I came here to have my tints done by Chad who is only available on Wednesdays. I was extremely disappointed with the results - I had lint and air bubbles on my tints as well as creases when I picked up my car. Chad told me to wait a week to see if they would go away. After some time, the bubbles and creases didn't go away so I brought it back. Immediately after I showed Chad my issues with the tint, he claimed that it wasn't his work because he's been doing this for 25 years and he doesn't leave creases or lint on tints. This was funny because he is the only guy there that does tints on Wednesdays at this Bumper Doc location AND I recognized him from when I dropped off my car for tints. As soon as Chad denied that this was his work it was a huge RED FLAG! I knew that I wasn't even worth letting him redo my tints so I asked for it to be peeled off and refunded. The professional thing to do is apologize instead of denying it - so my instinct told me to take my business elsewhere which I recommend to those looking to get tints here. Even after peeling off the tints they left my windows dirty in which I had to clean myself. Also, I had made an appointment in which they promised to have my tints removed within 2 hours but it wasn't done until 4 hours later! False hopes and promises here! Had a chip in my window last year, came to these guys after a coworker suggested them, did a great job for less than half what Safelite quoted me. A year later a got another chip in my windshield so I went back to Bumper Doc, not only did their prices stay extremely reasonable, their service is top notch. They touched up the old repair even though it was still perfectly fine, and the new chip is almost invisible. I've also been back for window tint on both my wife and I car plus dent removal, all work is perfect. No bubbles in either car and it's like I never opened my wife's car door into a pole. If my wife reads this I'm sorry I deceived you, yes it was me who dented it, but at least I brought it here and got it fixed... Forgive me. read more

I just wanted to take a minute to let others know how impressed I was by the work that Ryan, Buddy and all the guys at Bumper Dr. did for me. I went to see Bumper Dr. when my car was the victim of a hit and run in the parking lot of a nearby Home Depot, I had a few door dings as well so I figured it was about time to get all of the repairs taken care of. FIrst, when I got there the shop was clean and in order and I was taken care of immediately on arrival. I was given an estimate that was literally thousands of dollars less than a traditional body shop so I thought I'd give it a shot. The job was finished earlier than expected and the job was flawless. I have to say, watching the guys do their thing I now feel that they are more artists than a body shop. They work on such small sections at a time and use tools that I've never seen before and before you know it, they're done with one section and on to the next. I've been to the BumperDoc in Santee before for my window tint, and the guys there did such a great job, that I knew BumperDoc would be my new go to for anything car related I couldn't do myself. So when I accidentally backed into a Jeep's steel bumper the other day (leaving a massive dent on my rear bumper and not so much as a scratch on the Jeep's), I was in a panic, thinking my repair would be upwards of $700; that is, until I remembered how popular BumperDoc is with my fellow yelpers. I looked up this particular shop since it was closest to me, and it didn't take much convincing to see that this would be the best place to get my baby repaired. The lifetime warranty they offer on all of their work was too good to pass up. I know many independent auto body shops don't warranty their work....I didn't want to take that risk. I came in and was almost immediately helped by an employee, and I was given a quote for $500 on the spot. I scheduled an appointment with them, and came in a few days later to drop off my car and that's when I met the owner, Phillip. You can immediately tell just by talking with him that he loves what he does and is an honest man. The funny thing too was that he told me Brandon (the owner of the Santee BumperDoc) is actually his son! Good business runs in the family I guess! Anyways, he honored the $500 initial estimate and promised the bumper would look like new again. Not only did he say he would repair the dent, but he also offered to touch up the entire bumper as well. There were a fair amount of chips and scratches all over my bumper, so I thought that this was a nice added bonus. I came back right before closing to pick up my car, and I didn't feel rushed at all which really surprised me. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the repair. It looked as if they had simply bought me a completely new bumper and painted it exactly like my car's color. I don't know how they did such a fantastic job, but all I can say is thank you Phillip and crew for making my baby look good as new again. As they were closing up, I asked them if I could come in another day to get some missing bolts and clips for my car replaced, and Phillip straight up told me it was no big deal and got to work giving me replacements right away - even though they were closed! The emphasis on customer service here did not go unnoticed and they have definitely earned themselves a customer for life. TL;DR: Phillip and crew at BumperDoc do amazing restoration work at fair prices, and give a lifetime warranty with everything they do to boot. In addition, their customer service is unparalleled by any repair shop I've ever been to. I would not hesitate to return here for any future car body problems I might have. read more

