RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Money hungry is an understatement. I initially started with this nail shop in the San Leandro location. Service was good and prices were reasonable. I noticed they opened a Dublin location and was happy to see them close by. I've been to the Dublin location at least 10 times. My first visit I got a fill and pedicure with ombré designs. I was charged $55 for nails and $23 for pedicure. Fair right! I go back two weeks later for my refill and pedi. After completing my fill (no design this time) I was told my fill would be $75. I noticed a few cracks on my nails but none broken. The owner Kim told me it's how I care for my nails. But there were no cracks or broken nails when I initially came to her with 2 week old nails??? Not to mention, I've been wearing long nails over 10 years. I've never had an issue with cracked nails or broken nails prior to coming here! Their technique is not for quality and will not last the standard 2 weeks between refilling. Fast forward I tried the eye lash extensions and paid $120 for a full set and another $120 for nails and pedi. I was told the touch up is $45. My appointment was booked for nails and an eyelash refill. I arrived on time at 2pm only to notice Kim just starting a fill on someone else. I picked my color and patiently waited. My nails started approx 45 mins after my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT! 10 minutes later another client arrived early for her appointment and Kim asked me if I mind if she services the other client first and I can get a pedicure and wait. I advised I was not getting a pedicure that day and had already waited 45 minutes for my nails with no offer to work me in earlier, or no consideration for wasting my time. So I rescheduled my lash appointment for the next day at 10:45am. I advised if I can make it back that evening I'd call her, otherwise tomorrow at 10:45am. I arrived the next day and not only was she working on someone else she told me I didn't call to confirm, so she had another client to take after the person in her chair. She asked me to come back at 12:00 & I did. I returned for a eyelash touch up and after 45 mins of laying on the table Kim advised it would in fact cost $90.00, not the $45.00 initially quoted. 20 of the 45 minutes were spent with her answering the phone, taking personal calls, face timing friends and family and talking really loud in my ear. (Forget about a relaxing experience) Booking appointments then returning back to my lashes. No sanitizing or hand washing in between. (The phone is filled with powder dust from nail shavings from answering calls while drilling nails daily!) When I asked about the price difference she states it's already been 45 minutes. I mentioned her phone activity/multi tasking and she got really defensive. Horrible customer service & overall multiple bad experiences feeling under serviced and over charged. Convenience definitely comes at an expensive price. I've always made appointments and arrive on time for my appointment only to have to wait until Kim (owner) finishes a walk in. No regard for your time they are truly money hungry even at the cost of losing great customers. On my visit yesterday I overheard another customer promising to never return after hearing her price after service, also mentioning she pays about half the cost for the same service at other places. I literally spend double at this place for less than mediocre service. My nails never last a full two weeks going here and the owner places blame on the customer instead of taking ownership. I showed the owner prices for the same service at half the cost and she swears she doing something beyond spectacular to justify her massive over charging. The same nail service has increased from $55 to $100 over 8 weeks of going. They will over talk you and talk about u in their language. No customer service here so don't expect any! I left with half of one eye refilled with a mutual agreement to never return. The one star is for Eileen. She does great pedicures and her rates are consistent! She's very nice and humble. Prior to leaving today I over heard a younger staff member arguing with another customer. I've added a photo of yesterday's refill. To accommodate for the recurring cracks in my nails, Kim piled on gel extremely thick. Even after me explaining I'd like a thinner more natural look she said this is the only way to prevent cracks. After one day my gel polish is chipping and my nails looks more like claws. Sadly I will have to get them redone at another shop along with my eyelash extensions. In an effort to hide the true earnings of this cash cow from the IRS, tips and eyelash services has to be paid in cash only!! Kim literally put $200 in her ATM machine for me to withdraw as opposed to accepting my Visa card. Even at the expense of me having to shell out extra bank fees and 3rd party ATM fees. read more

