Cute, cute, cute!!! I've been dying to come here since I moved to the area during the pandemic. I walked over this morning and I was delighted to see that there was a line outside. They only allow 2 patrons inside the store. When it was my turn I went in and I was pleasantly surprised on the interior. The white tile looked beautiful with the fresh bread and pastries on top. The back drop of the shop is a huge glass pane that looks into the actual bakery portion of the shop where they make all their goodies! I had a hard time deciding what to get (because I wanted everything). I finally settled with a raspberry fruit tart (10/10) and a small chrochetlte (?? Unsure of the spelling). They were both delicious, I had a hard time saving a bite for my brother because I wanted to gobble them up!! I can't wait to come back here and make this place a staple in my weekend! read more

The only thing that doesn't make me absolutely ecstatic about Colette's is that I moved out of the neighborhood last year so I can't go there for breakfast every morning! I happened back over to the old neighborhood today and indulged in the deliciousness. A pate and cornichon sandwich followed by a passion flower (meringue and passion fruit pastry) made for a flavor packed lunch. Of course it was consumed before photos could be had. Colette you have been a pandemic savior. You turned the joylessness of 2020 around for me. How many times did I power through a week of work with your pastries at the end of the stick or exercise when I didn't feel like (umm all the time)? Also um croissants here $1.50 cheaper than elsewhere nearby and 150x better. read more

First time checking out this bakery although I've driven past it a million times. Formerly Italos bakery. Although not the same type of bakery. Everything I purchased was delicious. I purchased a plain and chocolate croissant which was so incredibly light and flaky as well as full of flavor. One of the best chocolate chip cookies I have eaten and lastly a ham and cheese croissant with a bechamel sauce. Personally the sauce had a little to much nutmeg for me but not enough that I didn't devour it. Also especially in this day and time the bakery was nice and clean and even in the way back looked spotless. This will certainly not be my last trip to Colette's. read more

Cute little French bakery with a ton of tasty pastries and breads. I stopped by yesterday towards the end of the day so most of the pastries were gone but we were able to order one of the quiches and pick up some of their fresh bread. I highly recommend coming by earlier in the day to try some of their sweets before they run out. Also, as they are quite small and are only taking in 2 people at a time, I recommend not coming in too hungry :-). read more

I bought the salami beurre sandwich and an almond-chocolate croissant (in case you, like me, can't choose between almond and chocolate). The proprietors speak French and are very nice. Colette is the real deal. Real butter, real French bakers, real French breads and pastries just like you would find in France. During my younger days, I spent a month eating my way through some fancy Parisian patisseries, so imagine my delight that Medford, MA now has a bakery equal to those in Paris! Everyone will have their own favorite items. Mine are: croissants (the true test of a great French bakery: light, airy, flaky, tender, buttery but not greasy, and full of flavor even if they are the classic plain version); Paris-Brest, full of densely delicious hazelnut cream; and the crunchy, caramelized goodness that is a Kouign-Amann (pronounced, sort of, like "queen-ah-MAHN"). Customer service was the worst bunch of rudeness I have experienced in a very long time. It seemed like they didn't want to serve us at all. If I wasn't trying to get something specific for someone, I would have left without getting anything and really regret spending $40 there. First and last time I will support this bakery and will make sure to let all our family and friends know this place is not worth the stop. Yummy ! A coworker brought in some treats and I loved the croissant so I had to come to the store to check out other items. I got a loaf of bread (sliced on the spot), croissants of course and an apple tart. I also tried a canele which was new for me. I really enjoyed everything I had. It felt authentic and the desserts are made with rich ingredients so you felt good over indulging. The workers also spoke French so it made me feel these were true French bakers at work. I love love love this local bakery already!! Only open for 5 days and I've already tried 6 of their baked goods and mmm, so good!!! A real French bakery down the street. Pain au chocolat that is beyond worth me coming out of the house to pick up. Flaky, buttery, full of warm chocolate! Just delicious giant bread loaf and smaller options of sweet bread, tarts...waiting in their neat box for my consumption later today. Stay at home..but make an exception to support this truly yummy and delicious bakery (to go!). They don't have a website yet (but it's coming I think: colettebakery.com), but have a Facebook page. Regarding covid--limiting customers to a pair at a time, using masks, gloves, have hand sanitizer, and if people lined up, spacers to mark the 6 foot distance. I read about this place about a year ago in the Medford Patch and have made a few trips here since. The baguettes are amazing. The pastry is a well deserved treat. The staff is warm and friendly and overall this is a great newish business in Medford. read more

I ordered the vegetable quiche to take away. It was nice, but at over $7 a slice seemed kind of expensive. It wasn't like it had any fancy proteins in it. Just eggs and some peppers. The crust was nice though. read more
