Hubby and I went back because we earned $10 off due to the loyalty card. When I mentioned this to our server, I was asked for the printout showing the $10 off. This is giving to you with your receipt. Apparently you are suppose to save it and bring it back. This is not attached to your loyalty card, which I find odd. I have a lot of loyalty cards and haven't came across this problem before. I did ask Krista, our server, to see if the manager would make an exception due to the fact we were not told this bit of information. The manager approved to give us the $10 off....THANKS!! We tried the Cheeseburger Dip with homemade chips. The chips were delish but the dip was a bit bland. read more

I came here about 11am on a Friday. Just looking for some food and maybe a beer or two before beginning my day after flying in from Pittsburgh. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a turkey, green chile, avocado sandwich that was phenomenal and a few beers from a local brewery. The inside appeared clean, laid back and easy going. The waitress was pleasant and had good recommendations. My girlfriend had the grilled cheese and it too was very good. It looked like they had some awesome specials on different days of the week, and it seems as though their beer club is a really cool idea as well! Ah! Man. I can't recommend this pub, although I would like to. Laid back atmosphere, nice interior and patio but their cook has no idea how to cook a burger to medium well. When ordering, I specifically asked for medium well - can't stand red/pink hamburger. The food was presented, I cut the burger in half and it was VERY pink. I found the server and showed him. He said he would replace it. But the second burger was the same - very pink, red at the middle. I took 4 bites from the edges. When the server came to bring our bill, I asked him to take my plate away. I told him it was still raw. He looked at it and said "I have to talk to the cook." I replied that it didn't really matter now. He didn't offer to comp or split the cost (I did take 4 bites) - he just took the food away and brought back the bill - no discount, no apology. The bites of the burger were good but not good enough. Bad show. Not going back, can't recommend. read more

The food here was fantastic. The wings were good, not anything extraordinary but cheap for happy hour. The "I Heart Math" burger was the only burger I saw with 2 patties and the 1000 Island dressing made it taste like an upscale Big Mac. They do something different with their coleslaw that made it salty and delicious. The kitchen accidentally shorted us 1 wing and the server made up for it by paying for my beer. Awesome service and great response to such a non-situation. Definitely recommend the house made ginger ale. read more

We went for a small reception after a funeral, Espy was quite accommodating and gave us a semi-private room for the afternoon. The food was very good, the list of beers/ciders/meads and even hard seltzer water on tap was extensive! The atmosphere is nice and comfortable a place to let down! Our waiter Matt was super attentive, excellent service! The fries are incredible get some with smoked green chili and cheese! Great atmosphere and location. Ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger cooked medium and it was waaay overcooked. I don't think there's any jalapeños on it either, not even the slightest kick. Lastly, I was one of three people sitting at a 10-seat bar and waited about ten minutes for another beer. Great beer selection but it must flow like molasses. GREAT beer menu- changes so you can always try something new. If you can't decide on a beer, get their beer sample that you get to choose what beers you want on it. The food has always been really good- but fairly expensive for what your getting. The patio is really nice so try to sit outside if you can. I hate to do this, because we have been regulars at this place since it opened and often chat with the owners, but I have to downgrade my initial review for several reasons. On the beer side, it's still five stars for selection and the overall concept. There's a lot to like about Colorado Plus in general, and I'm really pulling for it because the owners are nice and I think it's a great addition to the neighborhood. But here's why we (and some other people we know in the area) went from going 1-2 times a week to once a month: - Their beer prices have gone up noticeably. The $8 flight went to $9 and is now $10. Most of the individual beers are above $5 for a 10-ounce tulip. I understand that they're somewhat at the mercy of the breweries they get beer from, and if this were the only issue then it wouldn't be a big deal. But read on.., - The prices for their own beers are ridiculously expensive. We're talking $7-$9 for a tulip glass of their beer. When they first started making their own beer last year it was closer to $5 a glass. While they've had some hits, there's no way they should be charging this much when you can go to 100 other places and get better beer for less money. The growler prices for the beers they brew are laughable. $36?!?!?!? I understand they are a nano brewery and therefore don't benefit from economies of scale. However, it really rubs me the wrong way when you charge such a high amount for average beer, regardless of your cost structure. It's kind of insulting. - They're trying to do way too much with their food, and they're charging a premium for it - yet not executing on a consistent basis. I'm not a fan of paying downtown Denver prices for dinner way out in Wheat Ridge. I've had great meals and terrible meals at Colorado Plus, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the inconsistencies. In my book you can't charge $13-$20 for an entree that is sub-par. We always seem to spend $60-$80 for dinner for two with a couple drinks and end up leaving feeling unsatisfied. - The service can be atrocious. We literally left one night because we sat on the patio for 20 minutes before getting menus. Sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes to get your beers. We gave them the benefit of the doubt over the past year, but at this point it's getting annoying. To sum it all up, we've had sticker shock, bad service and so-so food too many times. Colorado Plus is pricing us and others in the neighborhood out, which is unfortunate. I have a feeling that others are noticing these issues too, because the patio used to be packed most of the times I drove by but now it's rare to see more than a couple people out there, even at 5 or 6 on a Friday night. My goals isn't to bash the place, it's to hopefully provide some feedback that can help them win back customers like me on a regular basis. read more

