Wonderful employees ! I love this location. Saturday, September 14th, 2024, my son and I went to this location and was helped by a beautiful soul. I did not get his name. He was alone. He was patient and offered suggestions. Although my son and I go to this location often, I do not recall ever meeting this person. I was hoping for the Whipped Lemon flavor that I had in San Diego a couple weeks ago, but for some reason can't find it at any locations here in the South Bay. However, the cashier gave me two other flavors to try, and they were both great!! I loved them so much, I mixed them lol. I ended up mixing the Strawberry Sorbet and the Strawberry, Mango, Banana Sorbet. I added fresh strawberries, raspberries and gummy bears. 10/10 if you have a fruity sweet tooth like me! I didn't eat mines until super late but it seems like the pecans were huge. I don't recall ever having whole pecans in my ice cream. That's the only thing I've ever gotten from there for the last 8 years and this was the 1st time I didn't enjoy it. Customer service was good as always. I'm mixing it up tonight trying a new flavor Tangerine Sorbet and Vanilla Custard it's different a kicked up 50/50 the vanilla is thick and sweet a perfect combination with the sorbet slightly tart and I love it. This is my new favorite. A drizzle of grand marnier would take this over the top making it a grown up 50/50... Lemon custard This custard is luscious with a creamy subtle lemon flavor of course the greedy that is me me me had to try it and it's so good. My brownie mix-in will kick this up ten notches. My daughter had the Banana Custard with an Oreo cookie mix-in she says it's delicious and it's her favorite. I usually get a Banana Custard and mix- in a fresh banana it's simple delicious and one my favorites. Tips Ask the server to add your mix-in lightly otherwise they will pummel the thing to death. I arrived at the restaurant today to pick up the order at 6:20 in the afternoon, it's 6:55 and the completely rude and ignorant employee didn't even want to give me the opportunity to cancel the order, then she went inside and spoke to her manager and came back all ignorant talking to me in front of all employees. I hope she understands that from today onwards I will sue this restaurant together with her. I asked her name once again, she was totally ignorant to me speaking rudely in front of all the customers who were in the store about 6 to 7 people. So I have everything recorded and now a lawsuit will be filed. She could have spoken calmly to me and acted peacefully with her, but she must have been having a bad day and was simply completely rude to me. He was outside cleaning and came in to help us out and the ladies helping inside were really kind. I think the owner was there as well so this may explain why they were so on there game but regardless good service is good service. The ice cream itself was great, I have a huge sweet tooth and this place was perfect for me. The founders favorite was amazing, we switched out one of the nut ingredientes for Oreos and boy oh boy that was a good choice. We also got the waffle cone and didn't regret it. I chose a certain ice cream with brownies and caramel on it instead I had Oreos no brownies and chocolate chip pieces I don't like chocolate chips pieces in my ice cream and no caramel on it I was looking at it like this doesn't look like what I ordered also the chocolate bowl cone was so stale no crunch nothing it was hard as a rock I trashed it. Wow the girl who helped us here last night was so amazing!!! I can't remember her name but she was so kind. After telling her it was my second time there she offered so many varieties of choices I for sure would have been overwhelmed had she not been as accommodating as she was. This was the worst customer service ever at cold stones. The shift lead that prepared our order was rude and acted as if she didn't want to be at work or make our ice cream. She cut the smallest piece of banana that was less than half a finger, then when asked to add strawberries she put literally one and a half strawberries. Than to top it off, the shift lead told us we couldn't use our cold stone gift card because it didn't work at this location. So I have a cold stone gift card but can't use it at my local cold stones. However, I was able to use it the week prior at this same location. Instead of calling for help on how to properly use the gift card she just said we couldn't use it. Their customer service, from one specific person, is TERRIBLE. I didn't get this young lady's name, but she will know who this is by this review. I ordered a cake online and during pick up, I decided to buy ice cream. At first, a love it mudpie mojo was ordered, and within 30 seconds I asked if I could change it to an Everybody's size. The young lady rolled her eyes and said "alright I guess I'll do it". For anyone that doesn't know what size that is, it's 48oz of ice cream. I expect to have a good ratio of mix in's in this 48oz order. However, the young lady did not put enough fudge, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, or almonds in it. There are photos here to prove it. It seemed as if this young lady did not want to work not want to be there. I paid $17 for this and all it tasted like was coffee ice cream and no mixes. This is unacceptable. This is the second time this young lady gives terrible customer service. When she was putting the ice cream in the container, she dropped a big amount on the floor. She simply got more coffee ice cream and added it to the top to put enough into my order. Again, no mix in's or anything. I have been buying from cold stone for over 10 years, and the service and the ice cream I paid for are not up to par. I got away from going to the cold stone in the downtown Long Beach area because of bad customer service. Not it seems like this location is following the trend.