I've been here a few times, typically when I'm too lazy to drive to my regular nail shop.. I think they've gone through a name change, I could have sworn they had a different name not too long ago.. Perfect Nails? Not a fan of shellac manicures here, polish starts lifting and even chips after about a week. Pedicures are ok, polish chips super fast as well and they always try to sell you on a deluxe pedicure which is some sort of green scrub they put all over your legs, they scrub pretty hard which makes sense to get the dead skin off but I regularly shave my legs and this hurt and irritated my pores. Was red and bumpy for days.. I tried it once, never again. I've never had a new set of acrylic done here but I've had a fill, only once, and that turned out nice and I was happy with the service. They used to be cash only but now have an atm machine available inside. For any credit or debit card payment they charge you $1 "due to high credit card fees". This is the only place I've been to that charges a dollar. Very few places may tack on 0.50-0.75 cents. I wasn't pleased. Very inconvenient and their prices are already on the higher side for polish that chips within a few days. My gripe isn't about the $1 fee, it's the fact that what place doesn't allow credit/debit payment without a fee these days???? Shop itself is located in a small retail center. People drive and park crazy here, good luck finding a decent parking spot. Interior is pretty dirty, even for a nail shop.. I was a little nervous. The towel sanitizer looked extremely old and had rust. I didn't have any sanitation issues with my services, can't really speak on how sanitized everything was but I definitely was questioning... If you need a fill or acrylic, I would say they're decent. Everything else I've tried here, wasn't too happy with, definitely won't be going back.. read more

My mom always takes me to get our nails done together here. We walked in around 4 on a Thursday without making an appointment. They were able to take us right away for 2 pedicures. Some days we aren't so lucky and the salon gets full, so I'd recommend making an appointment. We're familiar with the staff and even the owner's 9-year-old chihuahua. They're nice and take your requests. Make sure to give a tip (in cash)! They recently upgraded their snack station, now offering candy, cookies, peanuts and fruit snacks. For beverages they offer water, tea, coffee, juice, wine and margarita. A plus at this salon is the hygienic plastic wraps for where you soak your feet. Massage chairs are comfy. I go for the #4 setting and "glide" They have TVs but I'm usually on my phone or talk to the staff. There are also special nail driers in the front corner by the snacks. read more

Disappoint is an understatement. Made an appointment for 4 girls and not only did they cut me multiple times, but they didn't put any medication on the cuts that were bleeding and just kept working. My nails look atrocious. To pay over $100 in the end for my mani pedi and for my little sister who was part of this group who was supposed to get a kids mani pedi, I will never come back. There are gaps in my dip powder manicure and beyond lumpy. Not to mention my cuticles look more disgusting than when I went in. The lady who did my nails clearly wasn't interested to do her job well, the nail polish wasn't even, the ends of the nails were particularly painted, sides of the nails left not painted, and she didn't even clean the polish that got on my skin around nails! When I asked her to add another layer and cover the nails ends and sides she was very unhappy and angry with my ask and replied with "there are a lot of customers waiting!". Went to this place because it was close to an optometry shop I was visiting. Got a mani-pedi w/ buff there. Place was hot and humid inside. Management was rude. The girl who did my mani-pedi was nice enough but she did a poor job--pretty sure it's the worst I've ever had. Nails were not filed evenly, cuticle remains on the nails. This was the most relaxing pedicure that I have ever received. Nancy was wonderful. The foot and leg massage were heavenly. The massage chairs were so comfy. I closed my eyes and was in pure heaven. The 2 gigantic plasma screens tv were a great bonus too. (Lakehouse was playing with Keanu Reeves). Anyways..It was well worth the 20 bucks. I almost felt like a new person afterwards. read more

I used to come here all the time before it changed ownership and its name. It was a great neighborhood shop. I've given it three tries now and can officially say it isn't a fluke and I need to find a new nail shop. The chairs are all torn, it's not as clean as it used to be, they only put one towel on the foot stool and it doesn't even cover all the plastic. A regular pedicure used to cost me $20 and $25 with callus removal. Now it's $25 and $33 with callus removal and yet the end result isn't nearly as nice. Also there wasn't a single thing relaxing about the last few times I went there. Just teeth clenching as they use the worst kind of tools. I'm not super picky, but I never had experiences like this before it changed ownership. read more

