Very disappointed with my dinner. Ordered Beef Taquitos, they were small flour tubes with what looked like mashed chicken, no flavor at all. My beans and rice were semi warm. Enjoyed the margarita but had a lot of ice. Our server never came back to check on us so when he brought the check I told him there was no beef in my taquitos. He made no explanation but said he'd take my meal off the check. He came back and it was off but he made no apology. My friends had no complaints so guess I ordered the wrong meal. Locals restaurant with bar. Maybe try next time in town as not many options.

The people were super friendly and so was the server. But food didn't have much flavor and beans were terrible. And it's over priced for what you get. I took half my beef burrito to go and ate the rest today, while eating I found a piece of wire in my burrito. See pictures

First time here, ordered the veggie tacos. Loved it! Food, service and atmosphere is very nice. Recommend coming here, like an oasis in the desert.

Carly is quite simply and amazingly attentive and personable bar tender and server. She has a great memory too! After having been to Colina de Oro only once before, Carly knew what I was getting to drink. She also knew my business partner's drink order. The drinks are perfectly mixed. Both meals I've had were excellent tasting. Great portion sizes. The nachos grande are a friggin meal in and of themselves honestly. The fajatias were full of flavor. The veggies in the fajatias were perfectly cooked and retained the crispness I look for in a dish of this nature. The other staff and managers I have encountered were all very very helpful and professional. A couple of times I asked a question about a dish or about ingredients the the initial point of contact was uncertain of the answer; there was zero hesitation to find a staff member who was able to answer it!

We were looking for a decent Mexican food place in this remote area and found this restaurant. We ordered a margarita and two taco dishes. The margarita was delicious and perfectly blended. The tacos were exactly as we expected. Nothing was good or bad about the food. Our three stars is because it was exactly what we were expecting. If you're looking for Mexican food in this area, this place is a decent option.

Both came with salad to start with plus chips that were efficiently refilled by our server. I'm on the keto diet, so I was looking for something that would work with that and the fajitas works great especially if you avoid the sides. It was plenty with the salad, though it also comes with a plate full of rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream. The space was quiet for the most part- no TVs, or loud music. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn't too crowded. You walk in and whenever the server sees you, she'll instruct you to pick a table. The food comes fast- drinks followed by chips/salsa, followed closely by salad, and then main course. I was impressed at the steady stream of courses. They do seem to favor black pepper for their seasoning, but not to the point of it being obnoxious. I like perhaps a bit more "pop" to the flavor of the food if I'm being honest, but I generally like my food to be loud. The salsa is onion heavy (onions being the main flavor of the salsa), which would be a problem for some of my family members who are allergic. Payments are made at the table, though there is a register located at the front for takeout patrons. I was pleasantly impressed with this little restaurant and we will be coming back.

We were sat on the patio. The place is absoloutly beautiful. Clean, cozy, rustic...etc... we ordered the Street corn (good), carne Asad super burrito (amazing), seafood burrito (amazing), kids bean and cheese burrito (the best kids menu item ive ever seen, big enough for an adult and the flavor is out of this world), gringo tacos (amazing), and the pork belly tacos (sub bar). Prices are high, until you see the portions and realize every dish could be shared by two adults, so the price point is very reasonable when that is considered. Here's why I can only give 3 stars, and really it could be two stars but the dang bean burrito is honestly worth a star alone . We started feeling rushed before we were even done eating. We had ordered some drinks and planned on ordering another round and then leaving, but an employee came to us and said they had a reservation booked on the patio and should have never given us this table and asked if it was OK if we left in the next 10 minutes to accommodate that. We agreed to go with no fuss, and they weren't rude about it, nor were they really apologetic either. We left and went to another place to finish our lunch convo over some guac and margaritas. Although I understand the situation, at the end of the day we received sub par customer service. It's really unfortunate because we liked the food, other than the one dish, but as much as it costs to eat out, getting rushed off your table is just bad customer service.
