up with mix ins. I pre-ordered a cake for my daughters graduation from the Cold Stone Creamery in Issaquah and when I picked up the cake I was highly disappointed in the quality of the cake. It looked like it was thrown together very sloppy and the writing looked like a second grader did it. My guests at the party were very upset for us and believe your store should be very embarrassed letting that cake leave your store. You ruined my daughters graduation party. I will never order from your store again and I can tell you most of our guests are from the Issaquah area and will not order from your store either. read more

I love ice cream. I have never gone to a Cold Stone before (I know, very sad of me). I'm not sure how all of them are, but I enjoyed this one. A few places to sit and eat--good for a casual date (quiet enough for conversation, and sharing ice cream is yummy!). Lots of flavor combinations--I got the chocolate peanut butter perfection one, and the b/f got the cheesecake one. His had fruit with the cheesecake ice cream. I liked mine a lot, but he thought the Ben and Jerry's cheesecake ice cream was better for flavor. He liked the fruit in it (lots!) and they even gave him a little extra than usual because I think they thought we would be sharing it. The ice cream is very rich and fresh tasting (mixed right in front of you!). The service was pretty speedy. The ice cream is a little overpriced, but it's about the same as going to get a dessert somewhere. If you want just basic take-home ice cream, a grocery store is better. They do have some you can take home in pints, but I don't know how it tastes. read more

We went to Cold Stone in Issaquah and had their Cake ice cream Sunday. Sweet, and very reminiscent of cake. The base ice cream had a batter like flavor (if you like to clean the beaters you'll like this one) and we had mixed in chocolate cake (brownie) with sprinkles. Again. This is my regular ice creme shop for my son as its same place as in fred Meyer. I went with my son on 04/10/2018 for his treat. Lady in the counter was very rude. She was throwing the ice creme box on the counter and atmost falling down. Not sure what is the problem for her or her employee. But should not treat customer like throwing biscuits to dog. This place is the definition of cheap. I have been to many Cold Stones in many states and this is hands down the worst location EVER and the corporate folk really need to step in as there are hurting the brand allowing this location to cut corners and underserve. On our 1st visit, I asked for a little more nuts because the portion served was barely a teaspoon. The woman, who appeared to be the owner said, "Sure, only one dollar more". I said, are you serious and she had a constipated look on her face. My buddy ordered a founders creation and she charged like $4 more. I said that other locations don't charge for mix in's on the founders and she looked like she was going to have to mortgage the place in order to assist. In the end, we said forget it, just make the shakes and she did to the tune of like $20 for two shakes. What was my favorite part was the rich flavor that Cold Stone is known for was not there. The base was so diluted with milk, it tasted just like a milk Slurpee. I will typically give places a second chance, so I returned and was helped by the same woman, this time I watched close to not her techniques. 1. I asked for a sample of a new flavor and you would have thought I asked for a kidney. She took a spoon and I kid you not, drew a sample somewhere around the size of a jelly belly. It was so small, I was not even sure of the taste. 2. She weighed my ice cream. Rally in the more than a decade since I became a customer no one has ever weighed the ice cream and the sure 100's of 16 year old Cold Stone crew has 100% made the shake the right size every time. She even had the nerve to take out about a tablespoon of ice cream and return in to the cooler. 3. When she went to add the almonds, she took a scoop that looked much smaller than other locations and shook the nuts off the scoop until completely level. Give me a break, all scoops may not be heaping, but no one has ever been so stingy and the portion was about $.05 worth, are your margins that tight? 4. When the shake was served, it was the same watery consistency and there was at least a half inch gap between the cream and lid. I guess that's why they measure and add too much milk, to ensure they are cheating customers out of the original Cold Stone experience. Although they are the only game in town, I think your dollar is better spent on a Blizzard or dessert at Red Robin, and of course the best alternative would be any other Cold Stone location. These folks clearly don't get it and someone would do well to pull their franchise. They are doing damage to the name one weighted scoop at a time. read more

Ice cream at any Coldstone is great -- my favorite, in fact! At this particular location, the customer service was terrible. There was an Asian lady managing the store (not sure if she was the owner or not), but she didn't smile, wasn't at all friendly, and gave very small portions. When I asked for a little extra topping or chocolate syrup, she was quick to say that there is a $.60 charge for every item. I watch my weight very carefully, and when I finally decided to treat myself with my favorite treat, the experience was ruined by that rude lady. I will not return to this location. read more

I've never had a "bad" experience here but the other reviews definitely touch on a good point - the employees, which I believer are all family, are never very friendly and cut straight to business. I've never been rude to though. Their ice cream is great - always very good and enough toppings to fulfill my cravings. The birthday cake remix is by far the best one on the menu. It is too bad that they quit singing. The only reason that I would go to a Coldstone and pay that much for an ice cream is because of the atmosphere. It used to be cool to see the reaction to a tip placed in the tip jar with a song. During my last visit, the group in front of me placed a two dollar tip in the jar and asked for a song because they were celebrating a b-day and the person ringing up the sale said "I do not sing, ask the other girl". Sure, the concoctions have silly names, and the prices are high. However, How can you not like the blends of ice cream they do here? They are awesome! Cheesecake Fantasy, Cookie Doughn't You Want Some, Oreo Overload just to name a few. It's really good stuff and the best thing is it's all LOW FAT!!! Ok, I made that up, but a couple of laps around the block will take care of that. I have never had any bad issues with the help here, so I can't speak on that. I'll come back for sure. read more
