I watched her put the yellow cake slices in mine, but unfortunately she overblended both shakes so our add-ins were basically nonexistent. I don't usually go to Cold Stone, but I decided to give it a shot, and I was left pretty disappointed. I ordered on their app and went with the "Cornbread is My Jam". The description in the app promised honey cornbread with blackberry jam ice cream, cornbread, honey, and blueberries. What I got looked like plain vanilla with some cornbread mashed in, maybe half a dozen frozen blueberries, and zero signs of the blackberry jam or honey. It was very rich and sweet, and every bite tasted the same. Pickup wasn't great either. I stood under the "Online Pickup" sign for a couple of minutes before anyone noticed me (they were helping other customers, fair enough). They grabbed my order quickly from the back, which I appreciated, but the cup was overpacked and a bit melted. I opened it and immediately had a sticky mess on my hands. For $8.50, I could've bought a pint of the best ice cream at the grocery store, had leftovers, and saved money. Will I be back? Maybe in a pinch, but I won't go out of my way. read more

Either their freezer or the cold plate was not cold enough, so the mushy cup was literally dripping when it was handed to us. Hey, I ordered ice cream, not a melting shake! The kiddo usually gets Strawberry Blonde, and I usually get Coffee Lovers Only. Once in a blue moon we may be adventurous and order different flavors. But we like what we like and stick to it. We have ordered ice cream cakes from Cold Stone for a few years now and never had any issues since you can't really go wrong with it. Almost 2 weeks ago we went to get an ice cream cake from here and when we went to eat it, it was utterly disappointing. The cake was so frozen to the point the actual cake part was like ice. We called the store asking if we could replace the cake for a new one (not even asking for a refund just a replacement cake). They expressed that we just needed to let it thaw but we've gotten cakes here and never had any issues thawing it but why would we thaw an ICE CREAM cake. If I wanted ice I could've just gone to Safeway and gotten a bag of ice and ice cream for $10 and make myself a similar cake for much cheaper. The manager told us that he can only give us a $20 credit and we expressed we just want a replacement which he then told us we can use that $20 to get a new cake. The cake we bought is $44 so how is that supposed to cover the new cake when the original one we bought is inedible. Even when talking to him, he was constantly stuttering and stumbling over his words like he didn't know how to handle a situation of someone simply just wanted to replace their terrible cake for a new one. We then reached out to corporate and it's been almost 2 weeks and we haven't heard anything. I guess this poor customer service and quality is free advertising for Baskin Robbin's. read more

