I walked in this evening and there was a sizable line but it was moving along. Didn't actually buy anything. The entire store reeked of spoiled milk. I worked at an ice cream shop for over four years and that's a good indication that they're not properly cleaning the store. The ice cream at Coldstone is always amazing and the portions are normally generous. But this review deserves only a 3 star because of their waffle bowls. The past several visits have resulted in a stale and almost inedible waffle bowl, and today they were bland and tasted like cardboard! I know from experience of working at a Coldstone way back in the day as one of my first jobs, that the waffle cones should be made with a generous portion of cinnamon and stored properly to avoid them becoming stale. If I could do it at 17, so can your employees. I splurge at Coldstone and pay the extra money for my waffle bowls, please make it worth the money and not just a reason to grit my teeth while enjoying my creamy and delicious ice cream. read more

I love the flavors and quality of their ice cream. The staff is friendly and the portions are fantastic. The price is a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for. When I have a few extra dollars I like to splurge here. I will get their largest size and save it for left overs. It will last me about 3-4 more nights of delicious treats. read more

We walked into the the door with 9 minutes until closing and due to the long line by the time I could order, the lights were being turned off and the cold stone was as well! I've never been treated that poor in my life. One of the ladies was too busy telling everyone they were closing instead if serving their customers. So I like to come here every once in a while when I'm looking for something a bit better than the supermarket ice cream or if I want to treat my little girl. I really like the way they do ice cream. It's not too stiff (overly-frozen) and they have a bunch of toppings including fruit which I like. The only thing is that the service isn't great. It's adequate and they aren't rude, but they're not particularly upbeat either. I suppose an ice cream parlor isn't the ideal place to work, but if you work someplace that children frequent, it's important to at least feign a decent attitude. read more

I've been to this location multiple times over the past few weeks & my experience tonight finally prompted this review. The ice cream is good for a chain. Having had truly hand-churned, hand-packed ice cream from a little tiny Mom & Pop place when I was a kid, I'll never attain that level of flavor ever again from a chain store but it's certainly better than in a grocery store. The store is neither a shambles nor super clean. I don't use public restrooms so can't speak to that. I recognize several of the employees as being there from the previous times I've been there. Not a single one of them ever greet a customer with a pleasant affect: no smile, no pleasant "how are you today", absolutely nothing other than a curt "what can I get for you" & then grim mixing of the order. It used to be that if you tipped them - and i DO still tip them although they do absolutely nothing to deserve the tip - the employees would sing all together & it was just a fun experience, especially for kids. I don't know when/why they stopped doing this. Every employee looks like indentured servants who are only a few months into their 7 years. My complaint that prompted this review may seem petty but was one of those small things you just can't believe an employee would take so much time to provide the opposite of customer service: My daughter asked for the medium size, Love It, with a waffle bowl for her order. She received a generous amount of ice cream in her bowl. So much so that she couldn't take more than a few bites. We wanted to take the remainder of it home. They design their packaging in such a way that the waffle bowls cannot be taken home intact in a cup with a lid. Hers was still so full that it just made more sense to fully transfer the whole thing to a larger container altogether - like a container for the takeout ice cream, in fact. I suggested this to the employee when asking her for a take home container, and she responded by handing me a teeny plastic lid made for the Love It cup. I explained that even breaking the waffle bowl down it was going to cause the ice cream to gush over the sides given how melted it was at that stage (and also make the waffle bowl totally a mushy mess by the time we got it home). She continued to insist and describe to me exactly HOW I needed to break the waffle bowl down in order to fit it. I then brought it to her to show her, thinking she would see the sense of just putting it in a bigger container or maybe even just breaking it down into two smaller ones? MY MISTAKE. I wish so much now that I had paid attention to her name, but I actually am not sure they were wearing name tags. If so, I didn't catch her name. She had to ask someone in the back how to go about fitting this ice cream under & into the lid she wanted it to. She then chastised the girl who had *made* the order for overfilling the waffle bowl & making it too difficult for her to fit it under the lid & break up the waffle bowl. She went to a LOT of effort to not give me anything but that small plastic lid, in other words. She gets a very high mark for conserving company funds in not handing out any extra packaging to make a customer happier. I was so shocked at her determination to make me UNhappy that I admit to loosing a choice word on her regarding her efforts to not allow me a 25 cent container and then walked out. The other poor reviews on Yelp should be discouraging to those considering getting a treat here as well. Until the owner considers some employee training on customer service I just don't consider it a viable option for ice cream any longer. I will go to another ice cream vendor in town before I'll give another cent to Coldstone. read more

First, the place is filthy. The floors are sticky, and the tables, chairs and even the entry way need attention. The bathroom was gross, and for some reason there was a very sour smell. The entire staff was teenagers, which is fine, but they don't really know how to interact with customers other than taking an order. I love Cold Stone! We used to go all the time when we lived in Los Angeles and I was excited to get my Mud Pie Mojo during our visit to Boise. The ice cream was as good as usual but I have to say we COULD NOT eat inside the store. My 4yr old had never been to a Cold Stone and he was excited to go. The first thing he said when we entered was "this place smells disgusting". I had to agree. It literally smelled like a mix of sweaty hockey pads, vomit and a public bathroom on a hot day. WOW! I was getting sick while waiting in line. Somehow I persevered, got my ice cream and found a table outside to sit at. When my son needed to use the restroom my husband and I had to Roshambo to see who would take him. My husband lost so I can't give you details on the bathroom but my husband looked a little pale when he came back!! I don't think the people working here could be any slower. I'm standing here like I have been for 30 minutes and that line was that long really. The girls are literally walking a quarter speed and staring at each scoop of ice cream as they put it in the blender for an extra 3 seconds. I'd consider actually hiring people that can move faster than a snail if you want to get this place thriving. read more

By far, Cold Stone Creamery is the best ice cream shop I have ever been to! Their ice cream is superb and selections are always fresh! I cannot tell you how many times I have visited this location and have always received exceptional customer service and awesome ice cream creations. If I had the money I would eat here every evening for dessert. I even brought family here when they were in town from Ohio visiting and everyone could not say enough good things about how their ice cream tasted. Thank you Cold Stone Creamery!! read more
