If I could leave zero stars, I would. We visited today with our family of five, and the customer service from Joy W. was incredibly disappointing. From the start, she didn't listen to our order, which resulted in the first ice cream being made incorrectly. Instead of trying to fix the mistake politely, she seemed annoyed with us. Throughout the entire order, she repeatedly asked, "Is that it?" after every single ice cream, making us feel rushed and like we were inconveniencing her. At one point, she told us they were out of vanilla, even though we could clearly see vanilla ice cream right in front of us. The entire interaction was unpleasant. She never smiled, never appeared welcoming, and acted as though making our order was a burden. My husband and I were so uncomfortable with the experience that we decided not to order ice cream for ourselves. We even gave away the gift card we had because we no longer wanted to support the business after how we were treated. We understand everyone has bad days, but customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had. read more

My wife and I stopped by this Cold Stone creamery store today because we were inside the Promenade the store is in. I was craving some ice cream and brought her here. It been a while since I came to a Cold Stone so I was willing to try it. I went with the chocolate ice cream and asked for it to be in a small single cone so single scoop I was hoping. The worker give me a waffle cone and it looked huge, he never told me the price though. After my wife saw my cone, she asked for a more smaller cone and he got her the kids cone with the French vanilla ice cream she wanted. I was shocked with the total price because I was wondering why it was so high. I asked for my receipt and he give me someone else receipt then went to help another customer. Another worker came and I asked him for my correct receipt which he give me. I wasn't happy I paid a high price for my ice cream here and not planning on coming back. My wife enjoyed her French vanilla but thought it was a little too sweet. My chocolate ice cream was fine but I was given a lot when I only wanted a little it and feel I was trick to pay the higher of the cost with no toppings either. read more

The lights were off when we walked into the store. There were a few orange Halloween lights, so I'm not sure if it was ambiance or some other issue. The display cases for the mix-ins were moldy and old. I peeked over to the actual containers for the mix-ins and didn't see anything peculiar, but was still unfortunately turned off from getting a mix-in. The ice cream tasted nice, but was more airy and less creamy and dense from what I remember getting years ago. Staff was alright! They weren't overtly friendly, but I'm not really looking for that. I just need a pleasant and efficient transaction, which it was. Overall, an odd experience. Not sure if I'll be back at this location. read more

I cannot get enough of this place. The staff of young people are always in such a good mood, despite the nasty customers I regularly see berating them over things they cannot control. They always do so great, give the ice cream and toppings a solid mix, smile and chat with my family and I. The store is clean, welcoming and looking good. I have to say, to the woman with with a top bun who was in on Sunday, while I was there with my daughter, how dare you complain about your ice cream melting after you already ate half of it.... Ice cream melts, how could you be surprised by that? Then you have the gumption to then demand a refund and start taking these poor kids pictures and demand their names... How entitled could you be? This place consistently produces typical CSC product so no issues there. The outdoor seating is nice. Centrally located in the mall shopping area of Valencia. No frills no thrills. The inside is not always the cleanest and typically closes early or shuts down its cold stone about 15-30 mins before closing, so they will then just pile all your toppings on top. No biggie as I just got a cup size larger and mixed it myself, but if you're coming for the cold stone experience and you arrive 15-30 mins before they close, even on a busy weekend night, you'll miss that part. I probably would have given them a two rating for closing up the main point of differentiation early and for the unhappiness of the workers which made me feel bad coming in 15 mins before closing. Nice people tho and could tell and feel as a customer that they were beyond ready to go. I suspect they're not treated well hence being nicer with the rating. The owner has had a need to run this place better for some time, that also deserves a 1-2, and clearly they don't read Yelp reviews. It's not the kids working there fault. I suspect the owner is an equally poor manager to them. Lastly the hours have been wrong since Covid, the ones posted are different than the actual hours and different than what has been on Yelp, Google and Apple Maps, so I submitted new hours so at least they'll be correct here soon. Went f to get ice cream for my 2 year old granddaughter and my daughter since it's so hot, I had a gift card for $25. We placed our order, when tried to pay the clerk said card declined. I again said there's $35 on the card ( my total was $27.27 Got home and called happy eats about card being declined. I was told the clerk has to do a transaction for the exact amount then charge additional amount separately. It was very disappointing since we had to wait so long, and then hear we couldn't use card. Recently this location has gone downhill. The last two times I have tried to grab some ice cream they have been closed before their posted hours. Once on a Thursday night they closed at 8:45pm due to short staffing posted on a sign at the door. I only saw one employee inside the store at the time so I had an understanding. The second time, we tried to go on a Sunday night and this time there were 3 employees in the store, doors were locked by 9:22pm when online is says it closed at 10pm so we ended up driving to Handel's and eating ice cream there. Finally went last night and made sure to get there by 7:30pm to avoid an early store closing. Staff was helpful and we were finally able to order some ice cream. The fact that this location is so inconsistent in it's hours is a shame because cold stone has some delicious ice cream flavors and toppings. read more