Well, its challenging finding a good nail salon to say the least. When I found this place I was thrilled. They did a good job during my first visit. Squeezed me in without an appointment. I was happy with my pedicure, Cathy did a great job. But, I should of realized that would come back to haunt me. Today, I called in to make an appointment. When I walked in I was ready to be pampered. Although they seemed busy (of course on a Friday) they reassured me that they would get to me next. After 15mins they gave me a chair to sit in, you probably can imagine where this is all going. Because I didnt realize the time until I noticed my feet where cold from the water I've been so patiently soaking my feet in. Although they reassured me yet again & apologized for the long wait. I wanted a pedicure and took their word that it shouldnt be much longer. Another 15mins went by and they said...1 more minute. I looked around and they were still not even finished with their clients. So I was fed up. Seriously? 36 minutes later I asked them for a towel to dry off my feet so I could leave. I guess they weren't hurting for my business since they didnt even try to get me back into their salon. With my previous experience in mind, I cam back for another mani/pedi on a Friday afternoon. When I asked how long of a wait I was told 5 minutes. After picking out my color, one of the ladies said my chair was ready so I sat down and dunked my feet. 15 minutes passed...no pedicurist...So, I asked where the lady was and someone told me she was waxing someone and they would go check. They came back and told me 2 more minutes. 5 minutes later she came out of the back and started my pedicure. Finally! After she had painted my toenails and fingernails I had been there for way too long. Even the movie couldn't entertain me anymore. So I left. When I looked at my nails on the way to my car, half of them had little bubbles on the side. Horrible! And, they did the same thing to the woman sitting next to me. This place is not good and I had high hopes for it too! It's right next to my hair stylist so I'm giving it a star for the convenience factor. The pedicures are not good. I think it depends on who you get but I always get the crappy people. I shouldn't have to tell you to pumice my feet and if I want my toenails cut shorter don't laugh and say they are already short. I do not like long toenails because when I work out they hurt banging against my shoes. Just do what I tell you. Also, don't tell me you can do 2 pedicures right now and do mine and leave my husbands feet soaking for 45 minutes and then do his. That is not 2 at the same time. The waxing... well that deserves negative 10. That's right - THEY SUCK AT IT. Just go next door to Allure. I made the mistake of getting my legs waxed here because Allure was all booked up. Well they burned my leg and left a ton of wax on my leg and didn't even get all the hair off! I still can't believe they burnt my leg. I wished yelp had the option of 0 or negative stars, because this place sucks! Full of cheats, unprofessional and snobbish staff. the owner is a big liar. Since this was the nearest place to my house, I decided to give it a try. I took an appointment and had to wait 30 mins before my turn came. The guy who had to do pedicure went out for smoke and came back after 10 mins and now imagine he doing pedicure with all that smoke smell. During the manicure while taking out the dead cell they hurted my fingers so bad that it started bleeding (2 of them). It seems this guy was in a hurry (as one of his regulars came) and was totally unapologetic. He didn't uttered the word Sorry once. Worse he cleaned the instrument (with blood) in the same water where i was soaking my other hand. Rates are random, I saw another customer arguing about what was told to her and what they charged after completing the service. I am so mad and furious that I a writing this review just 30 mins after I had my manicure done and that too from my husband's account :-) GO to this place at your own risk !!!!! This is one horrible horrible experience that i have had and had spoiled my entire mood. This is the worst possible experience. I got white shellac done and they turned brown the same day. I went back and the lady (Paula) said that I'm not the first to complain and that it always happen. She then proceeds to shout that there was nothing she could do. She was extremely rude and argumentative. I just came back from getting a 'Deluxe Spa Pedicure' and full face wax. I am giving this place a 3-star rating, but I have completely different ratings for the two services that I received. This place is slightly better than the average nail salon with plush pedicure chairs as well as cushioned and upholstered chairs for getting manicures. They have two rooms in the back for waxing services and facials. They have movies playing on the three LCD tvs set up in the place, which are viewable from all of the seats in the salon. David, the owner, made a point of introducing himself to me and was pleasant to talk to. The deluxe spa pedicure was quite nice and the technician was attentive to my feet and did a pretty good job. I'm not sure if she forgot or what, but I had to ask her to slough the bottoms of my feet (and the bottoms of my feet still feel rough). The 'Deluxe' spa pedicure costs $35 (a normal spa pedicure is $20). The deluxe includes a soy milk foot soak with rose petals, a marine clay mask, sugar scrub and massage. We'll see how the paint job holds up. They use OPI nail polish, but I brought my own in this time. At this point, I give them 4-stars for the Deluxe spa pedicure. And now to the face wax. I'm NEVER getting my face waxed here again. She took off layers of skin on parts of my face and it HURTS. I'm not bleeding or anything, but more than just hair got removed. . . and I still have some hairs here and there..... They get one star for the wax job and that's being generous. Update: It's one week later since I wrote this review and my toes still look great - no chipped paint or anything and I've definitely had numerous occasions where I thrashed my feet and the paint potentially could have chipped off - so yay! They still get 4 stars in my book for the pedi. read more

