Really great President's Day sale! The shoes were buy one get one 50% and the entire store was 70% off. I was searching for some hiking boots at REI and Dick's but they either didn't have my size or it was about $100+ for a pair of boots. I normally don't wear hiking boots so I'm only getting them for a trip. I was so glad I stumbled upon the Columbia sale! I purchased two pairs of sturdy hiking boots for less than $60!! Found them on the clearance table and they actually had a variety of sizes. I was able to snatch up the last size 7 for both boots. Only downside is the store was super crowded and stuffy and items were all over the place. The line was long, but it went down quickly. read more

Went to the San Francisco outlets looking for good winter sports coat for my wife. She is particular regarding style and protection features. We went to numerous stores with little success and then tried Columbia outlet. We were in there a few minutes and a manager named Bre asked if we needed help. She took the time to check a new delivery that was delivered in the morning which was still not inventoried. We did eventually find the right coat. Bre is friendly, familiar with company products and sincere. We will return when I look for a new coat too. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE! WORST STORE! RACIST STAFF! On 8/19/2025 4:19 PM, at Columbia Outlets Livermore store, I was subjected to discriminatory and disrespectful treatment by a cashier at your outlet store. The cashier, a 4'11" tall young woman wearing glasses and heavy makeup, engaged in conduct that demonstrated bias and hostility. When I identified her behavior as racist, she responded dismissively with the words, "Okay. So what?" and said abused language. This incident raises serious concerns under Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination in places of public accommodation. Such behavior is unacceptable, unlawful, and damaging to customers who expect to be treated with dignity and fairness. read more

The girl at the register was horrible. She didn't talk to me or say hi, she only talked to another employee while at the register about new employees and interviews. Rather than ask me for my email she tossed me a sticky note and pen and told me to write it down. When my boyfriend checked out behind me she just looked me up and down and gave us a sorry a*s "have a good day". Really awkward experience and you would think the least an employee can do is give you 1 minute out of their day. Service was awful. Deals were great at least. read more

I like to check out the Columbia Outlet store whenever I'm in San Francisco Premium Outlets. The store is always nice and clean. A lot of merchandise is on sale. I can almost always found done good deals in the store. The store is never too crowded. I do enjoy shopping at this store with the friendly employees working there. read more

I'll start by saying Columbia has so many fantastic and appealing clothing options to choose from. That also have some really great deals! However the check-out counter takes so long and they don't have enough people working it. They also ask for your email before you purchase something, slowing down the process even more. I mean they don't ask if you are a "special member" or anything they literally ask for your email first. I spent more time at the counter waiting to pay than I did looking around in the store. This location needs to train the employees with proper etiquette and customer service. First of all, it is difficult to find help when the majority of the employees are not wearing name badges and literally ignore many of the customers. Then, the employees gave me conflicting information and referred me to the manager ( who gave conflicting information too). Thirdly, there is quite a bit of clothing on the sales floor making it difficult to navigate the store. Then, the mirrors are only in the fitting room. Lastly, many of the employees were more interested socializing amongst themselves then actually working. I had to visit this store several times and still have not resolve my current issue due to conflicting information from the store employees. I would not recommend this location. read more

TLDR: Thank you Britney for your patience and amazing customer service! Came here to return an item I purchased at another Columbia store (out of state). Britney, the employee, tried to issue me my refund but the register would not open to give me my cash. Britney called over another employee who was a bit dismissive and curt and told her to call the 800 number. After speaking with corporate (and me waiting a bit), it still was not working. Eventually, the "curt" co-worker came back and helped Britney figure out the issue. Throughout the entire process, Britney was reassuring and apologizing profusely for the wait. Having worked in customer service, I know how difficult it can be when customers are impatient and give you a hard time. This small gesture, to me, meant a lot. Even though she was faced with a problem she probably hadn't encountered much, she still provided wonderful customer service. I hope this gets to her supervisor so that she is properly acknowledged for her great work. Her co-workers could learn a thing or two from her! read more

More inventory choices makes for greater selection. Store was well organized and clean. Staff was helpful and answered our questions. We scored some terrific deals at their Clearance sections! Zero mirrors on the sales floor.... I'm not sure what sales tactic/approach their sales team is implementing, but I don't understand why they don't have any mirrors on the sales floor. The prices are great, but the fact that every time I found a jacket I had to go to the back of the store in the fitting room area to get to a mirror. Then every time I got back there I had to awkwardly share the mirror with 2-3 other customers. I heard a customer make a comment towards a sales associate that it was very strange that there wasn't any mirrors on the floor. The sales associate didn't have a helpful response. You can tell that the other customers were frustrated as well. After carrying jackets back and forth from the front of the store to the back mirror 3 different times, I left the store. The potential money saved wasn't worth the effort. Keep in mind, some of the jackets are very bulky, so it does take some effort carrying those things around and trying them on. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel and put a mirror or 2 on the sales floor like every other retail store. It's common sense... I ended up going to North Face and I was able to try on several more jackets in a shorter amount of time, even though the store was way busier than Columbia. I ended up deciding on a North Face jacket, which is disappoint because I really wanted to give Columbia a try this winter. read more

