Brown sugar boba and HK boba
    Diana C.

Pretty consistent and tasty options. They have nondairy options too which is nice, but the vibes are kinda dead in there lately. Maybe a good place to study or read quietly now vs. before. The service was fine. They made everything quickly and were polite. I think the main difference is the prices steadily rising here. Hopefully this spot hangs in there because I like their tea!

COMEBUYTEA Milk Tea w/ Boba and Neptune Milk Tea w/ Boba

COMEBUYTEA is a known brand in Taiwan but not necessarily regarded as the best. That being said, the high quality is consistent with expansion in the states. It's strange that this Seattle location has a spin-off website from the California location. The menu is also more extensive, so there are differences. Drinks were also on the sweeter side. Either that or they're not great at adjusting sugar levels. Holding some reservations because of this. COMEBUYTEA holistically is better than the other highly regarded chain on the Eastside. More volume at lower prices with similar quality. I'd come here more often but go to the other spot for special occasions. The interior is nice and clean but the seats are tighter. There is a restroom with a passcode. Decent location around good food options in Cap Hill. COMEBUYTEA Milk Tea w/ Boba - 30% sugar tasted more like a 70% sweetness. As their signature, I believe it's a black tea base but the tea was light, competing with the frothy milk and sugar. Boba had a fair flavor in addition to holding a normal chew. Could be bouncier but very solid for a spot that specializes in tea and ironically, outdid the tea for me. Neptune Milk Tea w/ Boba - the Neptune is a green tea that gets additional flavor and aroma from preserved fruits. Without knowing, it's not too obvious but a few taste tests will reveal the floral green tea alongside elements of fruit flavor. Boba was again, solid, outperforming expectations compared to the tea.

Bubble milk tea with half ice and half sugar

Ordering here is fast and efficient with the kiosks, although flagging down someone is easy if you have questions about the menu or want to interact with someone. The counter is set up so you can watch them make your drinks with the teapresso machines. They are always sampling a drink as well from a self serve dispenser. The drinks here are great. I got the bubble milk tea with half ice and half sugar. The tea flavor was strong, and the boba was soft and chewy. Definitely coming back here again!

had higher expectations since i came here from a friend's recommendation, really enjoyed the konjac jelly in the drink but that's about it. i didn't feel like the tea was special and too flavorful, maybe i should have tried one of their milk tea drinks but i thought they're known for their pure tea bases. lots of seating area in the store, can order from kiosk.

Modern interior with teas and brew stations on display

I ordered the Comeback Milk Tea (top #1) with 30% sugar and 50% ice. The interior of the shop was modern and I liked seeing the teas on display along with the brewing machines. The wait was pretty short (less than 5 minutes) and the employees were nice! The drink itself was just okay (8/10). The tea flavor was very mild and even at 30% sugar, the drink was pretty sweet. The boba was a bit tougher than I like and a little difficult to suck up. While I normally like konjac jelly, this one was a little odd- shaped like boba but there was also slivers of it. Parking in the area can be a little difficult. I don't think I would go out of my way to return here but I would want to try the oolong milk tea if I was nearby.

Just here to report a FOURTH price increase in roughly just one year. My exact drink is now $8.39.

I ordered a comebuy milk tea (comebuy is their in house flavor) with 50% ice and 50% sweetness. It tastes perfect and still cold and refreshing. The way they brew tea is very unique and the steam that comes out always reminds me of instant pot! They only take orders from the machine and the line can get pretty long. When it gets busy the 4 steam machines will start brewing non stop and it can get pretty loud so I would avoid if you are looking for a more quiet spot. The tea and service here is absolutely excellent. My only gripe is having to deal with homeless, trash and graffiti all over the front entrance which is kind of out of their control.

