My family and I visit this spa often, but after today we will be reconsidering. We had to leave early since the heat and stuffiness was unbearable. It's so warm in the main area, it's the same temperature as outside (where there's a heat advisory) and it's almost the same temp as the charcoal room. The charcoal room actually felt cooler because it felt less stuffy. The cold room was almost room temp and was packed with people trying to cool off. Multiple people were fanning themselves or drenched with sweat. We've asked multiple times for the AC to be lowered, where staff informed us that it was the lowest the AC could go. No other measures were taken to help with the heat, no fans or anything were put out. Our family came to celebrate two birthdays and were hoping to relax. We were not able to relax at all and instead wasted $200 at this not enjoyable establishment. We asked if we could get a partial refund, which the spa stated they could not. They offered us travel size soaps as an apology, which I declined.

I reached Mirako Spa in Brea for my facial appointment exactly 3 mins late. A lady who told me that…read moremy appointment was at 2:30pm. (I have attached text messages that my appointment was at 2:45pm). Upon showing the text message, she agreed that I was late by 3 mins. (+ 5 mins grace period). I was informed right away that I need to reschedule as I was late or cut down my facial time from 60mins to 40 mins. I should have arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Therefore, my showing up delayed by 3 mins would delay the next client by 15 mins as they needed time to prepare for the next client! Math doesn't add up any way we look at it unless they had informed in advance to show up 15 mins before the appointment time, which they hadn't. 1. There was absolutely no notification or instruction provided to me about arriving 15 mins early before the appointment time at the time of making my appointment or text reminder. Therefore if one is late by less than. 10 mins, they lose their facial time by 20mins and are lashed out if clients try to reason out. I was told me to depart as I was 3 mins late or reduce my facial time by 20 mins. 2. Jenny, who came over from inside took over the conversation, was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me for 15 mins non-stop when I tried to reason out that if I was late by 3 mins, if they wanted to be a stickler of time without informing me to arrive 15 mins early, they should take away 3 mins of my time not, 20 mins. She yelled at me saying "I don't want you to come here ever, I never want to give you service!". I don't understand how Mirako Spa even employs such people who are clueless about how to treat clients with courtesy, let alone working in a service industry. Here is the twist: when I checked in, another lady besides Jenny told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm, which their mistake to begin with as my appointment was at 2:45pm. It appears that they messed up with their own scheduling but because I was 3 mins late for my 2:45 appt, I bore the brunt of Jenny's unprofessional behavior as she couldn't admit that they had accidentally messed up scheduling my appointment. Instead she told me to leave or get a facial cut down by 20mins! I am attaching screenshots of my appointment time. As per Jenny, I should have a common sense to show up 15 mins before appointment time even though I wasn't informed about arriving early or else, appt that was anyway scheduled incorrectly by 15 mins sooner, from what I was notified. Try to avoid Jenny if you go to Mirako Spa in Brea, she can be scathing, unreasonable, and unprofessional. Try to reach 15 mins prior to your appointment even if they don't notify you.

I feel like the facility keeps up their standards, and it is very clean. To be honest, you need at least a minimum of four hours here unless you want to rush. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing solo date or hanging out with friends or just a nice pick me up. When you walk in you pay for the service you like or just the day at the spa. They'll provide you a key for the locker and some clothes for the common area. You'll have to takeoff your shoes when you walk in and wear their slippers in the locker area. When you enter, put your stuff in the locker and take off your clothes. Note that the tub area and the showers are nudity only. There are no swimsuits allowed, however, once you're in the common area like going into the salt or ice rooms, you'll be able to put on the clothes that the front desk gives you. Please note that there is no phones allowed in the tub or locker room area. The showers and locker room areas provide a lot of toiletries for you to use such as hair, dryer lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There's also a lot of towels but be mindful of your use. I appreciated all the different rooms that they had in the common area such as the salt room, the forest room, ice room, and then just the big common area space where you can lay down. I'm probably messing some of the rooms, but I'm planning on coming back this month for some R&R time for my birthday. I'm also very grateful that they also have a small Korean restaurant within the vicinity and you can wear the clothes that they provide into the restaurant. If you don't want to go to the restaurant and aren't that hungry, there are drinks and desserts that you can buy in the common area and enjoy. I'm so happy that this place exists and I don't have to go all the way to ktown to enjoy a spa like this!

