Located in the Lexington Green Center, Comedy Off Broadway is amongst stores, hotels, a gas station, and man-made pond. The venue itself is really small and is comprised of one show room with a tiny stage. One entertainer is enough to fill the area. This venue attracts a variety of A to C list celebrities. Eat dinner before you arrive or you will find yourself fasting. There is no food service restaurant. This location has a one drink minimum and servers will happily take your order. You have the option to also purchase drinks at the bar. The lobby is small and entertainers can sell merchandise, but limit this activity to one table or you will not have enough room as patrons are filing out. Patrons can purchase tickets online and/or through the box office. Customer service is good. Large groups can request seating arrangements. For all other groups, assigned seating has been predetermined. Patrons are escorted to seats. Also, tables are close and chairs even closer. The seating is very intimate. No photos or recording. Put your phones away. Looks like this location is now operating at full capacity with no mask mandate.

Let's see what Pat Godwin has to offer, heard it's pretty funny. Another 40th birthday celebration. Haven't been here since eight years ago. Drinks are still flowing well..... Let's leave 2022 with a bang. Cheers.

I'm a comedy club enthusiast so I was super excited to check out the local comedy club in Lexington. The venue was easy to locate and had plenty of parking available. Drinks were reasonably priced compared to other comedy clubs and service was great. No food is served so grab a bite to eat ahead or afterwards.

Nice club. Recently visited for a Ryan Hamilton show. The tables and chairs are really packed in there. We didn't have many issues other than a rather tall gentleman we had to ask to move a bit, but he was nice about it. We also were lucky enough to make friends with the couple we shared a table with. The club is clean but seemingly on the older side. The service was great, and the staff kept the drinks coming! I get impatient pretty quickly, and they were on it, despite a huge crowd! One thing I would add is a coat check. I don't like keeping my large winter coat on the back of my chair where people's shoes will likely get it dirty just because it hangs off the rather small chair. As with most clubs, they have lots of autographed photos of other comics who have performed there. I would not hesitate to come back for other comics!

There's plenty of seating, a super cool laid-back atmosphere, and the kind of crowd that makes you feel like you picked the right place without even trying. Bonus: the UK basketball game was on, the place was packed with fans, and the Cats WON so the energy was immaculate. High fives, cheers, happy strangers everywhere. You love to see it. We had the German Pilsner and the American Light. Both were crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you want in hand while celebrating a UK win. No notes. It's one of those spots where you go for "just a quick drink" and immediately start planning your next visit. We'll definitely be back to try food from Lucy's and hopefully catch a show next time. Great beer, great crowd, great vibes. Go Cats.

We ended up parking on the pay lot, which had limited options other than overnight for about $20... obviously, that is not their fault though. The arcade seemed fun but we weren't able to play since we had no cash/cards. It definitely had a nostalgic vibe. Since we got there early, we were able to secure free seating, but most of the benches were about to fall apart; we moved a few times, eventually to the top of one of the bars which had great views. Drinks were okay, I didn't get to try their food unfortunately since they were slammed. The only thing I didn't like was that we paid for the event, got a wristband, but there were so many ways you could have gotten in without paying anything at all. I'd love to give them another try when there is no event.

Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. Kentucky Theater is always our first choice for seeing movies in Lexington. The seats are not ultra plush and reclining, but they are comfortable. The overall theater experience is great. The staff is always so accomdating and willing to help resolve any issues. A true tresure, that is a prime event venue.

What used to be a fun outing is no longer fun :( I think we will now save up to go elsewhere which is a shame because this is closer but I think if the perks were better we would still be going. :/.

I was very awkward at the time, but I actually really enjoyed acting, and I won't lie, I wasn't very attractive back then either (Alright, I was ugly AF until I was in my 20s). The IMTA staff were SUPER judgemental, EVERY (acting) audition I heard about was through another client of theirs (since we were working together in a community theatrical production together (I did NOT hear about the theatrical produciton through IMTA, I found the auditions via the theatre's website, auditioned, and got a role), and that particular client of IMTA was VERY beautiful in appearance)! IMTA NEVER emailed me about ANYTHING! And their "classes"? I spent hundreds of US dollars for "classes" that really didn't amount to anything! They took the money and even though I pursued them for audition emails, they only sent one or two and then they were silent for MANY months until I bugged them again! It was a vicious cycle! And the fact I feel they judged me based on my appearance f**ked my self-esteem BIG time! I mean, I've always been self-conscious about how I look due to me being bullied in elementary school (from kindergarten all the way up until late middle/early high school), but IMTA, a BUSINESS with GROWN ASS ADULTS, made it 10 times worse! I pretty much quit acting for YEARS because of them... I LOVE acting, don't get me wrong...but I still HATE doing live theatrical or on camera performances (I'm TRYING to gain more self-confidence by auditioning, but even then I'm still, very modest). That's the main reason why I became a voice actress, and honestly I LOVE voice acting better than live acting! But, the point of the matter is it was the fact that IMTA belittled a client of theirs due to their appearance rather than their talent! IF anyone wants to be in the talent industry, PLEASE do research! Agencies will NEVER ask you for money, and they will only take a profit from you IF you are cast! And, REAL Talent Agencies DO NOT offer classes! IF you see an agency saying that they offer classes, it's a SCAM! Legit classes are offered at theatres, but classes are NOT necessary. I did forget to mention that IMTA said that I'd have to take some of their classes in order to be a client. I SHOULD have walked away right then and there, but...I was sixteen-ish they LEGIT scammed an UNDERAGED girl! Honestly, the best way to get a job in the industry is to put yourself out there as best as you can!

I'm currently a Casting Producer who has worked for NBC, FOX,Discovery, Hulu, and many more companies. None...I'll repeat...none of that would have been possible had I not walked through the doors of Images. When I first came to Images the bulk of my experience came from being in high school plays in Irvine Kentucky. I had no idea what the possibilities were and honestly probably didn't consider that a career in the entertainment industry was actually possible. Janie, and Images created a space that made it possible to learn, dream, and connect with a like minded community. I consider my acting coach there(and friend now), Joe Gatton one of the most influential people in my life. He really helped a kid from a small town allow himself to have bigger dreams. As a footnote I'd like to add some advice. Big dreams require hard work, investment, and sacrifice. Being successful as an artist requires just as much or more time, sweat, and money than any other career. There is no such thing as an over night success or a free ride. If you REALLY want to have a shot to make it you need to put in the work. Some times it will be exhausting. Keep going. There are many routes one can take on the highway to success, but I can say from experience that Images was essential to my journey.
