I debated for a while over whether or not to write this review. Let me just preface by saying this is my experience with Cindy. I do not know how often this sort of situation happens, but it did happen to me. I did a strand test with Cindy and booked my appointment shortly after. The first time she rescheduled me, she told me it was a clerical error. Then she texted me at midnight telling me to come for my original scheduled appt the next day, then she texted me the morning of 15 minutes before my appointment and rescheduled me. After my appointment was pushed out a MONTH, it came the day of and she asked to push my appointment later in the day. I agreed and she asked to reschedule me again. At that point I was a little fed up as I had tried to be understanding, but I really wanted my hair done so she asked me to push my appt later in the day again. (Screenshots attached of her rescheduling me) When I got to the salon, I waited another 30 minutes before Cindy started doing my hair. Cindy and her assistant were very passive aggressive, complaining to me about how I was their last client and how exhausted they were, how they wanted to go home. All the while, Cindy never explained to me what she was doing and was yanking my hair which made me feel very uncomfortable. This was also my first time getting my hair done so I didn't know too much about the process. She had told me we would be doing a global bleaching (screenshot attached for proof) which is what I paid for but that is not what I got. In the end, the color was nice (although definitely not global) and to top it off Cindy did not give me any Olaplex products as she said she would. She was rushing me out of the salon and her husband was even waiting around while I finished. Overall, I had such a poor experience with Cindy due to her lack of professionalism, the whole rescheduling fiasco to her attitude. I ended up going to another salon to achieve platinum and had a much better experience in terms of both the process and the result. I know plenty of Cindy's clients and read all the good reviews but I will not be returning. read more

Cindy is absolutely the best hair stylist I've ever been to...She's actually the first to achieve the hair I was anticipating for. She's a super sweet person who helps guide you through your hair process and she's also super reasonable with her prices. I've had trouble with my hair since the last two stylists I've gone to. The toning faded quickly and the colors didn't come out as I expected. For some reason although my hair was already bleached twice the blonde didn't come through at all. But thanks to Cindy she was able to help me achieve my perfect blonde all in one session so that I wouldn't have to ever worry about orange payoff again. Her sessions are a bit long but the time you spend with her are so worth it, since she is super patient and only wants the best for her clients. If there's uncertainty in the process she'll be sure to confirm with her clients and fix any mishaps, I really admire her honesty in her work. A bit over due but I'm still in love with my hair results. I always get complimented when I'm out and about. When I first came to Cindy, my hair was definitely overgrown, I had previous dye on my hair at a another place, so it needed work especially for the new year. I told Cindy what I wanted (gave her some pictures for examples), she was honest and let me know how many sessions it would take to achieve what I wanted as well how it would look like with one sessions + more. This review is so overdue! Honestly Cindy is probably one of the first stylists that I really gone back to, to get my hair done. Although I had a few Stylists that did a pretty decent job before. Cindy knows what I am talking about when I say I do not want any brassyiness in my hair (asian hair). She is very knowledgeable. And definitely won't lie to you on what she can do or cannot do. During my last session I wanted to go silver being that summer is coming. But because my hair was very brittle due to not doing hair treatments on them. Definitely my new go-to hair stylist in the bay area!! I came across Cindy from a friend's Instagram and was a fan of her work. She does an awesome job prioritizing your hair health while still making you look fantastic. We decided to go with ashy blonde baby lights​ to add more dimension​ in my hair and get rid of some ugly random brownish red tones! My hair was super damaged from a bad bleach job (8 hours WITH HEAT) and it was breaking like crazy. This is a way long overdue review, but first off I can honestly say I trust Cindy with my hair, my life and all things around!! She has became more than just my hair stylist, but a friend as well. I've been going to her for a little over a year now, and there is no other hair stylist that I trust with my hair more than Cindy. Overall, Cindy did better than I expected! I got recommended by her by a friend about a year ago, but I was still iffy on what I wanted. I now have big plans coming up and I wanted to fix my hair asap so I decided to go with Cindy based on her pictures on social media. She replied super quickly and addressed all the questions I had! There are so many hairstylists to pick from these days, but if you want someone who is professional, meticulous, and passionate, then Cindy is the chosen one. For the past couple of years, I used to go to different hairstylists because I never found the right one. After my first visit with Cindy back in December 2017, I knew I had to go back to see her again. This review is long overdue! I've been going to Cindy since February of last year! When I first came to her, I was super blonde and had big unblended streaks in my hair from a previous stylist. Ever since, I've been going back to her, with hair cuts and tones, and she never disappoints. Recently, I got my hair done and it was super brassy and yellow ( not by her ). I went to Cindy and she worked her magic my hair came out so much better than I even anticipated. She takes time when doing your hair and makes sure you're comfortable throughout the whole process.
