So this is a reservation review. I had made reservations in January for my wife and son and I to stay for two nights. And we received confirmation for a king room that could house three. I called today politely to ask and confirm the reservation. However, the hotel's reservation specialist screamed at me, yelled at me and threatened me and would not let me speak. Fortunately, choice hotels made it right by giving me an upgrade in a discount. However, the unprofessionalism from the hotel representative still gets this hotel two stars. You need to respect, long-standing customers properly and listen and not threaten. read more

Due to the night clerk was only answering the phone with" hold on" and never returned to see what I needed, not good. Other than that, really nice hotel, location ( I walked to dinner right nextdoor) clean large rooms, and TOTALLY EQUIPPED FOR HANDICAP NEEDS , which I really appreciate ( shower stool and grab bars) Breakfast ok, they ran out of bacon and only had sausage to serve, but decent breakfast. Our room was clean and a comfortable size for the three of us. The pool was a nice addition to our stay. The bathroom was very clean and a good quality, considering the price of our room The beds were quite comfortable, with good pillows The staff were exceptional in their kind attitude, and helpfulness. Complementary breakfast was also very nice to have as I prefer to start my morning slowly without leaving my hotel. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with their recommendation of a local restaurant which we did end up trying. I will consider this hotel again if I'm looking to stay in Rehoboth again! read more

Surprisingly really good (machine) coffee on the first floor. I noticed the bizarre lamp connection to the outlet last night. It worked, but this isn't esthetically pleasing! We slept great. Fluffy, comfortable bedding. Meh shower - nice hot water but a Waterpik shower head like I had growing up! Free is free, but this was probably the least of my favorite Choice hotels so far. read more

Check in started off poorly as my friend and I reserved the king suite and when we went to check in it was no longer available. Apparently it had been given to someone else. So we had to stay in a double bed room. I didn't think this was fair and I still really don't understand how the mix up happened in the first place. The hotel room and bathroom was clean when we arrived which was nice. However the beds were uncomfortable and way too firm. I did not get decent sleep the first night. The walls in this hotel are also very thin. We could hear people laughing and talking between 2-4am. And around 8a-9a you hear other adults and children laughing on the way to the beach. This usually isn't a problem but when you sleep was interrupted through the night, is irritating hearing people early in the morning. I will not be coming back just based on the noise level. read more

This was a very comfortable and resful stay. I love the location. It was close to everything. Right near amazing restaurants, about 9 minutes from Rehoboth Boardwalk, and 2 mintes from the outlets. There is also a very nice winery less than 15 minutes away. The room was spacious and clean. We had a sofa to relax when we tired of lounging in the king sized bed. Television, microwave, and mini fridge right in the room was perfect. The breakfast served every morning was adequate. The waffles were great but to be honest it was very carb heavy. I nevef got the chance to enjoy the pool or the gym but they looked inviting. Coffee machine provided 24 hour coffee which was a decent cup of joe. I would stay here again. read more

I'm here now and only because Hampton was sold out. In town for a cycling event at Dewey- the front desk was very polite. That's the only reason they get 2 stars. This place is a dump. Ya know after a day of driving in bad weather, construction...... the last thing ya wanna do is switch hotels at the last minute. Also I prepaid so no refunds. At 169.00 . My tv hasn't worked- ok possibly the storm but nope my bike buddy is in the same hotel. I ditched choice hotels years ago and I should have known better. This place feels icky. Next time I would rather take my chances with a unknown hotel property but my cycle bud recommended them so I said why not but nope nope! Outside of the polite front desk and the location nothing good to say. I don't even want their breakfast - don't trust the quality. read more

This hotel was remodeled about 3 years ago. It is very nice. The counters in the bathroom are granite. The bathroom is huge!! Our room had a queen size bed and a fold out couch. The bed was super comfy and my son said the fold out couch was comfy too. The rooms are nicely decorated in a contemporary design. We did smell weed when we were in the hallway but it was a guest enjoying their weekend, not an employee. We have stayed at this location once before and it was so clean and comfy that we chose to stay there again. This time we didn't have reservations but we were able to get a room because it's not quite peak season. It's a great place to stay. read more

We stayed here for one night while visiting Rehoboth Beach. I have no complaints. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Cleaning procedures were explained clearly. I felt safe staying here, as masks are required in the hotel. The rooms were nice, spacious, and modern-looking. Fridge and microwave included. There is a Safeway in the parking lot and lots of restaurant options around. read more

