This is one of the best steakhouses I've ever been to! Where the ambiance is historic charm meets modern sophistication, you'll need to have your next date night here. For appetizers, we started off with the garlic parm chicken drumettes. The chicken was so juicy and I adored the presentation. The garlic cheesy cream was the sauce of my dreams. The french onion soup came bubbling over with that cheesy pull we all love. It's a steakhouse staple! And yes -- they even serve fresh sushi! The rainbow salmon tuna roll was a sushi dream wrapped in every bite and made for a unique menu addition. Dinner stole the show -- the spicy vodka rigatoni packed bold flavor and heat, making it a great meal for those who love a comfort meal with a kick. The filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, cooked exactly how a steak should be, with a nice helping of mashed potatoes and asparagus. And just when we thought it couldn't get better... dessert. The warm, house-made bread pudding was insanely comforting, and the rich chocolate cake? Fresh from the owner's daughter's bakery (Fancy Cakes NJ) -- a sweet family touch you won't find anywhere else. If you're looking for your next dinner spot in Colts Neck -- trust me, the Colts Neck Inn Steakhouse is worth every bite!

I had high hopes based on social media reviews. I looked forward to this. Place was beautiful. We drove 45 minutes from Staten Island. It was not a-good night. Service at bar was slow, then when we sat there were no specials, then they were out of the Porterhouse steak, then out of the Ribeye. My strip was terrible. I asked for manager and no one came out. Our server was great but she cant help the terrible food. I went to the bathroom, no toilet paper. I wont be back

Excited to share my unforgettable experience at the newly renovated Colts Neck Inn Steakhouse--a true Colts Neck gem with a revamped vibe and a menu that wows! I sampled a variety of dishes, and every bite was better than the last. Started off strong with their Firecracker Shrimp, Clams Casino, and perfectly seasoned Garlic Parm Chicken Drumettes. The Wedge Salad was the ultimate pre-steak favorite (a must-try!). Speaking of steak, the New York Strip was cooked to perfection, but the tender Bone-In Pork Chop with whipped sweet potato might have stolen my heart. The Chicken Parmigiano and Spicy Rigatoni Vodka were rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Dessert was a dream with specialty cakes crafted by a local boutique bakery--decadent, creative, and the perfect sweet ending to this indulgent meal. Pair all this with a refreshing Raspberry Michi Martini or a fiery Spicy Pineapple Margarita, and you've got yourself a night to remember! Make your reservations now and let me know what you try!

Time for a Colts Neck Inn update! We enjoyed a nice dinner for 3 this past Wednesday evening. Vinny was our server and he not only provided outstanding service, but he also had great suggestions for a nice family style dinner. We shared a 32 oz strip steak and caesar salad for 3. What a nice platter he made and went out of his way to make sure we had a great meal. Food was very good and since you may also find Vinny as the bartender on other days, he made sure our beverages were always full. Great evening and we will definitely be back. Always a solid dining experience and the best steak around in monmouth county!

Host was very gracious and our waitress was good. When we sat down we were told appetizers and drinks were half off until 6pm for happy hour. As you can see from my receipt it's actually 40% off not 50%. Very misleading. I wanted to add chicken to my caprese grilled cheese and the waitress came back and said it was $26. It would be the most expensive sandwich on the menu (even more than steak) but that was fine. When the receipt arrived it was $10 extra not $6.00. I brought it to her attention and she took off $2.00 more so now a $28 grilled cheese with chicken. There was some activity by the bar and nice ambiance but the pricing between the happy hour discount and my added chicken makes you really wonder. Hopefully, it was an off night.

3.5 stars would be most appropriate. Nothing glaringly wrong, but nothing popped either. Solid meal, relaxed and casual ambiance.

Having never been there before, we had no idea what that meant so we followed everyone else. We had a reservation, so seating was not an issue. They weren't ready at 11am to serve. It took about 15 minutes for all of the options to be available and the kitchen struggled to keep pace as many options emptied quickly, the lines formed, and the refresh was slow. There was a cash bar service and juices available. This was a catered event, so the food was, well what I expected, but not bad with a fair amount of options. Our waitress did bring us water to our table and even filled the dirty glass and moved on. Empty plates sat on the table for a while, but we continued to return to the buffet. Everything was fair, until the check arrived. First, they charged us the child price for one of the under threes that ate one pancake. The waitress didn't ask if he was under three, just charged us despite under three being free. The real kick in the pants came from the automatic 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more, billed for four at the table. Yes, I know technically six, I get it. 20% on a buffet is insane. I served myself, I served my own drinks and stacked my own plates, by that definition I should have stayed to collect my tip-out after dining. I would have described our service as poor, unfriendly and unwelcoming. The 20% was not disclosed at the time of the reservation and I consider this a deceptive business tactic. It was Mother's Day so I would have chosen to leave more anyway, despite the bad service, but after the 20% gratuity was automatically added, there was an additional line for the tip. How many added a tip after already being charged? Quite a few I imagine. We will not be visiting this restaurant again and encourage them to be honest, upfront and train their staff appropriately. If the manager had visited out table, we would have spoken to them directly.

The waitress was an absolute sweetheart but because I was flying high she was making me paranoid, like I was thinking girl do you know me from some where? My husband and I both ordered steak frites, and I thought briefly that my husband and I had formed a psychic connection and were ascending together. Don't be turned away that the restaurant is located in a strip mall by Whole Foods. Once you walk in the revolving door, you are transported into foodie heaven. Matthew was our server and he was a pleasure. He was very attentive and knowledgeable and kept our meal flowing throughout. Since we were dining for an early lunch, all 3 of us ordered salads to keep things light. Two ordered the avocado salad with skirt steak and I had the caesar with grilled shrimp. Everyone really enjoyed their meal and I think my son inhaled his food... he was a hungry one. The grilled shrimp was fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly. The caesar was very flavorful and not your ordinary salad. It was my birthday and Matthew was so kind to surprise me with a small ice cream dessert with a fiery candle. A real nice touch to end the meal. We were all so full from our meals. Overall prices are not cheap, but the quality of food is so well worth it. If you're looking for a really nice atmosphere with elevated food quality, Gabriella's is a great spot for any special occasion. I'm excited to visit again and try other entrees!

For appys, we had a wedge salad w/ a slice of bacon, which my wife enjoyed. I had baked clams, which I loved! For dinner, my wife had Filet Mignon and mac & cheese on the side. The meat was cooked perfectly and the mac & cheese was great. I had a Wagyu rib eye cap and Brussel sprouts on the side. The meat was perfect, and so were the sprouts. For dessert, my wife had the affogato, which both of us loved. The only disappointment of the night was the Tiramisu, not flavorful at all. The service was top-notch, I appreciated that the waiter was not a kid, which so many places use these days. It's very expensive, $380 for two (BYOB), including tip. As great a meal as it was, I don't think I will be a regular. If I come back, it won't be for the steak, mine cost $115. The mains don't include sides, it's all a la carte. If the money doesn't bother you, or it's a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant. Somebody in that kitchen, knows what they are doing!

I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.
