There was a line when we got there, and it was out the door by the time we reached the front. Inside is small up front, but there's more seating around the corner plus plenty outside along the riverwalk area. The place was clean, the staff efficient and friendly, and it's a cute spot to sit. Large coffee menu, plus sandwiches, toasts, and snacks made fresh to order. Seasonal coffees -- tried a campfire-type and a coconut-type. Both fine. Not bad, not the best I've had, and not something I'd rush back for. Breakfast sandwich on a croissant -- my biggest gripe. Utterly dry and almost tasteless. The sausage, egg, and cheese were gas-station ready-to-go territory. Their bread comes in fresh-baked, but they ran the croissant through the toaster and torched it, which only made it drier. A breakfast sandwich should be juicy, cheesy, buttery -- this one needed a sauce just to get it down. Sandwich on sourdough -- a little better, but still just okay. Fine place if you're already in the area, and the coffee's fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Would recommend, would not return.

Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.

Even though the facility is brand new, the architecture and design pay clear homage to the historic Stanley aesthetic, blending classic elegance with modern craftsmanship. It feels upscale and thoughtfully designed without losing the charm that makes the Stanley name so iconic. The gift shop alone is worth the stop. There is a massive selection of handmade chocolates, and everything is beautifully displayed. The hand-molded chocolates are true works of art--visually stunning and crafted with incredible attention to detail. Even better, they taste as good as they look. The chocolate quality is excellent: rich, smooth, and clearly made with premium ingredients. The truffles were especially impressive, offering a great balance of flavor without being overly sweet. Inside the factory, there's also a coffee shop, which pairs perfectly with the chocolates and makes it easy to linger and enjoy the space. It's a great place to relax, warm up, and take in the surroundings, especially after exploring Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park. What makes this location even more exciting is that they're still actively building and finishing additional spaces. You can tell this is going to become a major destination once everything is complete, and even now, it already feels polished and well-run.