Comfortable hotel located reasonably close to Rehoboth, Dewey Beach and Lewes. Quiet and well run. Breakfast is what I think of as the Choice Hotels' 'continental plus' breakfast-- the usual continental spread with some warm items (sausage and eggs). Perhaps not for real foodies but more than adequate for us. Loses a star for price-- $260+ tax is pretty pricey for out of prime season and considering the distance of the hotel from the ocean, bay and other attractions. If you're a shopper, however (I'm not) the hotel is in the middle of the outlets and perhaps that adds value for you. read more

I knew I needed to lower my expectations coming here. I was still disappointed. This is a basic hotel with basic bedding, basic service, and basic amenities. The worse part of my stay was the free breakfast. Doubly disappointing because this was one of the reasons that we decided to stay there. We received poor service from the staff working there who seemed to be bothered if you asked a question or needed something. We were there 5 minutes after breakfast ended and were finishing our meal. There were at least two other tables with people still sitting and eating. The staff began disassembling machines and putting away everything even though people were still there. They turned off the juice machine and were visibly irritated when we made an inquiry about it. The service from the front desk staff will also lacking. I would not recommend this hotel. read more

As someone who constantly travels to the Rehoboth Beach/Ocean City area, this is the 1st hotel I've come to in the area that not only has great pricing for the time of year but the rooms are beautifully set. They come with a microwave as well as a decent sized mini fridge. Towels and linens were placed nicely. The TV was huge, wifi was fast, staff was friendly and breakfast was great. My mother was bit by a something in this hotel. They handled the situation very unprofessionally. We informed the workers who confirmed that this isn't the first time someone has been bit and it may be by a spider. They have sprayed down the rooms and obviously this didn't work. We informed the general manager Linda of the incident and she continuously said that this could've happened anywhere. We are from Florida and it has been below 20 degrees here so her arm would not have been exposed unless we were in the hotel. Very unprofessional and rude. Another fabulous stay at the Comfort Inn. Totally remodelled and beautiful! Rooms are imaculately clean. Service was awesome. Staff even printed out directions home for our family. Free breakfast is the nicest I've ever experienced. Prices were good for the beach - $179 a night for two queens. Free parking and youre right next to Safeway for groceries. I only wish it was easier to get into the place - route 1 is crazy during peak season. read more

Staying here for my sons baseball tournament...the baseball organization booked practically the whole hotel ..They have one employee working ..one person working the entire place after 3...there are NO clean towels ...i asked for two days to get clean towels and they said they had NONE ..this is not acceptable ..i want to be compensated for this ...i feel like I'm staying at a truck stop . Our wedding was held on Rehoboth Beach and we chose Comfort Inn for the proximity to the outlets and beach locations as well as for the reasonable rates. We ended up staying a couple days before the weekend and a few days after at the hotel. The place was comfortable and they were able to group most of our friends close to our room. We enjoyed the continental breakfast buffet with waffles you make yourself daily and even got in the pool although it was a bit cool in September for that. I lost my room key once and they gave me a replacement right away and I was able to use the internet in the lobby with a printer to print directions to Dogfish Head for the brewery tour we went on. I decided to surprise my very stressed work related husband to a weekend shore excursion. To our utter dismay, I picked the wrong weekend to just pick up and go to Ocean City, MD. I have never had a problem getting a room before, but then, I did not think to check the events that weekend,which turned out to be The Marlin Tournament. We arrived around 8pm and tried multiple hotels/motels/inns to book a room to no avail. Finally, I decided to head to Rehoboth Beach area. Again, they were completely booked also, it seemed. Finally, around midnight, we found this hotel, again, very completely booked with one available room, or so they said, to the tune of almost $400 for one night. We had no other choice but to accept, (because we came from PA and I was not driving back another three hours. We were both spent (and yes, I know this was not this hotel's fault, but mine alone). It was a large suite, with a small kitchenette area, large den type area, bathroom and large bedroom, with a huge king size bed, (which I very much did love and it was actually very comfortable!). I did find a toothpick on the kitchen counter and a pepper packet on the floor in clear view, but other than that, the room seemed very clean. Supposedly, this was one of only two rooms available in this hotel, which could very much be true, but not sure how believable. If this hotel was that completely booked, I am surprised that the continental breakfast area was not packed to it's capacity or even full for the time we were in there. There were many open tables available at all times. The breakfast area itself was very nice, clean and kept stocked of breakfast items. The girls were working as fast as they could to keep things fresh and stocked. Also, all personnel we encountered were very nice and friendly, that we dealt with. Well, maybe not the midnight check in guy, but hey, who is smiling at midnight?! Lol...He was pleasant though. But, the "non smoking" hotel very much smelled like old, stale smoke. As soon as we walked into the room, I could smell the smoke. My parents used to be smokers and I could tell this was not "fresh" smoke smell, but a smoke smell that has been ingrained into the carpet, furnishings, draperies, etc., from probably being a smoking hotel over a long period of time. I think all the carpets, furnishings and draperies, maybe even the wall papered or painted walls, could very much use a much needed deep cleaning to eliminate the old, stale, smoke smell. I heard others in the hallways commenting on the smoke smell, as well of the hotel. It is due to the smoke odor that I am giving this hotel two stars and would not recommend staying here, unless you are or were a smoker, it might not bother you as much, if at all. For the price of the room, no matter what the time of season, a room with that odor is not worth $400. read more

