Coles is a family owned restaurant that always makes you feel welcome. It has nautical theme decor and is right off the water by a boat dock. They also host local artists paintings displayed for sale. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The portions are large and the price is affordable. The food is classic Italian seafood style. I have always enjoyed whatever I ordered here, classic and done correct. Highly recommended filet of sole or chicken francese. All entrees come with vegetables and a potato croquet.

We were in town and decided to stop here for lunch. There was big party going on, so we were asked to sit in the "outdoor" part of the restaurant, which was beautiful. We overheard the waitress say that the owner only puts out the dinner menu on Saturdays, and not the lunch menu, even if it's lunch time. (Strange!!) We didn't know this upon ordering and ended up ordering from the dinner menu. Nonetheless, I thought the food was good. The sauce on my penne was delicious, but I do think my shrimp could have been cooked for another minute or two. My fiancé ordered the fried shrimp. They were battered to perfection, but unfortunately lacked seasoning. The spinach was good, but the garlic was too overwhelming for him. Overall, it was a pleasant one-time visit.

Great place with fresh diner options. The staff is friendly. We had their Monday $6:00 margaritas that were made to order.

I had my baby shower here and everything was perfect. They were always so patient if we called, regardless of who answered the phone and were very willing to assist if we needed to go there with any further questions. Kam, the owner was great and very present and flexible to make the day run smoothly, and Lisa was also extremely helpful and understanding throughout the process. Everyone loved the food, the drinks, and went home full and happy.

I ordered the Seafood boil (Wild Crab Sauce-medium spicy--head on shrimp, mussels, crawfish, snow crab legs, corn & eggs) however when I opened the bag--they gave me potatoes as well which was nice of them to add. The smell was sooo good! The sauce was amazing. Next time I'll order it a little bit more spicier. Only thing is the crawfish were super small--could be cause wasn't in season, but I'll be back to try more of the menu. If you want seafood, come here! Definitely worth a try.

Then I tried the seafood ramen with chicken broth, It could've used a little more flavor but I added some eel sauce and it hit the spot. Finished with the small seafood broil (definitely shareable ) with shrimp mussels Dungeness crab noodles broccoli and an egg in the wild crab sauce--- didn't disappoint. We also tried the teas which they'll make to your sweetness preference. Psssst.... Super affordable as well. I'll see you there.

Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Yesterday was Mother's Day and I did not have a reservation, I randomly picked this place to have a lunch with my wife and kids. I went inside and since I didn't have reservations they suggested outdoor dining instead and we were perfectly fine with that. The sun came out and it was absolutely beautiful view, between the boats and water and houses near by I really enjoyed the scenery. We sat near the water; since there were other tables available towards the back for people who didn't want to sit close to the edge. It is kid friendly and has space to accommodate big parties with reservations ahead of time. We were 4 and got seated right away after walking outside the dining area for indoor. Valet parking is included with the restaurant and that was nice since it was busy and the parking lot is shared with boaters and others just enjoying the area. We ordered coke , Shirley temples and one of their special margaritas for drinks. Unfortunately the coke was not tasting the way it was supposed to, it had a bitter taste maybe it was flat, maybe the server gave us diet but we got it replaced 2x and still not difference between the replacement cokes. We all got Shirley temple's instead. Service was pretty good, server helped us take our order and then had bus boys pick up our dishes as we finished them. We had blue point oysters, little neck clams, and the lobster & crab sliders - they were to die for "delicious" as main entree we ordered the stuff chicken breast and the filet of sole franchise; both were delicious and highly recommend!! Side of broccoli robe to go with our meals. There is no Apple Pay, bring physical credit cards or cash.
