Had cole sport mount my skis at the beginning of the season. Half way through the year my rear binding just slid off while I was in intense terrain. They fixed the issue without to much fuss and I was fine with the whole situation. Then this week my whole entire mount literally came off of the ski while doing a traverse at Alta. Cole sport was very rude when I brought the ski in and were in no rush to help solve the problem. I will never be going to this place for a mount again. We have been customers at Cole's for over a decade. I don't know what happened to the service, they used to be so friendly and helpful, now they are rude and dismissive (except for Trey, he is always helpful, but wasn't there). We rented demos like we often do and bought ski boots too. When I asked if I could leave my skis to get waxed, Jim said it would be $15 but I would have to get them the next morning. The next morning Jim said it would be $25 not $15 and "nothing is that cheap". Ok, we paid, then asked Jim if he could adjust the bindings for our new boots. He said that they didn't have the equipment to do it?! So we ended up taking the boots and skis to CHRISTY'S SPORTS. The guy was very nice and adjusted my bindings for free and laughed that the guys at Cole's lied to me about not being able to adjust my bindings. We were Cole's customers, but ended up getting helped by the guys at CHRISTIES. In addition, my skis were not properly waxed even at $25 I don't think they even waxed them!!! read more

I have my first upcoming ski trip in Park City, Utah, so I needed outfits for the trip. I lucked out by finding Cole Sport's website and calling in, because they placed me on the phone with a girl named Tiffany and she was beyond helpful - she spent probably a full hour on the phone with me walking me through all options in the store that would fit my size and also that would please my taste based on what I told her I was looking for. She sent me pictures, pricing, brand name, etc of each item. As a result, I probably spent more than I planned to because she sent me so many amazing options, but it was 100% worth it - I saved on time in terms of shopping in store and in terms of her expertise helping me to quickly know what is best for my upcoming trip. She was so nice, not pushy at all, and she helped me pair together two solid outfits (pants, jacket, beanies) for my upcoming trip. She mailed everything out that day + free shipping. I have to give a shout out to Michael at the Cole Sports shop at Deer Valley (Silver Lake Village to be precise). I knew that I had a canting problem with my current ski boots (purchased in Europe, not at Cole) and Michael: assessed the problem accurately; addressed the problem expeditiously; and maintained a level and frequency of communication that I really appreciated. I would not hesitate to purchase ski boots from these guys and recommend an "alignment" check any time and anywhere you decide to buy that kind of equipment. I'm not only skiing better, but the reduction in muscle fatigue is amazing. I may be the odd duck, but I think there are more folks like me out there. Again, great job Michael!!! read more

This review is for the Silver Lake Village location of Cole Sports, close to the Sterling Express lift and the Silver Lake Lodge. I went there this morning to rent/demo two lengths of a specific ski. Mike and the other staff members were knowledgeable and very helpful. In addition to the two pairs of skis I'd planned to try, I added a third based on their recommendations. I learned a lot--very much appreciated. It was an easy, convenient rental process, and a beautiful day to be testing skis--fresh snow over Deer Valley's usual great grooming. Thanks! read more

I was on vacation in Deer Valley and needed to buy some new Googles. I was told to go to Cole Sports as they were the experts. So... I went and purchased them and used them for several days. I was very happy until I swapped out lenses to use on a very cloudy flat light day. When I installed the extra lens, I noticed it had an issue. I went back to Coles (about a week after the original purchase) and spoke with Drew and he was a total pro and resolved my issue without question. I feel most people would have given me the runaround and pointed fingers telling me I caused the issue. Not Drew. As a result of the great service, I am a customer for life with Cole Sport!! read more