I really liked the interior decor t's modern and classy. The seating is also quite comfortable and makes it a suitable spot for working from a cafe. They have a self-service kiosk for ordering, which is convenient, but I can see long wait times being an issue if the people ahead take a while. When I arrived, both kiosks were in use, and I ended up waiting at least 10 minutes just to place my order. I chose one of their top five picks: the Hong Kong Milk Tea with 50% sugar, less ice, cream, and boba. Service was a bit slow; it took around 10 minutes to receive my drink. The boba itself was good chewy with a nice texture but the tea tasted quite diluted and light. The cream added extra sweetness, and in hindsight, I wish I had gone with 25% sugar or had more customization options. Overall, it didn't live up to the hype for me. I don't think I'd return.

I haven't been to cap hill in a while and I was excited to see this boba shop had finally opened! Came in around 9:30 on a Saturday. The place had quite a few people sitting there, and I was really surprised how cute and comfortable it was! You could also smell the tea and brown sugar, and the decor of tea leaves boded well for quality. I ordered a brown sugar fresh milk on a tablet. The taro swirl smoothie(?) and kefir drinks with basil seeds also looked intriguing though. My drink came out quickly. The shop also had a sample of Neptune green tea to try which was mild and lightly sweetened, and it tasted great. My drink also was delicious. Brown sugar and fresh milk were in a good ratio, and the boba was well cooked. Tried some of my other friend's drinks and we all enjoyed everything we tried. Glad to have tried another good boba place in the Seattle area!

One of my top two favorite boba spots in Washington. This place never disappoints! I always make a stop here whenever I'm in Seattle. I love how they display all the teas they use for brewing, and you can actually see the process, which adds to the experience. The space is always clean and well maintained. It's a self order setup, but the staff are helpful if you need anything. The only downside is the parking. It's pretty rough in this area, so I only come by when it's convenient. Still, it's definitely a go to boba spot when I'm nearby!

After grabbing lunch with my friends, we wanted a sweet treat afterwards. We decided to stop by ComeBuyTea since most of us had never been before. It's very brightly lit inside and had a cozy, modern vibe. It was very clean and well-kept. It's also a lot bigger inside than I expected. It was very simple and easy to get our orders placed. They had self-ordering kiosks. I ordered the ComeBuyTea Milk Tea and didn't adjust the sugar or ice level. It was a nice sweet treat! It wasn't too sweet, but for my personal preference I might adjust it a bit next time I visit.

Hands down the BEST BOBA in seattle! The experience is just wow! There is freshly brewed tea for you to see the process. The passion fruit yogurt is so refreshing. The mango boba waffle was crisp, boba was warm and gooey! The staff is friendly and professional and the decor is minimal and Japan inspired. There is no parking. Along the metro line. On the corner.

My friend and I went around 11:45 am on a Saturday and the line was around the block. We saw lots of groups give up and leave annnd even people driving by commented that it wasn't worth it. However, my friend had her eye on the banana pudding hojicha so we stayed. The inside is cute, very crowded so you definitely have to loiter for tables as they become available. I do love the little tables and chairs by the entrance, definitely a call out to the asian experience. For 3 drinks, our total was ~30 so with my tip, $34 dollars total. And for that price, it better be good....ALAS. That was wishful thinking because the matcha was watery, the cream top had almost no flavor and the entire drink was lackluster. My friend's hojicha was undrinkable imo though she said the banana pudding was the best part and saved the drink for her. We also got the phe keo -- caramel coffee with honeycomb which was the saving grace but also a tad too cloyingly sweet for me. This is not worth the line whatsoever in a city with 300 other matcha spots that are frankly better. Check it out if you want to decide for yourself, but it's a pass for me.

I noticed that they now pour drinks from a pre-made plastic jug instead of making them fresh like when the store first opened. I usually don't get sick from drinking coffee but twice in a row is pretty bad. Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed. They also use thick plastic cups, considering that Seattle is a pretty green city and a lot of similar Vietnamese coffee shops use sustainable cups. Sad to say, but my time visiting this chain has come to an end.
