First time customer of Colorado wok. I ordered two lunch specials. The orange chicken was crispy and flavorful with little to no spice if you're sensitive to that. Next was the shrimp and lobster sauce. Shrimp was cooked well and tasted fresh. Also the peas and carrots had a great crunch and texture. The service was great and they allowed me to order it to go but sit down and eat some since I knew I wouldn't finish. Staff were friendly and prices aren't outlandish. 6 years ago I was sick and gave them a bad review. Woe is me! Glad I went back and gave them a try. I really enjoyed their take on chicken and broccoli and hot and sour soup. I did not dine in but I thought the general vibe was very comforting and relaxed and will go with friends sometimes. It felt very inviting walking in because the staff was super friendly and the vibe of the place was real nice! This place is really for anyone: families, friends, dates, and the solo diner. I think they probably do a fair amount of take out too! As for the food! I really enjoyed it. The chicken and broccoli had a nice flavor to it and was very enjoyable. The hot and sour soup was great too! It was the best I ever had by any means but it was above your average I'd say. Come to think of it, I don't know the best I've ever had. lol. Part of the reason I went is because someone in a Facebook group was looking for Asian food suggestions. A few people from the tri-state area, I'm from New Jersey, ewwww I know (joking), were like, "There is no good Chinese food in Colorado." That's a pretty bold statement and really wrong. Colorado Wok is a tasty, great menu and chill atmosphere. I actually think we have a great selection of Chinese and Asian restaurants to choose here in Colorado, and I think it's all pretty good. I am not sure what to say about the negative reviews, but my wife and I love eating their food. Very tasty and we have ordered a wide variety of food there and always love it. We usually order carry out so I can not comment on the service. They have just finished a remodel and the interior is pretty impressive. By the way, they always have quite a few carry out bags on counter so we are not the only ones who are pleased with the place. read more

I'm really torn on this place because I feel like they have some of the better Chinese food around the area but it's hard to overlook the ridiculous pricing. A lot of menu items should probably be 30-50% less than what they charge for what you get. Plus they hit you with a processing fee and a credit card fee. This place is going downhill. The sweet and sour chicken dinner combination did not look anything like the photo that another customer posted. There are barely any vegetables in it, and they were raw. The dish wasn't mixed with the sauce that it's supposed to have. The soup was a tiny container. Not good at all and won't order here again. I asked for my tofu with mixed vegetables to be made without garlic. It had a lot of small pieces of garlic in it. Seriously!? I have an allergy. Never again. read more

I went with a party of 4. We all enjoyed their dishes. I had Broccoli with Black Mushrooms and Bamboo Shoots. The broccoli was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a really nice fresh ginger flavor. I also had Sesame Tofu which was exactly I like it, and how it should be! We were brought both brown and white rice, both of which were perfect. They were quite busy when we were there, but the server was friendly and still managed to take our order and bring our food quickly. Personally, I'd like it if in the future they would offer some clearly marked vegan items (or items marked 'vegan option available') on their menu. read more

The food is amazin, the cooks know how to make authentic cuisine. But when I called when they re-opened today on July 16th 2025 i was greeted by a snarky and rude young man, when i said hi he didnt say anything and when i asked if they are officially open he said "yes" in the most monotone voice i could hear. I told him after ill call back later to order as i was at work and just wanted to check to see if they were open, as soon as i said that he remained silent, waiting a few seconds i thanked him for his time "i appreciate you for answering" he instantly clicked the receiver. All in all i called later to a wonderful young lady on the other end who let me order my food and gave fantastic service. When i finally arrived he barely said anything not even thanking me for coming in, the other lady beside him had to, and when i asked for silverware he just stared at me till the mange gave me the silverware. summed up the young man with the blonde hair is very rude and has no cus service, but the food and everyone else was fantastic read more

First of all, I have been ordering at this restaurant for over 10 years. The prices are reasonable for what you used to get,but our last delivery was over $50. We ordered the same thing year after year... however the portions this time did not feed three people. In the past, we have always had ample leftovers, even after feeding four people. I noticed the containers have a different shape than they used to. However, the manager of the restaurant insisted that they are the same, and that I was mistaken. After talking to her for 10 minutes, she insisted that I was wrong. I would bet my life on the fact that we got roughly half of what we normally get. But these people will not budge. $50 worth of food should feed three or four people no problem and like I said we have always had leftovers. That said, for a customer of 10 years, I was dumbfounded, by the fact that she would not budge. I don't complain often... But this place I am staying away from from now on. Here is a picture of what they called their 24 ounce container. their old container went straight down from the top. Running a business in this day and age, requires somebody in a management position to do whatever is necessary to please the customer, she made absolutely no effort. I mean zero effort to make things right with us. It's been a long time since business has gotten my blood boiling as bad as she did. I was blown away. It would be great if somebody out there had one of the old containers that they used to ship their entrées in... Because I would bet my life on the fact that these are much smaller. I told her I'd be happy paying an extra $10 if I was getting the same meal each time, but cutting the portions down, this drastically should be criminal for what they're charging. read more

