Just moved to Nashua and had to check this little spot out! Tiny establishment. Cash only. Seafood chowder and corn and bacon chowders were both amazing. Ok, first of all. I am PRETTY obnoxious about being born and raised in the greatest city in the world, NYC. So I let that little detail linger on in my reviews of restaurants because I have pretty high standards when it comes to food. But let it be known that, I am temporarily living in New Hampshire for a year-long internship, so I have set my high standards aside to see how the local people of NH do it. Well, here goes one of my first five-star reviews for the granite state! Thank you Collins for showing me what a REAL New England Clam Chowder is. The chowder had HUGE chunks of clam, was super creamy, and the veggies in it had just the right amount of texture in such a creamy soup. I was in and out of there quick even though it was around lunchtime when I arrived. I paid less than $7 for a pint-sized chowder with a mini warm baguette. Service was incredibly friendly, and the owner made it a point to call me my name (was wearing a name tag)! Highly recommend. Hope to come back and try their other soups/stews! read more

Since we discovered Collins Brothers a few years ago, anytime my husband or I have a weekday off in the colder months we go pick up two quarts of soup. All of the soups we've tried (and we've had most of them) are excellent. You can't go wrong. Plus, the service is quick and the servers are kind and respectful. Their days/hours are limited, so check the hours before you go. And be prepared to take out (no seating) and pay with cash. read more

I'm not a soup fanatic by any means and even less of a seafood fan but I was dragged to Collins Brothers by some family and was forced to try their clam chowder. (many times tried it before and hated it.) The chowder was absolutely amazing. I didn't care what seafood was in it i devoured it looking for more. If youre a soup fan or even if you're not but are looking to expand your tastes a little bit I must highly recommend this place. read more

This is hands down the BEST soup I've ever had! I am not a big soup eater but one visit here for a quick lunch at work and I'm hooked. And the customer service is fantastic! We placed a large order for all the office, and they gave us 2 wrong soups, understandable with the size of the order we placed, I ran back with the wrong soups, just looking to exchange it. I went in and they gave me the correct soups, let me keep the incorrect ones and gave me 2 cookies and a piece of corn bread! They couldn't have been nicer about it. I've never stepped foot in the place, but co-workers make regular soup runs. It's by far the best soup I've had in Nashua, I haven't had one yet that wasn't great. My favorite is the Hungarian Mushroom. read more

Best soup in town. Also great comfort meals...shepherd's pie, meatloaf, pot pies, etc. Their seafood and fish chowders and garlic bread are to die for. Only open Weds (fish chowder day) - Saturday. This is the best soup I have had in my life! Collins Brothers reminds me of the fantastic little takeout-only delis and restaurants in NYC. You're in and out in three minutes or less, the staff are super friendly and always bustling, and the food is fresh and delicious. They're generous with samples, which only makes it harder to decide. It's cash or check only, but the prices are amazingly low considering the freshness and quality of the ingredients. They sell a variety of soups as well as refrigerated meals ready to heat, so there's something for everyone. Their website clearly displays their hours, everyday menu, and daily specials, so it's easy to plan ahead. It's also a quick walk from downtown, so it's very convenient.
