Urban Coffee lounge has been a neighborhood staple for years and years. I'm obsessed with the fact…read morethat they make their own syrups, with the exception of a few. I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Thanks for being here, urban coffee lounge!

There was a long line when I arrived around 10am on a Thursday. So if you're in a hurry either take…read moreadvantage of their online ordering or plan a head. They do have a restroom, plenty of seating outside, kinda limited seating inside. They do have a wide array of offerings. I got the spinach and feta quiche with a strawberry matcha. The spinach quiche was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed that. My strawberry matcha was not too sweet (I usually ask for everything half sweet and did not this time). The staff were friendly. Prices are reasonable for this day and age. I sat outside and enjoyed the sun! It's a great place to hang out, probably not great for groups unless you sit outside. Dogs are not allowed inside, so tie them up or have a buddy watch them while you go inside. Parking is street or under an apartment complex near by. Not sure if you pay or validate inside those apartment retail parking garages because I parked along the side streets. Park Mobile is the app you use to pay for parking. I paid about $4 ish for an hour. Overall, if I'm in the area and got the time to hangout, it's a cute place to do so.

I used to work in a bubble tea store, I know how busy and fast paced there are. Only people who really care for their customers can pay attention to such small details like they do. Try their Vietnam Style sandwich with a cup of coffee. You won't regret it.

The Ding Tea in Kirkland is paired up with 36 Streets for specialty coffee and waffles. I have…read morevisited twice now. Service is friendly taking my order (first time) but also can be distracted-hectic (second time). The interior is basic. I didn't stay. Both visits were to-go. Be aware that parts of this Juanita area, including the streets, are part of the development and is NOT regular city-parking. They are notorious for ferocious private parking meter-readers (not part of the city). Be sure to read the sign before leaving the vehicle. The Drinks and Food: Chocolate Oolong Milk Tea, $6.75(L) - 3.5 Stars The cashier said this is their most popular drinks. It still tasted quite sweet at 30% sweetness. Hubby said it tastes more like a chocolate milk. Ding it, he's right. (See what I did there.) Egg Coffee, $6.25 - 4 Stars Egg coffee is a northern Vietnamese specialty. Being in a paper cup takes away some of the charm, but such as is the U.S. lifestyle. It tasted as expected, a stronger, more roasted Viet coffee flavor. Mango Ice Tea, $6.75 - 3.5 Stars This is more of a mango drink with some tea taste - very fruity tea. Pandan Bubble Waffle, $7 - 4 Stars I came the second time mostly for this waffle. Served with whip cream and toasted coconut flake, the cashier looked at me like I grew an extra eye when I said whip cream only, no coconut. She literally didn't know how to respond to me. I am guessing they pre-pack the cream with the coconut already in it, and she didn't have time to pack another one. She handed us the bag with what we didn't want and left. I should lower the rating more, but I do like this waffle.

I didn't realize the lid wasn't completely on and when I picked it up, my entire grande frapp spilled out all over my car. I was so looking forward to it; a pre-Mothers Day treat. After cleaning up the mess, I went back to get another one. I told Johnny the story, not expecting anything but sympathy. He remembered my daughter and our orders, so knew I was telling the truth. So he comped it! Then made me the best frappucuino I've ever had (Caramel Ribbon Crunch w/ whip and a mocha drizzle). Thanks again, Johnny! Happy this is my neighborhood Starbucks - comfortable, clean interior and great location. Grab a frappe on a summer day and hop across the street to Juanita Beach!

Honestly the passive aggressiveness at this location is way too much
