Tonight my husband got Gotta have it in a chocolate covered waffle bowl. It tasted differently. It turns out waffle bowl was burnt and had a hole on the bottom. Ice cream is pretty good but I came in today to order and was surprised that none of the employees were wearing masks. That normally would be okay by me but I then asked to try a sample (Oreo creme). The employees told me they could not give free samples "due to covid" I don't understand managements COVID policy - masks are not required but free samples would increase the risk of COVID? So an employee could literally breathe right on me but could not hand me ice cream while wearing gloves? Cold stones should not just pick and choose which parts of COVID safety they want - either no masks and samples or masks and no samples. Seems to me like a way to save on having samples. I purchased the mint because I know it's flavor but because I didn't know what Oreo creme would taste like - passed on a double scoop. The quality and service has dropped significantly over the years. It seems that every time we come in the ice cream we order is, with no exaggeration, always melted. The service has also been rather bad. The employees ignore you and they also provide inconsistent information about their policies. I ordered a cake 24hours prior to pick up date/time. This cake was for my parent's 37th anniversary. My pick up time was 4pm but I stopped by close to 5pm. There was plenty of time to have the PRE-PAID cake ready but instead the young lady who assisted went into the back to set up and write the message on the cake when I arrived. It took about 10 mins to receive the cake. Noone else was in the store when I arrived. So they weren't even busy at the time. She handed me a big red paper bag and I glanced to double check if it was an oreo cake inside. Yup~ so off I was. Problem is when I came home and opened the lid to light the cake. The message of the cake wrote, "HAPPY ANNIVERSY"?????!! Even the lettering was so messy. Looked like a 10 year old wrote it. WtH. I was so mad. Staff members need to learn how to check spelling! Who does this? This is such a careless error. Makes me regret choosing Cold Stone. I was very hesistant between BR and Coldstone. Inconsistent service & inconsistent serving sizes. I come to this location quite often when I'm craving ice cream and I've noticed in my last few visits that service & serving sizes are not up to par. You are basically being helped by high school kids; who are either bubbly & nice or hating life and don't want to be there. For example- a boy who helped me out didn't smile once and barely put any oomph into blending my brownie into my ice cream. Can you just imagine how his unhappy face look after being told to mix the brownie in a little more? And of course no good byes. Oh boy. Small place with less seating options but you can sit outside on the low wall, when the weather is good. Make your own or try their Signature creations. Signatures are pre-defined mix-ins - prefect when you are lazy and don't want to decide which toppings to add! Founders favorite, Coffee lovers and Cheesecake fantasy are few of my favorites. Cheesecake fantasy has graham crackers and berries. Tastes like a parfait because of the fruits. Chocolate devotion is truly chocolaty. Coffee lovers only is coffee ice cream with nuts, Heath bar and caramel sauce. Ordered a cake for my sister via Cold Stone website & the whole process was a piece of cake! Their prices aren't too bad, but it would be great if there were deals/coupons for cakes on special occasions. Minus one star for the incorrect directions online stating to line up at the "Pick Up Order" sign. There was no sign & it took awhile to be helped since there was only 1 person working the front on a hot, Friday afternoon w/many other customers waiting in line. Other than than, customer service was friendly & online ordering was very convenient. Having a sudden craving for ice cream, my fiance and I looked up the closest ice cream parlor. Coldstone was only 2.2 miles away, so we headed out! Located in a busy shopping center, we located parking a slight walk away; which would help "work" some of the ice cream off, LOL. So we put the cake on the counter top and a (disinterested) male said "can I help you"? I told him it was my first visit and asked a couple of questions. He seemed annoyed, but altered the "Coffee Lover's" concoction for me. I reached into my purse, thinking of paying cash. When the worker said $41.69, my brain froze! I politely asked; "I'm sorry, did you say $41.69"? He coldly said yes. My fiance and I looked at each other and he quietly said "I know where we won't get ice cream the next time". Lots of good base flavors to choose from (they even had specialty ones like strawberry cake batter this time around) and even a reduced-calorie option. I'm a sweet cream purist though, but my partner said the chocolate was pretty great. The cones are freshly made and their tempting fragrance wafts out of the store, inviting you to come in. The customer service is very friendly and efficient. I would suggest adding some tables outside because a lot of people wanted to linger and enjoy their ice cream and instead ended up sitting on concrete barriers in the shopping center. Mixed in way too much caramel and the cookie dough was really salty. Menu was hard to read, and not clear. A marketing department fantasy run amok has named all their sizes and flavors 'fun' things. For example a small is "like it' while a large is "love it", and you can order "Tall Dark and Minty" ice cream. Why can't you just call it a small or a large? My kids love this place, daughter's favorite destination for a treat. Birthday Cake Remix and Strawberry Shortcake are the best flavors. Milkshake Happy Hour every weekday from 3 - 5 pm ($3 milkshakes!). This place is pricey, but the servings are huge. They have shave ice (2.99) and will add ice cream to it for a couple bucks more. Tip - get the ice cream at the bottom (not the top), the flavors blend together better (on top the ice cream slides off).. Shave ice is fine on a hot day, but does not compare to the real deal in Hawaii. Not much seating, this place could spruce itself up a little in terms of the ambiance -- add some more pleasant seating. Maybe they don't want to encourage patrons to linger. As a parent, I wish they offered an iced coffee type beverage..... the ice cream is a little too much for me to eat - I come here to bring the kids. (It's on the opposite end of the mall from Starbucks and would save parents a hike across the strip mall). Dirty utensils everywhere, counters had not been wiped all day and the floor was filthy. 5 employees tripping over each other and all looked stressed. None had gloves and were touching everything in sight. Final straw was when one of the plastic, sliding doors for the ice cream cooler fell off and landed on the floor. Employee picked it up and put it right back on. Over the ice cream. So disgusting. Happened after I got my ice cream or else I would have walked out.