One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. My facial was done by Chasity. She was also so nice and she gave me plenty of time to change and get comfortable in the spa bed. She listened to my skin concerns and tailored the products for my face. Throughout my appointment, she explained each step of the facial. At one point I was so relaxed, I fell asleep. Now the bad: The price for a massage is reasonable, but you must pay an additional 39.00 if you want a to use their lockers or robe, take a shower or use the jacuzzi. This was unexpected and confusing. Before arriving, I had called for clarification of this policy and was only told that they would charge 39.00 for use of the jacuzzi. I had no idea that I wouldn't be given a robe or allowed to shower without paying the extra fee. I'm in a spa club and I have never run into this issue before. This confusion may have been due to a language barrier. The shower area has a sign saying that you must run the hot water for 10-15 minutes to obtain hot water (!). I did so and still had to take a cold shower because the water never got hot. The only towels available are very small and very thin. They are not large enough to wrap around your body. The jacuzzi area shows deferred maintenance with broken tile, missing robe hooks and mold/mildew on the ceiling between the jacuzzi and the showers (ick). This is a nice facility, but the policies are confusing and it's sadly lacking in general upkeep. (See pics)

Never coming to this place again I do not like when the nail tech told me one thing and then charged differently. It is a very predatory tactic. Highly disappointed with my experience. Also for me they put something on my feet and it burned. One of my toes was left with a burn mark. The nail tech also didn't really understand English so it took her awhile to take off the product so I had to dip my foot inside so I wouldn't burn the rest of my toes.

It's out of my control. She told me if I didn't show to my appointment you was going to charge 50%of the services I told her I would show up for massage and sorry if I get her and her staff sick. If you're looking simply for a good massage to relief your stiff shoulder for a reasonable price...then this place would be it. You do get the money's worth. Massages at big spas can be very very pricey. 1 hour of massage at glen ivy (don't get me wrong, I love glen ivy for their facility) costs twice the cost of massage at comfort day spa... Also therapist at this place really do give you a good massage. Not those flimsy weak massages. But be sure to tell the therapist you want a firm massage if that's what you're looking for. If you're looking for a whole spa experience then comfort day spa may not be the place you're looking for, but if you're simply looking for a good massage, then this place would be it! read more

For years, I've been searching for a good massage but often felt let down by the $50 or $60 sessions I tried. However, my experience at Comfort Day Spa Brea was different. Despite neck pain from weightlifting and long hours at the computer, their $90 session with therapist Jenny was just what I needed. Her firm massage worked out all my knots, and it was so relaxing I even fell asleep. While the price seemed high at first, including the tip, it was definitely worth it. I love this place! I almost hate to review it because I don't want it to get too crowded, but I do want to support their business! Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Pricing is reasonable for what you get. They do not have the standard foot massage chairs where you sit and soak your feet in a tub. They have private rooms with tables. They do bring a bucket to soak your feet, its just not as comfortable as the chair if youre doing the foot soak. I usually do the full body table massage with hot stones and oils. They also offer cupping which is pretty cool. Pro tip: Ask for a punch card where they punch it every visit for a free massage.

As a result, we arrived a few minutes after 4:45 and the massage began around 4:55 PM. However, the session still ended around 5:25 PM, meaning I paid for a 40-minute massage but only received about 30 minutes of actual massage time. Another odd thing my girlfriend and I noticed was the inconsistency in the massages themselves. We paid for the exact same service, but our experiences were noticeably different. I was assigned a female therapist while my girlfriend was assigned a male therapist, which was perfectly fine, but my girlfriend received a much more thorough massage that included work down her legs, whereas I did not receive the same treatment despite us paying for the same service. It left us confused as to why there was such a difference in what was provided. What really pushed me to write this review, however, was the checkout experience. I offered a $5 tip and was immediately told there was a "$10 minimum." I have absolutely no issue tipping and fully understand that massage therapists deserve to be compensated for their work. However, I have never in my life been told how much I was required to tip, especially when there were no signs, notices, or disclosures stating that gratuity was mandatory. If customers are expected to pay a mandatory $10 gratuity, that should be clearly communicated beforehand or included in the advertised price. Instead, I felt pressured at checkout after already receiving less time than I had paid for. To make matters worse, the difference between a 40-minute massage and a one-hour massage is only $10, meaning I effectively paid the price of an hour-long massage while receiving only about 30 minutes of service. The massage itself was decent, but the lack of communication and transparency completely overshadowed the experience. I left feeling more taken advantage of than relaxed, which is the exact opposite of how a massage experience should end. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I hope management addresses these issues because no customer should pay for 40 minutes, receive 30, and then be told there is a "$10 minimum" tip requirement that was never disclosed beforehand.

Well 3 weeks ago, I hurt my back pulling out weeds for 2 days straight. I thought it would get better but was still in so much pain after 6 days. I could feel so many knots in my lower back and my lat was so stiff. I remembered Valerie from way back and how good she was. She got me in the next day for a 60 min session. She was just as amazing as I remembered her to be. I felt so much better after and within a few days my back pain was gone. I just saw her again today for a 90 min session, this time for all the knots in my traps but she worked on the whole body. Loved it! Val is so consistent, I highly recommend the 90. My shoulder, traps and neck were full of knots and so crunchy and the relief after is night and day. I finally feel normal haha. I don't think we realize how much we put up with regarding knots, pain, and stiffness. I have such a different outlook on massages now.