I went in for a Shellac Manicure on a Monday. While there was absolutely no waiting. The Manicure itself was extremely Shabby!!! While doing my cuticles two of my fingers started to bleed and on top of that there was no apology for that either. She went along as if it happened all the time!!! Plus the way she was putting the polish on it was going all over the place sometimes it would drop on the table and sometime it would go over my nail on to my fingers. I really hate to bash local businesses, however, I feel the need to. I have been getting my gel nails and pedicures here for 2 years now. I had a pedicure on Saturday morning, not paying attention because I trust the staff, thought everything was fine. But by Saturday evening my right big toe was in pain. I thought I stubbed it unknowingly until it started changing colors. I went to the doctor and it was infected, I got antibiotics. But my condition worsened. I had to have it cut open and drained. I now have been to 3 doctor appointments, 2 types of medications, and missed 3 days of work. Don't forget the unbareable pain. This is the first review I have ever written and I hate to give any place 2 stars because I know it's hard to run a business, but I would also like to help out gals like me who search endlessly on yelp for good hair or nail salons hoping to be led in the right direction. Anyway.... here goes..... I walked in with an objective attitude hoping that the negative reviews were isolated incidents. Unfortunately, I was disappointed for a few different reasons. I will try to stick to the ones that I feel might be relevant to someone coming in and will try to spare the details so it's concise. The NEGATIVE: 1. While it is sanitary, the chairs are covered with those long sheets of paper that are used to cover dental chairs or the check-up tables in doctor's offices. Coupled with the massage chairs that have the kneading and percussion type of massage, the sound that results is an ongoing crinkly paper noise which can be kinda annoying. The main turn off for me was that it made my visit to the salon feel much less like a day of pampering or relaxation, so it's naturally not a place I would recommend to take a friend for some girl time or as a gift. 2. This one isn't huge, but the mani/pedi is two dollars more than Glamour Nail Spa one minute away despite the environment at Glamour being significantly nicer. Of course, Perfect Nails is slightly older so who knows what Glamour will look like in a few years. 3. The nail polishes are not displayed for easy choosing, but sit on a cart so you have to pick up each one to see what they look like. 4. A lot of the nail polishes looked pretty old, and that was confirmed when the one that I picked ended up having to be painted on in multiple coats (I counted a total of four for the polish alone, not including the base or top coat). This made it really hard for my nails to dry and it looks like I'm wearing thick acrylics even though I'm not. 4. Another one that's not big, but inconvenient if you don't know ahead of time is: they ask you to give the tip in cash only. Now in their defense, they allowed us to increase the amount on our cards which was nice, but I guess it was that or no tip so it makes sense. 5. Not a whole lot of attention is paid to customer service and there isn't much of a system it seems. We were waiting for a while and to make a long story short, make sure you have nowhere to go afterwards and don't expect your mani/pedi to be done at the same time as the person you came with. Overall, if you're looking to treat yourself, want a little bit of pampering or want a fun girls day out, this place doesn't do the greatest job in providing the atmosphere for that. The POSITIVE: 1. The owner I believe, or at least the only male there was SUPER nice. Our water was ridiculously hot at first and he was very attentive as far as cooling it down and making sure it was comfortable. 2. The ladies that did our mani/pedis were also very sweet, I think there just needs to be more of a system going so that people are taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. If you're busy, you're busy, but I think that appointments should get somewhat of a priority (or why allow them?) and an honest estimation of how long someone will be waiting would be nice. I wouldn't say NEVER go here EVER, but if you are like me and you only splurge for a mani/pedi every now and then, or if atmosphere and detail are important to you, you may want to try somewhere else. I suggest Glamour nail spa for atmosphere and for attention to customer service. Perfect Nails isn't bad, it just isn't the experience I was looking for. read more

