Took a complete random turn into this restaurant! Expecting it to be small (it looked pretty small from the outside), but it was pretty roomy inside! The outside eating area behind the restaurant had a very pretty view of the mountains. The employees were nice, though we came at a very busy time. My husband and I ordered the bison pot pie along with the cherry pie and they were both delicious. Definitely happy he took a random turn into this place. read more

We found Co. Cherry Co on whim and stopped by on our way to Estes Park. It's so cute, and it was very popular too. It was so great that we made a stop on our way back to Denver too. We had a little issue with a latte being hot, but they remade it with no hesitation. We appreciated how fast they were going through the crowd. I'm not a big cherry fan, and even I loved it! The Cherry Cordial latte is AMAZING, by the way. Don't leave without it! Also, I have a tomato allergy and found their tomato-free cherry salsa. It was a great alterative! read more

Headed towards Estes Park, this is a must-stop along Rt. 36 in Lyons CO. They have pies that would make your momma cry, in a good way Ample gravel parking outside. Inside has a country store feel that is as welcoming as their staff. Half is a general store selling homemade pickled items, jams, jerky (bison or beef) and other local treats. Stop here on the way to/from Estes Park!!! They have a variety of juices, ciders and PIES!! I tried their Cherry Cider, not tart at all. Their pies (mixed berry, cherry, apple, or blueberry) are delicious! Order it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. By the slice or whole. It is a great (big) snack to prep for your hike or reward yourself. They also have a cute little shop in the back, in case you'd like to carry away some of their products in bigger sizes. I saw customers taking their gallon of juices or cider! They also offer chicken pot pies and cookies! Inside or outside seating. Quick windy out there. Make sure to pin it on your map next time. This isn't a typical gimmick shop/general store/tourist trap with overpriced foods and jellies you can get online. One side has wines, ciders, jellies, pickles, jerky... you name it! Great spot to drop in and get something unique. The other side is a little bakery/kitchen. I've tried the bison chili, the bison pie, the cinnamon roll, and the strawberry/cranberry smoothie. I rarely ever eat pie...but I was coming home from Estes Park and just had to stop especially because it was Christmas time! I didn't know what I should get other than maybe a cherry pie of some sort. I then saw this chocolate peanut butter pie in the refrigerator....I had to get it. Cute little dining area with just about every cherry flavored candy you can imagine, preserves of all types, hot sauces, ciders from cherry to peach to apple - nice to see a single serving bottle option too! Lots of nice local made crafted items and one of their own had written a book that you can have autographed when she is working. How cool is that? Go here for the food and cherry stuff, not for the service. They were pretty short and had attitudes when people didn't tip.....for ringing up retail items. Cookies were great, tea was ok but they over heat the water for the tea they have and it tasted a bit burned. Who would expect to find a shop dedicated to cherries in the middle of nowhere. I stopped by this little shop on the way to Lake Estes and was amazed by all of the cherry items they carried. The back room is filled with bottles and jugs of cherry juice and wine. They also have such a variety of fruit jams and honeys that you could easily find a gift for a foodie friend. I wanted to get a cherry juice to use either as a mixer or for a summer drink with sparkling water. They let me sample the bing cherry juice and the tart cherry juice. In my opinion the bing cherry had an aftertaste that I did not care for, so I went for the tart cherry juice. I also sampled some of their cherry pie which was really good. It wasn't overly sweet or too gooey with starch like much of the commercial pie filling. Overall a delicious detour...while a little on the pricey side, I would go back. read more

We were traveling from Colorado Springs to South Dakota and stumbled upon this cute cafe! "You had me at cherry!" Is what we said when we drove past and turned around. It was worth the stop! The gift shop was filled with cherry items as well as a ton of other local Colorado products. We stocked up on huckleberry saltwater taffy and cherry cider. Then we purchased a slice of cherry pie for a picnic lunch. Ever bite was heaven! Recommend and am craving some pie now! read more

When we drive by this establishment on our way into Estes Park it always seems packed. On this exit day from park we decided coffee was in order and CCC had that going for it - and PIES. Since it was early in day we picked a couple Vanilla Lattes, along with apple croissant and a bacon-egg hot pie. The Coffee was great as were out other choices. The bacon-egg hot pie was encased in what seemed to be a browned puff pastry. Easily my favorite. The employees were very friendly and we will return. CCC also has some very nice looking fruit pies that have me ready to return on next trip. They also have a bit of this and that for the travelers to shop. This was a very cool spot in the middle of nowhere. One afternoon we returned home early enough to stop by this place while it was open. We browsed around the pantry items like wines and cherries and similar. We settled on a few snacks and then went to the bakery side. I immediately went for a cherry pie slice. I didn't want to do it Ala mode since we were taking it to go but the ice cream was quite tempting. Once back at our accommodations, I grabbed a fork and dug in. WOW! Delicious. I could have eaten an entire pie! The cherry themed treats we purchased were yummy along our journey that week and offered a nice sweet treat when we were craving something and didn't have any options around.