They have nice clothing and all specifically for outdoors, but it's just that prices here are too freaking high!!!! The best place to shop for outerwear in the East Bay. Columbia Sportswear has super awesome technology meant to withstand all sorts of weather. The people who work here are knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are spectacular. I got a pair of SOREL boots for really cheap. Their clearance shoe table is always stocked. In my opinion, Columbia is waaay better than Northface and the garments last that much longer. With a new location out in the Tri-Valley, hikers, runners, and skiers alike will definitely find something for themselves. read more

Pretty good selection of ski jackets when I went. I found a great deal on the jacket and ski pants I purchased. I also found a couple of other sweaters I liked for my weekend in the snow that were marked down. I signed up for their rewards program online the night before, and they were nice enough to honor the 10% discount (only valid in-store). The staff was friendly and helpful. The workers here are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a winter jacket but since Im always cold it would be an everyday jacket. I been eyeing this jacket for 2 months but decided to wait since it was still summer, but with the approach of winter coming a long and the announcement of 30 new stores I have decided to hit this outlet up again. I still don't agree with the name of this outlet as I don't think it would draw more people in let alone tourists. But I am glad I went on a whim with my friend and made a day out of it. They had a good sale at this time 25% off additionally. The jacket I wanted was priced at $169.99 with an additional 25% off it came down to $130 before taxes but at checkout it rang for $90!!!! The cashier told me it was on sale because it was last year's style. SCORE! The customer service here is superb. I asked for 2 different sizes and they were happy to assist me. I think I shouldn't be reviewing based on the quality of the brand, because the quality of their product deserves a 4 star or above. Now lets talk about service in this Columbia location. The staffs isn't well trained as they don't know what customer service means. CLEARLY they will Bullshit you with rules that Columbia don't even grant. FIRST OCCASION (After Thanksgiving) I got 3 of those $30 gift cards from thanksgiving promo and was told I can use them all at the same time from here and Great mall when I spent my money during thanksgiving. Now that I need to use them during Christmas, the cashier told me, I can't use them together, at the same time they consider this as a promo, so any coupon you get from the outlet service center can not be applied. When I say, Great mall was nice enough to let me use it, the manager here at Livermore basically said "oh, I m the manager here, so fuck off cheap ass." SECOND OCCASION (During Thanksgiving) I bought 4 jackets, when the staff told me the total amount, I asked her if I can use 15% coupon. This is her response:"Oh, you can't use it now, because I've already keyed in everything!" My response:" Couldn't you just re enter everything again? Its only 4 jackets." Her response:"No!" This is during thanksgiving, many people are waiting, so I didn't want to make a seen. I will return those items ASAP. Why would I buy 4 jackets during thanksgiving waiting in line, if I couldn't get the best deal possible? If corporate office sees this, you need to fire somebody, anyone with a decent work ethic on this position should value customer experience. If you catch a sale the prices are good. The service is excellent; despite it being a crowded, crazy weekend the staff were cheerful and helpful. The salesperson went into the back to pull the size I needed, which was not on the floor, and I got a lovely new gray fleece for 25 dollars. I love my other Columbia fleece and wear it almost year round, so I'll use the new fleece a lot too. The selection isn't outstanding but it's good enough. I do recommend trying clothes on there if you are going to buy online, to get an idea of sizing. I wear a size small in almost everything, but in Columbia clothes I am more comfortable in a medium, especially to have room to wear things under the jacket or fleece. read more

My wife bought a snow jacket for my 4 years old daughter few weeks ago, we followed the instruction on the tag and put the jacket in the washing machine and wash after the trip; however, the jacket was broken after washed and we decided to go to the store and ask for the right instruction and try to exchange the same one, because my daughter only wear it once. When she arrived the store, my wife asked the cashier nicely if there was chance to exchange the same style one. The cashier immediately looked for his supervisor next to him and let her make the decision. The supervisor told my wife loudly in front of 20 customers who were waiting on the line and said "I do have a jacket from Columbia and I also put my clothes in the washing machine to wash. Why don't mine have no problem at all and never broken?" Her action and language was totally unacceptable as a store supervisor and made my wife so embarrass in front of the other customers. My high EQ wife told the supervisor politely that she had no offense and not a MUST to exchange it. We would like to see what can do under the store policy. That lady just gave her a fake smile and returned to the other customers. There are some people in the world should not do customer service job and I think we can find one in this store. read more

Do you need sporty clothes? How about outdoors clothes? Then you should go to the Columbia outlet. They had a good selection of new things and helpful people. The clothes were laid out like any store, nicely on racks. The selection seemed very similar to what I would find at REI or otherwise, regular in season, normal clothes with a variety of sizes, at a significant discount. I was asked if I needed help a few times. They ended up starting a room in the fitting area for me and even brought other sizes when the clothes I had didn't fit. Came here during a 4th of July weekend sale and this place was crazy! Tons of good deals, but it was hard to find your size since there were sooo many people around. The store was clean, but with lots of people = messy store. The line to the dressing room was ridiculously long, but people moved in an orderly fashion. Overall, I found great hiking pants and a sweater here all for less than $80. Great quality and good deals during an event. I would recommend shopping here if you are at the outlets. I understand your "policy," but you DO NOT address customers in the cold and unprofessional way that she did to me. I was simply asking for STORE CREDIT for an item purchased 20 days ago with which I have A RECEIPT AND THE CREDIT CARD USED FOR THE PURCHASE. She was incredibly cold and told me t go ahead and call her corporate office to complain. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING IN THIS STORE or AT ANY COLUMBIA STORE, OR THAT MATTER.