Been doing the bouncing around the nail spa routine lately. I want to get a good price in today's "recession" every dollar counts, especially for non essentials. But I want a good job done, and for a while I was frequenting the Nail Shop in Walnut Creek because the price and it was an "OK" job. And if I went on a week day walking in was no big deal. But one of my last visits there the acrylic nails just looked crappy. Rush Rush Rush and I'd just had it. My girlfriend lives over in the Dublin area and it's just alittle farther for me than going to WC and she said she'd found this place and the prices were comparable and service good. And her nails, well that sold me! They looked beautiful next to my lumpy things!!! So I've gone here the last few times. So far I've been happy, Though the last time a couple of weeks ago the acrylic did chip a bit on the sides. So when I went in the other day "Tiffany" talked me into "Gels". Yeah...they are alittle more of an initial layout but, you don't need a fill as often. And the pink and white looks really natural. So I went for a change! That's big for me, I've had acrylics forever! So far I'm liking them. I keep them short so they should hold up well. My fingernails look natural and just perfect. The service was very good and caring about the look I wanted. I watched a whole movie while there and enjoyed the experience. If I could give a worse rating, I would. I hate to do this and already called and requested to speak with the owner but was told they do not have the owner's number. So here it is. When I went the first time two different people worked on me which I didn't ask for and I was told to give a tip to both by Eileen. Mind you I was told. I was shocked and said to them a tip is not something that's asked for it's given by a customer if they feel you did a satisfactory job. The second time I went after a long time and forgot the name and face of who did my nails previously. It happened to be Eileen again who was super rough and she cut me so I started bleeding. She pulled my hand squeezed my fingers. I finally started crying and told her she needs to be gentle as she was really very rough. I spoke with the owner Kim who is wonderful she asked me to come in and took care of my personally. However, now the ownership has changed. I was told Jennifer will take care of me. I went another time and asked for Jennifer who was supposedly going to match me to a nail color I was looking for. As soon as I got there I was told pick a color and match myself. I was shocked. I was so upset I said that's ok I just want to fix one nail. Again I was told go find the color myself. I tried my best and found a similar color. After it was fixed it did not match at all. Jennifer made me feel bad and insulted me in front of the other customers saying well you should of changed all of your nails. I got even more upset and said to just take them all off. I was told I have to pay $5 for the nail I fixed and an additional $10 to remove the rest. I was not going to argue again and paid $15 when you can get your gel nails removed for $7 in San Ramon. She did not properly file or clean my nails either. My recommendation is if you would like to give Kim a chance she has a shop in San Leandro called Perfect Nails as well. Your chances there will be much better as she goes out of her way for a customer. Again I would love to speak with the owner as this is so wrong. read more

I went to Kim for my 1st brow permanent makeup or tattooing. Very happy with Kim and the service I received. She was patient to help me endure the initial pain which was about 7 min. Last 45 min was wonderful. Kim has a great eye for detail and my brows look fantastic! read more

This nail salon has gone down hill since it opened several years ago. They use to be clean, have a good assortment of nail polish colors and service was great. Now the place is dirty and unkept, the nail polishes are old and the colors are out dated. Talk about the customer service: there is none. I called to make an appointment and they always say no problem just come in. When I get there they make me wait for at least 15-25 minutes and in the meantime anyone who is walking in gets helped before I did. They end up rushing you out because they want to help someone else that just walked in with no appointment. I have been going to other nail salons that are further away and that's a shame since this place is very close to my work. Take your chance if you decide to come here! read more

This place is convenient and clean. Hit or miss with the pedicures, but the polish does always stay for a while (at least a week). I love to go to Cindy. She is quick, but thorough. I get gel fills with her. I have tried the others there, but I am used to the way Cindy does it and they stay looking nice...even with my daily chores with my 8 month old. They also have 2 dogs that are normally there, very sweet. They also always have some movie playing on the plasmas. One thing to remember is to bring cash for the tip. read more

I stopped in here on a whim to get a full set put on. Pros: they're pretty clean & the woman who helped me (Eileen I believe) was really friendly. Cons: She didn't do that great of a job. My nails are very weak (it's been a week and I've already had some break), and she didn't clean them up very well. I had a lot of excess powder along the nail beds. I can't speak for any other services, but I unfortunately won't be coming back here for a full set. Service isn't that great, but I do appreciate how friendly Eileen was which is why they earned a third star. There are several salons in and around Dublin, I would encourage you to try one of the others rather than this one. read more

I like this place a lot, they have great quality polish and my nails never chip/crack/break off. ALWAYS clean and the building is very pleasant to be in. Parking is great and the service is often friendly. Downsides: Expensive Walk-ins be prepared to wait Appointments.... be prepared to wait most times as well. Very busy location If you do not like dogs/you are allergic, probably should not come here. They have 2 dogs who are always walking around and sitting in peoples laps. read more

Pedi was Ok. What I didn't like was the workers speaking in Vietnamese the whole time and very obvious about the clients. Too many nail salons around and most have better customer service than this place. Definitely not returning. read more