This is the perfect pub for Colorado craft beer lovers (IT'S ALL THEY SERVE!). Owned and operated by Wheatridge native Eugene Kahn, it is truly amazing that we've gone this long without a pub like this. 56 craft beers on tap, all Colorado craft brews! The beef for the burgers is local from aspen ridge and ground on site daily. Everything about this place screams Colorado in the best way possible. This place is great and from what I've tried, I'm excited... I think their beers might prove to be very tasty as they continue to brew. However, only 2 vegetarian options for food???? Really? Get with the game. Vegetarians are everywhere... but they won't be coming to the brew pub if you don't get more options. There are several great brew pubs in the denver area with vegetarian food. If they had more veg options, I probably would have given it a 5-star rating. Step it up. read more

Admittedly the service used to be a bit spotty but we have had great service the last 3 times we have been in. The manager is also a really nice guy and super helpful. We went here since it was a new place in the hood. We really wanted it to be good, but were very disappointed. It seems like it was a place founded and ran by people who love beer, but lack experience in the service industry. We seated ourselves pretty much in the bar area and it wasn't very busy with plenty of staff available. It took about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, and get us menus. Another 5-8 minutes to take our drink order. And then another 5 minutes to get the beer. Not too bad of wait times, but I've had much better. As we were reviewing the menu for food, the bartender was conversing with a couple next to our table. They were from out of town and he was providing them with info about tourists spots and activities. He barely acknowledged us at all as we kept looking over ready to order. He continued to brag about his "knowledge" of beer and once he found out they were from Tennessee he went off on his "whiskey knowledge." Still without acknowledging us. I understand being friendly with customers and that is fine, but you cannot completely ignore your other customers so you can try to show-off your knowledge of beverages. We were pretty much finished with our first beer when the bar-back finally came over to see if we wanted to order food as the bartender continued hanging out at the table next to us. At this point our reply was "not anymore" and we paid our tab and left. The interesting part was that we went to a bar back in our neighborhood and overheard some people nearby discussing a bad experience at some new spot. They commented on the poor service and experience they had. They mentioned it was a place that had about 55 beers on tap - then I finally asked if it was Colorado Plus and they said yes, only to validate what we had experienced. The food could be good, but unfortunately, we didn't have an opportunity to try it. Not sure if we want to go back, there's plenty of other places to try still. read more