I stayed here for my 1st vacation in 5 years...and believe me we did our research!!! The hotel was lovely, was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room wasn't done being cleaned by 4pm which was check-in, but I would rather it be cleaned properly then done quickly and still be dirty. The pool isn't very big, but I went to swim in the ocean, not a pool. The drive to the beach is tolerable, even with tourist traffic...approximately 10 minutes or so. But the hotel was worth the short drive. Centrally located to pretty much everything. Reasonable prices, I thought was worth it for what we got. Definitely plan on staying here again when we go back! read more

Came here for one night and my family and I are not pleased. We had to switch rooms due to ants crawling everywhere, on the walls, on and out of the air conditioner and the tables. When we switched rooms, there were STILL ants but this time they were crawling in the beds. on the nightstands, the lamps as well as the alarm clocks. COMFORT INN NOT!! HANDICAP BEWARE..DO NOT STAY HERE!! I will begin with the positive first. The staff is friendly, the Continental Breakfast was hearty and well stocked each morning. The pool and the exercise room were family friendly and comfortable. Now for the negatives.The Handicap Accessible rooms are very small first off. When you think of handicap accessible rooms you think of spacious, cleanliness and ample maneuverability. This Comfort Inn was none of that!. I walked into A room with a carpet that smelled of mildew, staleness, ingrained carpet dirt and odor and stuffiness. I alerted the staff who then attempted to discount the foul musky odor of the room. To add insult to injury upon entry into the supposed handicap accessible bathroom, I was met with a bent shower chair that was big enough for a toddler to fit on. This little shower chair was the Comfort Inn' s accessible shower facilities. I was livid!. I have never stayed in a hotel that was so ill equipped to accommodate a disabled patron as this Comfort Inn. This hotel was the worst I have ever experienced. The downplay of the horrible musky room odor, the toddler size shower chair and the lack was an absolutely horrible experience that I would never want a disabled or elderly person to endure I REITERATE.I YOU ARE Disabled or elderly do not stay at this COMFORT INN. read more

On May 27th I checked into the comfort inn rehoboth for a one night stay . Everything was fine until the next day when I discovered that I had been charged $150 on my credit card after me and my wife had checked out . Once I was made aware of these unauthorized charges I immediately called the business and spoke to the General Manager , her name is Linda Cocker . I explained to her that I was charged $150.00 and wanted to know exactly what for . She then told me that I was charged $150.00 because of smoking/cleaning charge and that was because in her words "the room smelled of marijuana" the problem is neither me or my wife smoke marijuana . I told the manager neither one of us smoke and this has to be some kind of mix up . She said no her room attendant definitely smelled marijuana and that she can not and will not refund the money to my card . I was then told to call the corporate office , which I did . I filed a complaint with the corporate office and was told to call back in a few days after they do an investigation . After those few days I called corporate back and was informed that Linda Cocker told them that she was certain I smoked in the room ( again I don't smoke tobacco products or marijuana) and will not be refunding the erroneous charges . Corporate then said it's nothing they can do because Choice hotels just franchises hotels out to independent contractors who then operate the hotel . I've stayed in hotels all over the United States and world and have never been charged for any smoking in rooms I'm totally flabbergasted and upset . I will never stay at another choice hotel ever again read more

