It's been more than half a decade since I've been to Coldstone's. The ice cream is very creamy and sweet. I usually get the Strawberry Blonde, but opted for the one flavor and one mix-in because of their BOGO deal. Otherwise, it's not really worth it. I got the Love It size with cheesecake ice cream and strawberries ($5.09). I have to say that they don't skimp out on the mix-in amount they give you. And staff was very friendly! read more

I am so disappointed in this Cold Stone location. I tried to make it to the store before closing and even called to confirm closing times because I had a coupon that was going to expire that day. They told me I had to print the coupon out so I spent 10 minutes on my sister's computer to print the coupon out. I got to Cold Stone at 9:01 p.m. and they would not let me in the store. The employee basically shook his head, no. I ended up going to get ice cream and brownie mix at Target and making my own mix. I realized it actually tastes better and a lot cheaper doing it this way. So my girlfriend is into Cold Stone and i never had it. One day we come in and got the two signature creations for their yelp promotion 2 for $10.I tried to use a promotion online that i had on my phone but they told me i had to print it out and bring it in which was a bummer.So I choose Oreo Overload and they mash the ice cream and mix it with the ingredients like oreos, chocolate chips and fudge. I thought the service was okay and the ice cream was okay. Not bad besides the chocolate chips were rock hard which ruined it for me. I came back a few days later and was greeted by the same girl who helped me the first time. I ordered a strawberry blonde for the same yelp promotion. This time, she put in little to no work on creating my signature creation. She flattened the ice cream to try form a crater which ended up looking completely flat due to her 3 seconds of effort. She then adds the ingredients and tries to mix it together with a toss and turn which ended up leaving the ice cream on a side and everything else on the other side. I wanted to ask her to actually mix it but she looked like she wanted to leave even though the store wasn't gonna close for around 30-45 minutes. I watched videos online and heard that they usually mix it more. I guess i just haven't received a great service yet. The parking here is great and is in a plaza filled with other restaurants and even Target. I have a sliver of hope that i will get a good creation and will try this place once more. read more

Wow, I haven't been to Coldstone in years and I don't know exactly why! Well, after wonderfully scrumptious hot wings from the next-door neighbor Rose City Pizza, Amy M. and I were craving some ice cream to top off a decadent afternoon of food and friends. Honestly, I was originally aiming for something with peanut butter and chocolate. I was eyeing the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection in the Like It size, just to try to keep the calorie load down. Then I realized that I had to head home right away and I was going to hit rush hour. At the last minute I decided to get the PB&C shake in the small glass. Ooh la la! Peanut Butter and Chocolate are just a match made in flavor heaven and after a sip of my perfect shake, a shiver went down my spine and it wasn't from the cold. Perfection... I remembered Cold Stone being a magical place when I was younger. So uhh.. why does it now look like a run-down back alley of some sketchy place? It was daytime and we were craving for some ice cream on this hot day after our meal. Maybe they were conserving electricity but this place seemed dark and gloomy. Very limited seating with one table inside and two out front. Andddddd, it was a bit dirty.. and that's sad because I am not the cleanest person ever and it still bugged me. I love Cold Stone, but NOT this particular location; the associate that took my order and mixed my not so cold - Cold Stone (banana ice-cream) selection, had no clue as to what I meant by asking for extra almonds in the mix, I definitely had to ask her at-least thrice to please add extra almonds. She acted like she only had enough almonds to last her the rest of her shift. Even after a told her that I was happy to pay for the extra almonds she pretended that they were going out of season and only pinched in a few. Also, I was a little annoyed that the view, to see the magic/mix happen was obstructed by the double stacks of condiment containers blocking the view; not sure if it's done intentionally or just extremely poor arrangement of the condiment containers. I am hoping that it's the latter one. Since, I can definitely testify that part of the enjoyment of purchasing ice-cream mixes; is to see your creation being develop into what you will soon, not only be looking at but savoring and hopefully enjoying. I hope my review is not seeing as just another rant but seen more as a learning tool. With that said I do hope others have a better experience at this location. Everybody knows the ice cream cakes are delicious so I am not even going to review them. My review is for the customer service representatives, only if I had remembered their names. When I looked at the Happy Birthday writing on my ice cream cake, I was absolutely enraged. How can you butcher a four letter name, after I explicitly instructed you how to spell it numerous times. I was especially appalled with your penmanship. Have some pride in your work. I know you are not a calligraphy expert or handwriting specialist but damn, that was ugly. Practice if you have to. It is suppose to look neat and appealing like the ice cream cake but you destroyed it. It was sloppy and lazily written. The girl who works there, you took an awfully long time in the back with the inscription, so I had assumed the writing was going to be super nice and fancy, since she was taking her time. Boy was I wrong, she had made a mistake and spelled the name wrong and had to fix it. She was called to the front to help a customer. She came back out after nearly 10 minutes. She brought the ice cream cake out and only had Happy Birthday on it. The other worker had to complete it, and he had hideous handwriting as well. Practice your cursive Cold Stone workers. read more

