They sell lemons for twice what their worth, and they are dishonest about their used vehicles.

The promises of a car "tomorrow" ultimately turned into a week long ordeal. My car was secured on Thursday and was supposed to be ready for pickup Tuesday. Which turned to Wednesday the latest and finally ended up being the following Monday. I was told the delay was due to the fact that my vehicle needed new tires, but the vehicle was ultimately delivered with used tires. We wanted to trade in our car at the time of sale and put something towards the new car, but were told we could not unless we wanted to wait 2 more days. We had exactly 60 seconds to look at a car we didnt get to test drive because we were rushed because "there are a lot of people picking up today". I was told there were no differences in the cars we looked at and test drove and the car we ultimately ended up buying. This proved to be false. I was never told there was a minimum amount to finance, so when i went in with 2 checks, one was refused due to some undisclosed financing minimum. In face, I was specifically told " I don't care how you pay, its all the same to me" by the manager in the previous visit. My bottom line price was $30,000 OUT THE DOOR. taxes and fees included. When I asked Colin what my total was before I started signing, he told me "Right at 30." He lied right to my face as the price was $31,012. When we went into the finance managers office and started looking at paperwork we questioned why it wasn't a Hyundai Certified Pre owned as that's what we were told all along and the only reason we even went back to the dealer. The finance manager got up, walked out without a word when i threatened this was going to go a whole different way without a certification and we were going to walk away. He then came back with a few payment options all of which included additional warranty coverage like that's the only way the car would be certified. I was never given payment options that did not include an additional warranty. An ultimately $35,000 car didn't come with basics like floor mats or even a manual. Its been 10 days since I've contacted colin about this and have received no response. We were told 2 completely different figures about how much money was put into the car, by the same person and were told if they put anymore into the car it would be over the $30,000 out the door price. Which it ultimately was anyway. We were told when we bought a car, it would be completely gone over with us. This was also not done. So no tutorial, no test drive and no manual. How do you figure out the buttons on a self driving vehicle while you're driving without it being dangerous? A certified pre-owned Hyundai comes with 3 months of sirius radio and bluelink. Mine did not. As part of the 173 point inspection the car must include an owners manual, a quick start guide and owners handbook. mine did not include these. Under that same inspection, there is to be no visable damage to the front bumper or grille and mine is damaged on both and checked off as "no damage" "meets stds" The clock is supposed to be set to the right time. While this may seem like a simple stupid task, even this was not done leaving me questioning whether anything was done. My battery failed the inspection and says no good. It is supposed to include a Carfax specifically, but I had to pay $50 for my own when I got home and realized all the problems with the vehicle and service and sales departments. It was in this Carfax report we discovered it was not a one owner car, it was a 3 year, 36,000 mile lease, which was never disclosed. I was charged for vin etching on a vehicle that was already $700 over my budget. When i called Peter Sarro the general manager and explained my many concerns, he said " are you done? can i talk now? you've been talking for 20 minutes." i expressed that i thought he wanted to hear all of my concerns and that i could see he was not the right person to talk to to try to rectify the situation. I gave him a chance to rectify the situation and that was a kindness, and he pretty much laughed in my face and offered a manual. I thanked him for his time and told him to have a great day and then went over his head. You will get nowhere with these people I have escalated this case to Hyundai Motor America Customer Care and they are NOT happy. I do have to mention Colin was wonderful and went above and beyond until the moment he received our check. That's when the communication changed, the effort stopped and everything was different. The no pressure, upfront pricing and transparency they claim to have as standards are a joke and they do none of those things. We were pressured, lied to about the price and not told so many things.

The guy who came out and looked at it said - order the part and I will put it on for you. He was so friendly and helpful and let me know this would be the cheapest way to fix this. So - I got the part from the KIA dealer and took it over to Capitol. He did it on the spot! And wouldn't take a dime. What a nice guy (KIA wanted almost 300 dollars to put in in!) Really appreciate their generosity and overall vibe. Thanks!

WARNING DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS STEAL YOUR MONEY. On…read moreapproximately November 22nd 2021. I purchased a 2014 Subaru XT turbo Forester from them. The reason why I went to this dealership was because the sales person contacted me and told me that they had many cars I may be interested in. They were the first people to contact me, and thus the first place I went, I went with a friend and drove many cars that day. I decided for the value, this would be the best car. It appeared to drive nice, and my best friend has the same car so I was familiar. While I was at the dealership, they said they had to take it for a safety check and fix a few things, so they provided me with a loaner car for the evening. My next contact from them told me the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and they would do that free of charge. I also asked them about a tire light sensor that was not present and they told me if I purchased the sensor they would put it in for free. This didn't raise any alarm as the tire pressure seemed to be fine to me. They also said they were replacing the ball joints on the car since the old ones were shot. They had the car for the week, and reported they were waiting on the catalytic converter to come in. so they delivered the car to me without this fixed, and with the tire sensor light still on. I got a phone call from the sales general manager Jamie Lebron stating that they were taking back a loner car and I was going to drive the unsafe Subaru until the converter came in and they could send me to Suburban Subaru to get it fixed. Upon delivery of the car I noticed that the key fab didn't work to lock and unlock the car. So I checked the battery, trying to eliminate the problem and that didn't work. When I spoke with Mr Lebron about the catalytic converter, he assured me that they would take care of it when I had the Cadillac converter installed. So the day comes when they finally call to bring the car in and I tell them about the key fab he promised would be programmed. They get back to me and tell me it's a bigger problem, it wasn't just a tire sensor that was wrong. That there was major computer damage in the car due to water entering the luggage racks and destroying the computer system. I spoke with Mr Lebron about it and he said that it was an as-is sale and there was  nothing he could do about it. So I was required to pay over a thousand dollars for the programming of the computer which they refused to pay after assuring me they would take responsibility. It was ending up to be a nightmare. I went back and forth with him and he was not accommodating at all. Also on delivery of the car the back tires were making a large clunking noise. Having had several conversations with Jamie Lebron he told me if I needed work on the car to give him a call. I did call him and asked him to call Subaru with what I thought was shocks because of the noise. Upon bringing it to Subaru I found out that Mr Lebron never called there and never spoke to anyone and just left town on vacation, no help. So needing the car fixed again, I brought it to Subaru myself where they found several additional problems with the car that should have been discovered in the SAFETY CHECK at Capitol Chrysler Dodge Jeep by Jamie Lebron and his team. So they took the whole car apart and had to replace the ball joints, however the front sway bar links were shot and so were the rear tire bearings. Due to the tire bearings being shot it caused the brake rotors to come away from the metal and now brake replacement was needed also. So we were looking at an additional $1700 job to fix the problem. CAPITOL had put broken parts back onto the vehicle and it was unsafe to drive upon delivery. Mindly I had only put less than 2000 miles on the car since I purchased it for over 18grand. So I really want to advise people not to buy from this dealership. I trusted these people in good faith and all I got was problem after problem with it. Having me drive a car that was unsafe to drive for two months is totally unacceptable. I have tried to address this with Mr Lebron several times and he has always been very short and rude with me. I have attempted to reach out to the owner and the better business bureau as well. I have also called troubleshooters at NBC news and am waiting for a return call. When I call the dealership they will not connect me to the owner. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
