Pretty basic pizza. Solid choice to feed the entire family. We placed order online to pickup 30 minutes later. Got the medium for total-total (after fee's) of 24 bucks. Decent size actually, looks like pizza hut large. Heavy, so you'll fill up. They give a lot of pepperoni. Cheese is good amount, it's cooked a bit more than my liking. Bread is a little too doughy and too baked for my liking. I use extra marinara at home to dip. The hubby enjoyed the whole thing though. read more

When football season starts, there is only place to visit for great food and service, it's Rio's Pizza in South El Monte. We came in back on September 21st around 2pm to get that amazing pizza. It is the best pizza hands down how good it is. Our server was Sammuel V and he is always taking excellent care of us and providing great service. It can definitely fill up quick with tables watching the game so be advised. Plenty of tv's around and great energy. Rios Pizza has quickly become one of my go-to spots, mainly because of their wings. My second time ordering Rio's Pizza for take out. The restaurant itself looks clean and spacious. The online ordering is super simple and the pizza is always hot and ready and on time. You can tell quality ingredients have been used. The crust is chewy with a good crisp. I usually skip the crust but I find myself eating Rio's Pizza crust ....so good! The cheese is super cheesy and tasty and the toppings are very generous! Honestly what made me want to write this review is how delicious the wings were! Cooked perfectly, meaty witha bit crisp. Best Pizza in the San Gabriel Valley! This is an update on my previous post. I finally went in today to Rio's Pizza South El Monte and let me tell you it did not disappoint! Pamela was so nice it was a pleasure meeting her and her daughter Paloma! Mozzarella sticks were bomb! Pizza was DELICIOUS!!! Let me tell you they are generous on the toppings the crust was delicious too! My kid pulled a slices off and said "Mom it looks like the commercials with the cheese!" We had the pepperoni pizza two slices in and we were stuffed!! Skip Domino's and instead order from Rio's! They even have a DJ on Sunday afternoons.! Don't sleep on this place go and try it. We love Rios Pizza! We actually live closer to a certain Pizza Company in Hacienda Heights but would rather order pick up at Rio's in El Monte. The pizza crust is thick (not too thick) and crispy and soft. The cheese and sauce ratio is perfect. My husband really likes the toppings, he says they're really hearty. We love the wings too! They also have "happy hour" weekday specials from 4-7. We always order take-out and haven't had a chance to try it, but hopefully soon. Shout out to Sam, who is super friendly. So glad they opened this spot in our little city. Have needed a pizza parlor like this one. They pizza is delicious and they offer all the favorite toppings us pizza lovers ask for. It's not often that I come across good wings. Rio's Pizza has one of the best wings I've ever had. The buffalo and mango habanero had the perfect amount of sauce and the chicken were perfectly cooked. It was still yummy the day after!