I love cold stone but this location sucks. Like other reviewers have mentioned, something is wrong with the ice cream consistency. The slab that they mix the ice cream on melts the already soft ice cream and on the end you just get soupy ice cream. The consistency of the ice creams in the tubs already look off from the start, compared to other cold stone locations. Toppings are fine, but as soon as they start mixing the soft ice cream on the slab, it's game over. I was so disappointed that the quality can vary so much. Ice cream consistency was airy and did not hold shape. This is unfortunately the worst cold stone I've ever had. The three teenage girls who were working there had customer service and gave me attitude when I NICELY asked if they can do anything about the liquidy ice cream. I would not recommend this spot and would suggest going to a farther cold stone location like at the Westfield mall for better quality. I'm writing this review because of the super customer experience provided by Kevin, the employee who prepared 3 cups of ice cream to go for my kids. I personally don't care for the ice cream as it's a bit too gooey for me, but my kids love it. I got the cotton candy with sprinkles mix-in, Oreo Devotion, and the Strawberry Blonde. I trust they are all great tasting because we go once a year when the kids are home for the holidays. Two of them we wanted the waffle cone bowl. Kevin specifically said he would keep the ice cream separate so that the waffle cone would not be all mushy when we got home. Upon entering, a smell wafted upon the party I was with, the open doors were not any indication of alarms, just seemed inviting. We ignored the oddity and meandered along, waiting for kids and teens and old folks to get their orders in to the young ice cream slinger. Our turn was nearing the coveted spot, the corner where you get to see all the flavors and even sample them, the corner of the creamery where dreams become cold cones filled sweetness and delight before blossoming into guilt of betrayal and succumbing to gluttony. Not this corner or despair. As you round into the tubs of flavors, between the restroom and the ice cream, that's when I saw it. The sewage pouring from beneath the bathroom door, the stench and the flooding of the drenching of dreams, splashing and sloshing in the brown of someone's bowels forever soaking into our pant hems, dresses, summer kicks. Just came here with my friend for a Milkshake but the guy didn't really speak good English. My friend asked for a shake with their circus animal ice cream and the guy turned to the menu and said milk and cookies right? He really didn't understand. We had to repeat it 4 different times. Saturday May 6, 9PM. We seriously suspected the workers were high on something while working. When in line, they were secretly giggling about something, eyeing each other, looking suspicious. When it was our time to order neither the dude with semi-long blonde hair and beard, or the curly brunette haired girl could contemplate or process our orders correctly. When asked, I clearly stated to the girl what I wanted with the size, ice cream, and topping. Then one second later she asked what size, I told her.. then she asked which ice cream again? I told her.. And then when she put it in the cup I told her I asked for the topping.. she said oh I thought you said just the ice cream.. uhhh did she not listen or process anything I've said when she asked me for my order? Something was very suspicious. Also, back to the blonde hair with beard. While he was done with my wife's order and rung up both of our orders while the girl was making mine, there was another customer in line. He asked this other customer twice if we were together and had this bewildered look on his face, almost in a paranoid state. Like hello? You just rung ours up already, I'm just waiting for mine to be finished, so why are you asking if the other customer is with me? Plus the way he was handling and practically throwing the ice cream instead of gently giving it to us was atrocious and unprofessional. Something was very off. I'm a registered nurse who've worked with hundreds, if not thousands of patients. I know when people are acting abnormal, suspicious, or under the influence. My favorite flavor from way back was Cherry Cake Double Take, and they will still make it for me but now they don't serve black cherries which is a major bummer and definitely harshes my mellow, man. Quality wise of the actual ice cream was pretty on par with what you'd expect from a Cold Stone. The prices aren't cheap but the portions are pretty large. I ordered a Valentines Day heart cake online 3 days in advance just in case they sold out. I placed the order and requested to have Happy Valentines Day Hubby written in blue letters since blue is his favorite color. I walked in on Valentines Day to pick up my order, and the girl went to the back and obviously couldn't find it in the back. So she came up to the front and looked in the freezer and asked her coworker, "Where are the heart cakes?" Again, I ordered it well in advance. Why the hell are you looking around lost when it should've been prepared? I placed my order in advance so it would be ready and hopefully beat my husband home from work. She couldn't find one in the freezer up front either, so she walked back to the freezers in the back area of the store. About another 5 minutes goes by, and she brings up the bag and hands it to me. She didn't look happy. I grabbed the bag and left in a hurry to get home and get the cake in the freezer so my husband wouldn't see it and spoil the surprise. I get home and open the bag, and there's NOTHING written on the cake. I specifically asked for writing on the cake in my online order. If you're going to charge $50 for a small a$$ cake the least you can do is get the order right and have it ready to pick up on the day and time specified. You need to do better! read more

Ice cream is pretty good but I came in today to order and was surprised that none of the employees were wearing masks. That normally would be okay by me but I then asked to try a sample (Oreo creme). The employees told me they could not give free samples "due to covid" I don't understand managements COVID policy - masks are not required but free samples would increase the risk of COVID? So an employee could literally breathe right on me but could not hand me ice cream while wearing gloves? Cold stones should not just pick and choose which parts of COVID safety they want - either no masks and samples or masks and no samples. Seems to me like a way to save on having samples. I purchased the mint because I know it's flavor but because I didn't know what Oreo creme would taste like - passed on a double scoop.
