I asked for the spaghetti carbonara with added chicken, and was told no because it already came with bacon. I understood that, but I still wanted to add chicken. I then asked if I could order the penne pasta dish with chicken but substitute a different pasta since I'm not a fan of penne, and again was told no. I've been to plenty of restaurants that don't allow certain substitutions, but simply adding chicken seemed like a reasonable request, especially since I didn't mind paying extra for it. It just felt a little strange being told no to every option. That said, the other staff members were attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is casual and had a steady crowd while we were there. I also noticed the entire staff working that night appeared to be male, just an observation. The food itself was really good. The baby greens salad, pasta dish, and chicken portobello were all very flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, I left with mixed feelings because the food was solid, but the ordering experience could have been more accommodating. Still, I would recommend giving this place a try because the food definitely delivers.

I remember really liking it, but for some reason we hadn't been back in a while. This week my husband couldn't stop talking about wanting an Italian sub, and Frumento's immediately came to mind. We drove down and ordered the '58 Classic and another tuna sub, both as combos. The sides absolutely stole the show. The purple cabbage was so good, the coleslaw wasn't my personal favorite but my husband loved it, the four bean salad was absolutely mouthwatering, and the marinated mushrooms were also delicious. I'm genuinely so glad we have leftovers for tomorrow because I'll definitely be thinking about that bean salad again. We'll absolutely be back!

Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. I work a couple minutes away so the drive there is quick which is perfect for my 30 minute lunch break. I tend to either order my food ahead of time so it can be ready and I just pick it up and go or I drive somewhere where I know it's quick and easy because they're not busy or because they have specials ready to pick up. Anyways, After we (the 4 people) walked in ....no one else came in, so it wasn't crazy with a line. I usually come in and get the 2 slice special. Wait is usually nonexistent since the slices are literally ready to put in a box. I was helped by another guy today (black beard, black shirt ) and felt there was no urgency from him during the " lunch hour". The pace was the same if there were 100 people or 1 of us. He took my order I sat down, he helped someone else then someone else then he shuffled some papers and got distracted by a little girl yelling across the street while waiting at the bus stop, then he headed to the back to do whatever and then came back out and answered the phone which is when I walked up and asked for a refund. I waited for a min and he noticed me then started getting the box ready for my slices and I told him to just give me a refund. He asked another guy to come over and he returned my funds back to my card and I kept the receipt and he apologized. I attached the receipt to show the time when I finally walked out 11:43 am 10 minutes after my order for two slices ready to go only a step away from the cashier. I never even got the soda cup to sip on while I waited. I may or may not return. If I do return and I see the gentleman in the black shirt that helped me today I'll just walk out. Most likely I won't be returning off this ONE experience. Do I recommend the food ? Yes Is the staff nice and attentive? Yes, Most of them Make what you want with this review but this was my experience today. I would've put this at a 4/5 review based of my past experiences but today made me drop it to 3/5. We had to ask a waiter/busboy to clean off the seats for us. Food: This restaurant is known for their pizza so we ordered their signature pizza to share. We also ordered the fried zucchini appetizer and the spaghetti bolognese which came with a side (Minestrone soup) There was complimentary bread and butter for the table - it was soft and fluffy on the inside and had a nice crust. But it came out cold. Would have been better if it was warmed up. Fried zucchini: well breaded, came with ranch. Portion size was ok, not too big but not too little either. But quite expensive at $11 for an appetizer that did not WOW the table. Minestrone Soup: average, quite salty, given it is early in the evening, the soup should not be this salty whereas the end of the day usually means the soup has been reduced and concentrated by warming/simmering. Spaghetti Bolognese: plenty of meat in the sauce and pretty tasty as well; but the biggest flaw was that the spaghetti was way overcooked. Huge negative for an Italian restaurant - the base/pasta of your dishes should be perfect and this was far from Al dente. Petrillo Signature Pizza: loaded with toppings, they did not cheap out with the toppings and pretty tasty as well; however, another big flaw was that the dough was dry and dense - the dough did not rise. The yeast in the dough was either non-existent or was not given enough time to rise and create the fluffy dough and crust texture of a typical pizza. We basically got dense flatbread. As this was the signature pizza, it was quite disappointing. Service: Average, nothing great. The servers came by a couple times only after the food came out. Could have really stopped by a couple more time to check in. Rating: 2 stars Review summary is based on mainly food quality as the quality of the food, attention to detail, and execution all was very subpar. Given the kitchen was not super busy on a Saturday evening, the poor quality leaves much to desire.
