Collins Brothers keeps my Jeep in great condition. My Jeep is a 92 YJ and though the motor has required very little maintenance, Jeep owners know that clutches, belts, starters, water pumps and transmissions etc can be a constant pain in the ass. Their parts and labor prices are always reasonable, and they're Jeep specialists. I admire the constant restoration that goes on in this shop. A constant line of CJs, YJs and TJs . Initial order was for a ground hoist system for my 4drJK. Walk-in order purchase. Great team of helpers in store for sure! $500 later, order came in within a couple days and I took it home with about 2.5 hrs of assembly and I was set! Very proud and excited from the jump! 3 rotations later the COG pulley stripped and no more hoisting for me. I contacted Barrett via phone and email with pic descriptions for clarity (5/18/17). Was told that management would look into process. No response after a week and I decide to follow up the call and email again (5/22/17). Response was "I am waiting on a response from our dealer. I should have a response tomorrow." I finally decide to follow up again and had yet to receive a response (5/31/17). I'm typing this on (6/4/17) and as I scroll through my call logs/emails there seems to be no help in sight. I'll take the necessary steps to resolve the issue or simply purchase an alternative pulley but will definitely avoid recommending Collins Bros Jeep because of my unsavory customer service experience. Kevin what a wonderful honest, kind and knowledgeable professional. On a moments notice he got my old (23 yr old) resurrected Jeep Wrangler a new frame and roof cover. You are not going to get cheap work done here, but the work you get is solid and guaranteed (trust me, I put them to the test for sure). Things don't always go smooth in the classic jeep business, but all of my complaints have been settled without question from this crew. I'm a local and you can tell by the quality of my Scrambler. Ordered & paid for two NEW shock brackets, but only one bracket was new, the other was rusted and used. Was told $30 would be credited to my account, but they only credited $20. Was subsequently asked to submit a review of my experience with their business, which I did (similar to this one) and that review was never posted and I never heard from them again. Not very helpful when looking for parts, new or used. I have an older jeep and I find that some newer parts will work on it out right or sometimes will maybe need some slight alterations. I find that if your jeep does not fall between the years they deal in, their response is either not to help you or just state that they dont have anything for that year and make no suggestions to try to help. And if they tell you they'll call you back when they look for the part you need, don't hold your breath because they won't call. I bought a steering shaft from them when I converted to power steering, they said that the shaft would not work on my jeep year. I made it work without sacrificing safety or the integrity of the shaft. And that was 3 years ago and the shaft is still working great. read more

Bought a Healey 3000 off E bay from this guy, described as straight, no accident damage , in response to a direct question from myself who knows the Mark well. Arrived 3 months later in the UK and it is totally bent!! Completely misrepresented as by lifting the bonnet/ hood any idiot could see the damage. Needs a massive front chassis rebuild. Service Manager Kevin seems to have a sense of entitlement, and has zero customer service skills. Very disappointed to reaction to helping identify an issue. One would think with years of experience with Jeeps, that he would be more helpful. The owners wife was very concerned about my experience, and was to turn over to the owner. Obviously, he doesn't care about customer service either. I never received a follow up call. So, I took the jeep to Christian Brothers Automotive. They drove, identified the issue and repaired. Picked up Jeep and my vehicle could have NEVER been test driven after being worked and NOT NOTICED THERE WAS A PROBLEM! Dennis: 'Kevin doesn't get complaints' & it 'was unfortunate I heard 'that' (the way he talked about a customer at the front desk AND never had that happen to a Jeep we worked on' (referring to the poor work done on my Jeep.) I purchased a CJ spare tire relocator for a 1947 CJ2a that I am restoring. They acted like the kept it in stock when I ordered it and was told that they did not. They did not keep anything for a CJ2a in stock. I was told there would be a 20% restock fee for store credit only. I just wanted a refund, so I would be stuck with a store credit at a place that does not keep parts for Jeep. The manager would not work with me. I caught them in several lies during the purchasing and attempted returning conversations for this part. I would stay away from this place. Jeep people are normally understanding and honest. I was in town for a few days and went shopping for Jeep parts/accessories. A friend recommended this place because their website mentioned that it deals with all models of Jeeps. Not much on a display inside but I did ask about if they had any accessories for a Jeep XJ. They told me that they do not deal with XJ's. now that is disappointing. They're website is deceiving. They do not deal with all models of Jeeps. It made my visit to that area a disappointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Just for that reason. read more