Came in on a Friday night at 10pm to get our own mixed creations. I brought 2 kids that haven't ever been in, they were thrilled to try it. The icecream is fantastic, creamy, thick, and you can tell it's fresh. I worked here about 15 years ago and this location always made the icecream fresh in store! The boys ordered one "I like it" and one "I love it" sizes (small and medium) The workers were happy to give samples and the boys made their selections. One had the vanilla mixed with peanut butter, brownie and Carmel, the other had chocolate mixed with marshmallows and KitKats! It's fun to watch the workers scoop your icecream and mix in your toppings on the cold stone. It's a show and it's always fun to watch a confectionery be made! The boys dug in immediately and said it was the best icecream they've ever had! Huge compliments from a 9 and 12 year old that eat too much sugar regularly. My favorite is the founders favorite but now that I need to eat gluten free and dairy free I decided to not get a treat. They did have a dairy free option for the icecream and I appreciated that! I don't want to take chances with mixing anything (cross contamination could be hard for gluten free or dairy free dietary restrictions here) Many toppings to choose from, their brownies are great, there's sauces, cookie dough, various candies, nuts and wonderful waffle cones that are made in house! It's on the pricier end but it's well worth it in my opinion for the product. Located in the promenade center, easily spotted and large parking lot! We'll definitely be back soon. The Most Unprofessional place I've ever been! My lg cup of chocolate ice cream was half melted, as in extremely soft, when the worker handed it to me. I tried to eat it in store, but the consistency was that of a shake. I came for ice cream, not a shake. I decided to return it after my husband and I shared a few bites and the original worker agreed to replace it with another (he was understanding at first). I said I'd keep the lid on the new one, go straight home and put it in the freezer. My original cup was still spilling all over the edges and I wasn't going to bring that in my car. A second guy came out and very sarcastically told me "ice cream melts" while giving me a terrible & demeaning look. Totally uncalled for & he continued to say derogatory comments under his breath, so I had enough asked for his name and he refused. A girl came out and they decided to all side with each other against me. She said I can't have anyone's name. What?? Suddenly the customer's the bad guy for returning a sub par product? Meanwhile they took my original cup back, threw it away & then proceeded to try and force me to PAY for the new one!! I refused and said then give my original one back! They literally stole it and tried to make me pay for another one. I demanded my money back and stormed out. The Saturday night staff needs major training in customer relations and attitude checks. When I insisted on the manager's name ALL THREE 20-30yr old kindergarteners refused to give it to me and claimed they don't know & can't give it out. Way to admit guilt, guys... I told the most rude one I'm going to take his picture then and show it to the manager once I find out who it is on my own, so he literally ran and hid in the back of the store! My husband sat and witnessed everything and also could not believe the whole thing. I'm embarrassed for the three of them for acting so poorly in handling this situation. Besides that, the floor look like they haven't been mopped in weeks, tables and chairs falling apart and displayed candy was so old it looked dry, hard and off color. It's so gross in there. Glass is filthy, floors have spills all over them and in result are sticky, and it smelled rotten. I debated leaving the moment I walked in but didn't want to be rude. The worker also overcharged us by over $2 (after tax) and did not print an itemized receipt. They must be sliding in a gratuity fee or employees are pocketing the money. Ice cream was half melted. The ambiance was great with their workers, music, and service. I was happy to be recognized again for my order as I returned. They make a friendly environment for anyone who enters. It's obvious the owners have not taken any sort of steps to rectify the issues with their coolers and fridges and not only miss out on business but put a bad name to their label as this is the only cold stone on the Valencia side. My family and I recently visited this Cold Stone location for a sweet treat. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience due to the staff. We began by looking at the ice cream cakes in the freezer and one staff member rudely said "are you going to order something?". We were planning on purchasing a cake, but felt rushed and decided to just place our ice cream order. We entered the line at the wrong end and were reprimanded again. After asking what we wanted, they did not say one word to us. They were clearly annoyed that customers had walked in the door, although the store was completely empty other than our group of 5. Additionally, the woman scooping our ice cream had long hair in a loose/low ponytail with most of it hanging out in the front. Her hair was nearly touching our ice cream. I'm not asking for hairnets to be worn but employees should at least have their hair pulled back to avoid it dangling above the ice cream. My family and I were kind to the staff regardless of their behavior, but I wish I had said something about how they treated us as customers. read more