Was pretty much caught off guard by the staff person who berated me because I didn't check my phone to confirm the order I had just picked up was incorrect. When I ordered on line everything was correct and the order was approximately $33.00. Somehow the order got changed to pork Chow Mein, which I don't eat pork. My problem is I don't need someone representing the restaurant where I am picking up my food from getting in my face and and yelling at me. I live quarter mile from this establishment and hadn't been there in awhile because food hadn't agreed with me. I ordered 65$ worth of food at 5 pm on a Tuesday. We waited to call just to get that the delivery guy was out for delivery. Got a text from their delivery status app at 8:44 that said delivering. I never received my food and waited over three hours for it. I called back saying I never got it and the lady on the phone was very rude and refused to give me a refund even tho I waited over three hours and never got my food. After picking up an online order I realized that we were given smaller portion sizes than what we ordered and completely missing a side of rice. When I went inside to get the correct order instead I was met with hostility and an argumentative staff. Obviously getting no where with the staff, I called the manager on the way home who decided that arguing was the best course of action and instead insisted that the smaller container was more food. Colorado Wok has ruined us for anywhere else.   My dining companion becomes bored with repetition.  Not only that, but he really is the pickiest thing.  He has found something to dislike about most of the places we've eaten. But not Colorado Wok.   Small portions disappoint and do not satisfy my companion. Colorado Wok never disappoints, and he always leaves happily sated, with a leftover box for the next day.  (He also says Colorado Wok's food is the only food that tastes as good the next day!)   In addition, the prices are surprisingly affordable, in an area where many restaurants are fairly pricey. No matter what we order, the food is CONSISTENTLY prepared and presented.  How do they do that?   The poultry and meat taste tender and fresh.  The vegetables taste like they are right from the garden.  (Turns out, they are!  The owners grow the vegetables organically in their home garden.)  The flavors are so darn good.  My mouth is filling with saliva, as I type this.  (That's autonomic - you can't fake it!)  Another thing I appreciate is that the food stands on its own flavor and is not heavily salted.  My cardiologist appreciates that, too! My family and I have enjoyed many dishes, sometimes in the restaurant, sometimes via take out and sometimes with home delivery - which has been surprisingly quick (though I imagine that is subject to staffing and demand.) Ordering online is easy, and there are clear pictures of each item.  (I wish all restaurants would do that.)   Our favorites include: chow fun, dumplings, lo mein, scallion pancakes, eggrolls, Thai curries, various chicken, fish and beef dishes.  My companion and son-law both agree that the fried rice is THE best they have had and they always order a dinner combo that includes it.  My daughter delights in the boba, and when my body desires simpler fare, I can always get something steamed.  It's easy to steam too little or too much.  But Colorado Wok does it so ingredients are tender, but still so flavorful. I have to admit my favorites at this time are the tofu red curry, which comes in a big bowl with lots of fresh veggies, and a separate big bowl of rice.  (You can choose white or brown - I get brown.)  The flavor of this curry is indescribably delectable. I have tried to replicate it at home - unsuccessfully.  And then, there is the thing I could eat all day, every day - the egg drop soup.  Before Colorado Wok, I always thought egg drop soup was fine.  I could take it or leave it.  But Colorado Wok takes it to a new level.  I don't know what they do to it to make it taste the way it does - but it is truly happiness-making.  (I probably shouldn't tell you this, because I really want it all for me.  Oh, well...) We usually don't have room for dessert, but on birthdays, we make room, and their desserts possess the prerequisite decadence.  As a bonus, the fortune cookies are never stale, and they generally have good fortunes in them - even if you don't add "in bed" to the end.   I am disabled and this restaurant is easily accessible.  There is ample parking and the bathrooms have just been renovated, so they are sparkly and new.  The restaurant is clean and generally low key.  The tasteful instrumental muzac plays softly, and it is easy to have a conversation over dinner.  Though there is usually a steady stream of people picking up takeout orders, it is not disruptive, because they are not in the dining area.  Best of all - yes, even better than the egg drop soup - is the service.  Yuki and her staff are sincerely welcoming, kind and attentive - without being obtrusive.  Drinks remain filled as long as we want, and we are never rushed out of the restaurant. In addition, if we need a modification, as long as we ask for it in advance, they always do their best to oblige. The staff at Colorado Wok make you feel like honored family returning home.  And after just a few visits, they even remembered what we loved most.  Their food is singular and combined with the service, it is simply irresistible.  (And no, I have not been paid to write this review, but if I were, I would ask to be paid with a vat of their egg drop soup!) read more

Ordered take out lunch special and portion size was very small. Compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the area this is one of the priciest and not that much of an outstanding place. Lo mein is very basic, just noodles and chicken is very chewy. Egg rolls are also not that fantastic. Nice crispy outside but inside is mush and only has a couple cabbage and carrot strands. They also sell egg rolls individually for a little over 3$ which is think is ridiculous as they're nothing special. read more

I'm going to go ahead and round up to 4 stars because their food is pretty good and they've always been fast for take out. I was pleased with the speed etc the one time I got delivery as well. Things I love: their shrimp and chicken sizzling rice soup is super fresh and I love all the veggies it comes with. For $5 it is an amazing deal! I also enjoyed their walnut shrimp and their apps (rangoons especially). Just alright: the sesame chicken is decent. It has some crunch to it but the sauce is just sweet, nothing else. Not anything special. The fried rice is pretty good but not great. Not awesome: what is up with chow mein being little crunchy sticks and not actual noodles in Colorado!? This is the 2nd place I've experienced this so maybe I'm the problem here but I also did not enjoy the sauce/veggie mix that came with it. Overall, worth a try.