Weekends they are packed...we showed up and finally were spoken to when my husband's timer hit 12 minutes. We would've left at 15. Yes. They were slammed. If you are Jewish, Muslim, 7th day...be weary of them Not holding the bacon on busy nights. Our waiter merely shrugged his shoulders...sucks to be you...you ordered without bacon but here we are, at an impasse. We also had the 5 /3oz. sampler glasses of colorado brewed beers really great choices on the menu . Went here the other night for dinner, since it was close by and haven't been here before since they opened. I had the 3 slider plate(buffalo, lamb and bratwurst) and my partner in crime had the adult macaroni and cheese. My sliders were pretty bad. They buffalo and lamb was over cooked and the bratwurst seemed undercooked, pair that with overly salted fries :/ I tried the adult mac and cheese too and that didn't seem very tasty either. So not sure if I want to give this place another try or not. read more

He mumbled hello and put down the menus. He came back quickly to take our drink order. I ordered a beer sampler so he brought the tray over for me to write down the beers that I wanted and then never came back. We sat there patiently for 20 mins while other servers just hung out in the front of the restaurant and our server was no where to be seen. I was disappointed. I have been here twice. The first time I went they were doing a fixed BBQ menu which was pretty good. The second time I went they had their full menu which was above average for sure. Their beer selection is really solid and it seems to rotate pretty regularly as there were different beers on tap between my first and second visit. What is more exciting is that the beers they have on tap are actually all good. So whoever is making those calls clearly knows their beer. If you are reading this - stop. Stop now and go here! Seriously. This is a hidden gem. Don't let the area or exterior fool you. Most important first: the food is very good and the beer (on tap) selection is extensive and diverse. The food is really tasty, is prepared well and they to use quality, fresh, local Colorado ingredients. I think they said their menu is something like 96% scratch prepared. We tried the BBQ burger and pulled pork sandwich. Both were surprisingly good. We had their fries and a salad as sides - both were surprisingly good. I'm a burger guy but almost wished I got a salad because of how well a side salad was... The dressing on the salad was probably the best we've ever had in a restaurant. They have something like 56 beers on tap and a really good variety. They do a nice job with the menu with color coding and categorizing to help you pick! We started with a beer flight - a customizable, 5 beer sampler. The interior is well done and was a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a good meal. They have a nice patio area (where dogs are welcome), an open air next to the patio that was nice because it was in the shade but still had the fresh air breeze and plenty of indoor seating. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the door by a really nice guy who seated us. Our server was friendly and helpful. Why are you still reading this!? Go already! First of all, let me say how excited my hubby and I are to have this place open so close to us. Great beers, awesome design/decor, super friendly owner...however, there are a few kinks to be worked out. We've been twice, our first visit was great, but service was lacking on our second visit. Both visits were spent out on the great patio, sharing tables and chatting with other locals and we even ran into our next door neighbors. Love, love that this place is keeping business (and money spent) in our 'hood! The patio could use a little shade or a noise break from 38th, and perhaps a bike rack. We rode up last time and fortunately we got a table on the patio, so we could leave the bikes with us, but if we hadn't, I am not sure where we would've locked the bikes up. So, the service. Not sure if it is because we were outside but it took forever to get noticed by a server and every time we ordered something it took a very long time for her to return...and when she'd return she would often have forgotten to bring something we had asked for. The place didn't appear to be understaffed, they had a lot of help, in fact, at one point I went inside to use the restroom and there were about 6 servers all chilling out and chatting by the kitchen entrance. The menu looks amazing and we tried a few items. The chicken slider was so-so...great flavor but pretty dry. The pork slider was amazing! Housemade chips were super delish. Fries were great too, but we asked for regular, not truffle fries, and you could still taste a bit of truffle oil on them. Not sure if they use the same bowl to season all orders and there was a bit left from a previous order? It was a big turnoff for me because I'm just not a fan of truffle oil. All in all, a great first trip and a mediocre second trip. I think some kitchen/service issue need to get worked out. We will definitely be back again and keep trying things. Again, so very happy to have new business on the Ridge. I will update my review after future visits. read more
