Was missing the balsamic dressing. And for some reason there was guacamole on it which was not requested or included in the menu description of the sandwich. In addition, the order was not ready for about 15 minutes after the estimated pickup time given on the app. Really disappointing for a $10 bagel sandwich. The blueberry French toast bagel was good but I requested it toasted and I received it cold.

Opened in 1988, and why am I just discovering it (it's less than 20 miles away)? Busy place, but plenty of help, and they do a great job fulfilling orders. I opted for the "Nana" ...choice of chicken or tuna salad w lettuce, bacon, and tomato on a wrap or bagel. For me, they had me at rye. Ate outside on one of the two wrought iron tables. Perfectly made, even down to the "lightly toasted" that I requested. And generous amounts of bacon and chicken salad. Proverbial "hit the spot". Fancy Bagels also features 27 different bagels, all baked fresh daily. Additionally, 12 different flavored schmears, including cannoli! There will have to be another time. Not quite as good as Astoria Bagel, but that's 120 miles away plus the Triboro Bridge toll, no place to park, etc, etc. I'll take Fancy Bagels. 5 carraway stars

Stopped by after driving the folks to an appointment…read more Immediately I felt as if I had stepped into a Hallmark movie. The locally owned bagel shop ladies were super friendly. As other people walked in, they were greeted on a first name basis. Two ladies out front were giggling like schoolgirls as they happily chatted over steaming cups of coffee. There were two benches outside with a view of the mountains off in the distance, and the first blooms of spring were present everywhere you looked. I had a french toast bagel with their honey nut cream cheese and a cup of coffee. The bagel itself has to be one of the best bagels I've ever had. Great texture and tasted so very different from your average store-bought bagel. I was so impressed by it that I ended up buying half a dozen to take home. Would highly recommend for a cheap and satisfying breakfast.

This means, that the coffee you get here is going to be Catalpa roasted beans, but with a higher selection of "fancy" pastries. (The apricot croissant I had was very very delicious. ) I do not love Catalpa espresso as much as Shelburne Falls coffee, because it has a very sweet taste with a bitter finish, I prefer something that is more of an earthy or mellow light roast. Just smelling the ground coffee makes you think of something flowery and sharp. They have limited breakfast sandwiches and a few drink specials that remind me of what they have over at Catalpa . Unfortunately, because all three stores are linked, that means none of them have soy milk anymore, which is my go to espresso add-in. It is even still on the sign at the counter. The staff is friendly, and it's at a nice spot near where Shelburne Falls used to be. Their main advertisement is their croissant, so four stars for having a super delicious croissant. For not having any seating, and advertising soy milk and having any, one star deduction.

True NY style bagels are boiled with a crispy outside, dense inside and bagel toppings on both sides. These were pretty light/fluffy on the inside and not really crispy on the outside without toasting. Fresh boiled bagels should never be toasted! The bottom of these bagels had corn meal instead of additional toppings. Ok bagels for agawam, just don't go expecting a true NY style boiled bagel here.
