Wow. My cheesecake ice cream was extravagantly out of this world. I walked into this institution and found tears forming at my eyelids. It reminded me so much of my great great great great great great great nonna's icecream shop located in Hugh Janus Lane, Donely, Michigan 16978. The smile on each employee's face made my day. The girl that served me was a young teenage girl who could not be happier to be there on that lovely Saturday evening. I 100% recommend this Coldstone Creamery. Haven't been to Cold Stone in awhile, so decided to give it another try. Service was fast despite the long line and many customers trying ice cream flavors. I made my own creation with mint ice cream, oreos and kit kats. I always like that they mix the ingredients together in front of you and make the dish very creamy. I ordered a medium, but the server scooped too much so it was basically a large and she moved it into a bigger bowl. The mint ice cream was very good and not overly minty flavored. While my kit kats were unfortunately stale, the oreos were fresh and still crunchy. For almost $8 I think it's overpriced for what you get, especially with each topping $1. read more

You can never go wrong with ice cream. However, Cold Stone is kind of average ice cream and crazy overpriced for what you get. I paid upwards of $4 for the smallest size of the milk and cookies ice cream with pecans mixed in - the ice cream itself was not bad (because who has ever heard of bad ice cream), but it was nothing spectacular. The flavor I got was definitely underwhelming; it was kind of chocolatey but not quite and kind of vanilla but not quite. I would say save the money and get yourself a pint of Ben & Jerry's instead. read more

Ehhh, I got a No Fair Funnel Cake here after our Mexican lunch at neighboring Jose Ole, and man did it make me want to go to a state fair to have a real funnel cake, or at least make my own. It should come as no surprise, but the funnel cakes are akin to Eggo waffles here and are merely toasted in an electric oven. That being said, they did give me a bunch of nice, fat, fresh strawberries, and I sort of like their bagged whipped cream, which is a notch above what you get out of an aerosol can. And the ice cream ain't bad. They apparently make it on the premises (I saw an ice cream maker back there), and you can't help but want to eat it as they scoop it up with those paddles and work those fixings into the dairy blob on a frozen marble slab. For some reason I liked the Squirrel Hill one a notch more. Methinks the chains are finally wearing on me. My son asked the young man AJ to just use his imagination and make him something. The combo he came up with was mind blowing, my kid loved it. They do charge 59 cents per mix in. I felt rushed to chose my ice cream and toppings but I did arrive within an hour of closing time. We stopped on Thursday night and it was fairly busy but the female worker was incredibly helpful and kind. My daughter has celiac and gets very sick from gluten even cross contamination. The cold stone worker checked the ingredients of the flavor my daughter selected and got a new container of ice cream and new stainless steel plate to mix her ice cream on. Awesome customer service!!