But this coldstone is disappointing, because of this one girl that was not-so-friendly (that also made my ice cream really nasty). Too bad i didn't catch the names. I've been here 3 times i think. the first time i went, there was this really nice girl. She was very welcoming and offered samples. I got a like it + 1 mix in with a birthday coupon i got from my email. She was happy to take it, and after she made the ice cream and thought it was a little too smalll, she asked if i wanted a little more. I didn't wanted more, it was fine, but it was very nice of her to offer. Then this year, (that barely started), i got another free ice cream coupon in my email from cold stone for a early birthday treat for 2011. I decided to go again before it expires. This time i went, obviously i didn't know you needed the first page of the email since only the actual coupon was on the 2nd page, so i tossed the first page away. I went there, there was another girl working, she didn't look friendly at all, didn't even get a welcome (when it wasn't busy at all). So i handed my coupon to a guy, and he said he needed the first page, and she stepped in and said yeah, we need the first page sorry. So i was like o..k..so they told me to come back again later. But she gave me that face, why did she look like she was all pi$$ed? It's not my fault, it's just a free scoop of ice cream. Anyways, so i went back the second day. yes i did, cuz i didn't like her attitude. And that same girl was there AGAIN! I guess she kinda remembered and didn't welcome me. So i just handed her both pages of the coupon and showed her my ID plus a copy of one of my mail in case she starts being all "strict" and saying that my legal name doesn't match the name on the coupon. ok fine, forget her attitude. She then made me a like-it size with strawberry mix-in. It literally took her 5 secs b/c - 1. She just scooped out the melting part of the ice cream for me, and 2. she just used her "whatever attitude" and mixed the ice cream, the strawberries were super big pieces. That thing turned out to be a "Super TINY" scoop, smaller than the scoop i got the first time from the nicer girl. Despite that, the whole thing was melting, liquidy, NASTY! I was too mad to say anything, but girl, if you don't wanna make it for me, tell ur boss to make it, don't give your customers that attitude. This is my favorite Cold Stone store ever! The employees are always friendly and the Yelp deal is forever there. I come here maybe once every 2 weeks for the Coffee Lovers Only and the Buy 1 Get 1 Yelp deal makes me choose this store specifically. Hope they never take that down. Their creations are damn amazing, I don't want to try the failure of my own b/c theirs are soo great. So far I've loved: Birthday cake remix which OMG tastes like eating cake! Banana Caramel crunch, sccrummmp-dily-dumpish (you know what Ned Flanders says). Mint Mint chocoloate chips which actually if you don't like chips goes good with chocolate shavings. Highly recommended for those who love mind chocolate b/c they put a whole brownie in there (ahh jeez us!) Strawberry Banana Rendezvous, its like a banana split kabloom. So I ahvn'et gotten through the rest they have but don't think you can do better then their custom creations, its just not going to be the same. My only complaint, which is not really their fault, is of course the price, the hubby and I can never walk out of there spending less then $15 for the 2 of us! read more