After all the reviews here on yelp, I decided to get my side swiped Camry that was involved in a hit-and-run fixed over at Bumper Doc. The entire driver side of my car was scraped and dented. Luckily I did get the other party's license plate and had their insurance cover me for the damages. After talking with Buddy, one of the managers, he told me it would get fixed in about a week. It was as easy as cashing the check given to me by the insurance company and giving Buddy the insurance's appraisal repair estimate. They called up Enterprise to setup a rental car for me and after a week it was fixed! Looked like it was never in a fender bender to begin with! Went here for a tint, they did a great job and were very patient while we decided what tint we wanted. Very honest and knowledgeable. Didn't seem to try to rip anyone off, especially not us. I like their lobby with the fish tank and single serve coffee machine. They gave us the remote and told us to watch whatever, to make ourselves at home, which I appreciated. they estimated it would take three hours, they ended up taking an extra hour. but they did a great job and were really nice. We had an appointment at 12, we called and asked if they had anything earlier and they had us come in at 10, so I thought that was cool. Also I understand them taking another hour because they had so much business. Just in case any employees are reading this... I just want to say even though it looked like I was pissed off I was very pleased with my tint job and your service, I just had an ear ache from hell. read more

I went to Bumper Doc this morning to have my windows tinted in my new Chrysler 300. I showed up a little bit early (7:30 AM) and sure enough, Michelle was there to greet me with a nice smile. I have never tinted windows in a car before so Michelle was very knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't make up my mind and I believe Michelle (Business Development) could tell I was a little stumped on which "Shade" I should choose so she took the time to introduce me to Phillip (Manager) so he too could take a look at my car and recommend what he felt I would be most comfortable/happy with. I chose the 40% "Shade" based on both of their opinions/advice and I could not be happier. The "Tint" Installer (sorry, I forget his name) did a really clean job on all 5 windows and took his time to walk the car with me when he was finished to make sure I was happy. The establishment was very clean and everyone was very hospitipal. After my experience today, I will now trust Bumper Doc with any car issues I may have that they are capable of helping me with. I do have to say at first I was a little skeptical of this place due to the prices and the lifetime warranty that is offered with it. So I did my studying and I got a few estimates at surrounding areas. And overall I found out this was the best priced with the best work. I took my Mercedes S class with rear bumper damage from a fender bender. And got it repaired for under $600 with a lifetime warranty. Philip and his staff were amazing and did it all in one day. Customer service gets 10 stars and I appreciate the help. I did have to tell them that I needed to be wet sanded upon delivery. But Phillip got it handled and this place is deserves five stars all the way around. read more

Amazing service even though I did not use BumperDoc. Phillip, the General Manager greeted me as soon as I came through the door and immediately walked out to view the damage to my bumper and gave me an estimate. He then proceeded to examine the whole bumper, pointed to several bubbles on the other side of the same bumper, and explained that unless he was allowed to repair and paint the entire bumper, he could not guarantee his work since the bumper had been previously painted poorly. I explained that it was a Lexus certified car and asked him if he thought that it should have been disclosed when I purchased the vehicle several months before. Not sure but he recommended that I go back to the dealership and plead my case. He also pointed out some other issues on the rear bumper and gave me estimates on those. The dealership repaired the scratch and had the entire bumpers, front and rear repainted at no cost with a free loaner car. read more

My friend had referred me to Bumper Doc for some scratches on my bumper. My car is less than 6 months old and I was nervous as to whether or not they were able to make my car look new again. I emailed Eddie for a quote and he kept his word for what he quoted me. Since the other party was responsible for the payment, Eddie made it easy and clear as to what was needed from the other party. So I brought my car in and he was flexible in having the work done when I needed my car back. When I received my car, I thought it looked brand new again. I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 because my car was told it would be ready by 8AM Monday, but when I arrive at 7:55AM, they were just opening the garage gates even though they were supposed to be open by 7:30AM. When I walked in to get my car, I was asked to wait a few more minutes for the guy to buff out the bumper. I was disappointed that I had waited for more than 10 minutes for my car to be ready because I would assume all of the buffing and such would be done before the pickup time. All in all, I would still recommend their work, but just give yourself extra time for pick up. read more

This place is great. I was referred here by Mission Hills Automotive (which is a great neighborhood garage. Affordable and reliable everything). I drive for a living and at the last inspection, they mentioned that I needed to get some scratches buffed off. I called and they said to come right in. I also needed to touch up some spots with touch up paint, so Jesse had me do that first then come back. No matter how busy they are, everyone takes the time to be super friendly. The woman who is up front looks like Selena Gomez. You should tell her that. Honest, hard working and solid are all words I would use to describe this place. Ask for Phil to do your tint and you'll be happy. Took my brand new BMW in and was a little worried because of a few bad reviews. I got in on a Groupon and really couldn't be happier with the tint job. The only reason that they don't get a 5 star rating is because the Groupon is misleading. It says you get 5 windows. Most of us think, ok, 5 windows is 2 front, 2 passenger, 1 back. However, when you get there, they tell you that the tiny triangle part of the back windows counts as 2 more windows. So to do it all they charge you another $60. Still a pretty good deal, but shady. I don't like shady. Just put it all up front so there isn't any confusion. Anyway, it's now about a month out and the tint looks great and it was cheaper that other spots, so I still gave them 4 stars. Oh, the total job took 3 hours, not 2. They have wifi that you can use. read more