I needed a central location stay in the Rehoboth Beach area for a weekend to look for homes for sale ? I went knowing not to expect anything great, only a hotel on a highway to rest at. I was pleasantly surprised how nice and friendly the hotel was ?! The rooms are nice, clean and good size. They also offer breakfast in the morning ( complimentary), cereals, eggs, waffles, fruit etc.. Not just your average coffee and donuts type of breakfast. The front desk gal name Marie was fantastic, she gave me a wealth of information of the area I was interested in purchasing and so much more ! I'm surprised by all the good reviews. We would never go back to this hotel. Tried checking in at 5 pm and waited almost 30 minutes for help. Then I was told what do you expect I'm here by myself. So basically he was the maintenance person, check in person and housekeeping person for the night. Then I asked what about the manager on duty, he said there wasn't one. So one person running a hotel?! Anyway the room was clean and spacious but the bed was horrible. So hard that I couldn't even sleep. The thin plastic feeling blanket was the cheapest blanket I have ever has the discomfort of using. They claim to not replace linens or towels for three days to save water but we really needed towels and was told there's a room limit of four towels. The breakfast was ok, what you'd expect for a continental breakfast and the people were nice but I just can't get over having zero employees available at a normal time of night. read more

TRAVELERS WITH DISABILITIES BEWARE!!! My fiancee uses a wheelchair, and we specifically placed a prepaid advance reservation for an accessible room. However, when we got there, it turned out that their idea of accessibility was a room with a bathtub, and aisle ways around he bed too narrow to get a wheelchair through. In other words, not only could she not clean herself, she couldn't even get into the bed!!!! We ended up going down the road to another property. I've tried to discuss this with the general manager, but she's never in her office and won't return my calls. read more

They have bed bugs!!! I spent a night there with my friends this July, 2015 and woke up next morning at 6:00 AM with bed bug bites all over my arm. Totally unacceptable for the 4 stars hotel, especially considering room prices they have! I have pictures of my bites and of the bed bug itself that I found on my pillow. Staying in this hotel made our weekend and whole Rehoboth experience miserable. The staff did not seem worried ether and did not express to be sorry. Bad service. Our initial reaction after seeing the hotel from the outside was, "nothing special", though I wasn't expecting it to be the Waldorf. After walking inside, however, we were pleasantly surprised how clean and inviting it was. The woman who checked us in, who happened to be a manager, was courteous and friendly. As we walked into our room, we felt it was a little out-dated, but not too bad. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was good, other than the hardened off-white dribbles of something on the sofa. (I'm pretty sure I don't want to know where they're from). Anyway, the only inconvenience we had to deal with was our key card not working on our 3rd day. After going back down to the lobby, the front desk employee immediately said upon arrival, "Are your keys not working?" There must have been a glitch in the system. Nothing they could do about it, so we weren't that upset. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and bright, no light bulbs were out, no ceiling leaks and outside noises were minimal. The only 2 complaints we had were the mini-fridge being entirely too cold (our bottled tea and juice and even some lunch meat we brought froze) and the upper lock on our door was loose. Other than that, our stay with Comfort Inn was quite enjoyable and we'd stay there again. read more

This was another find on Priceline.com for us and I suppose the pickings were slim over the President's Day weekend. We stayed here one night and it was quite pleasant. The front desk is super helpful and very nice. When we were in the midst of checking in (they were sold out entirely that night), we had been assigned a smoking room. We're both non-smokers and the gal at the front desk knew it from the second she began telling us. She politely told us she'll see what she can do and asked us to wait for her and took an incoming call. Luckily, that incoming call was a regular guest that was calling to cancel their reservations for that night which means we were lucky enough to score the last non-smoking room for the night. This was great and very much appreciated. The room was spacious with two beds and quiet enough for the night. The free breakfast was a nice touch, but for our tight schedule we weren't willing to wait for the DIY waffles. Instead, we opted for the toasted bread, cereal and juice. PSA: My bf tried the egg discs and thought (by their shape) they were pancakes. Don't bother with them as they looked and tasted quite gross. read more

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff is very friendly, and rooms are clean. They offer breakfast from 6am to 1000 am. The breakfast is ok. The waffles were decent, but the juice disgusting. It's in good location. It's about a 10 min drive without traffic to the Boardwalk. read more

The room was small and the location, though convenient, wasn't particularly attractive but then, it's on Rt. 1. The place appeared to have been recently rehabilitated.
